Mr. Deere used to come to our ceremonial ground and sing the feather dance after the all night green corn ceremonial dance was over. I remember those days and it was wonderful and I would participate in the feather dance.
Phillip Deere told Billy Eduard Albert Meier, from Switzerland, that "The Native peoples never needed the White Man to teach them what to believe in, we've known all our lives, we never needed a book to tell us where we are going or where we came from". He knew our ancestors came from the stars and we were taught rightly in the beginning and have since forgotten how to live rightly.
It makes me ashamed of my fellow man that they persecuted these people. It just shows our arrogance and greed and the extremes we will got to for satisfying that greed. Shame on you white man.
i am mostly of anglo descent. although my parents swear that i have some creek and cherokee ancestry. regardless of where my ancestors came from, i am proud to have knowledge of these noble people. it is sad how history played out, but this corrupt nation will crumble from the inside out. i hope that b4 i die that these indigenous people get their land back.
He is a very wise man with a very wise message. The world would be a better place if people listened to his message and followed it. We all know something is not right with the way we live, we are not in our natural state. If you go out into nature your worries disappear, you feel more peaceful and feel happier.
This is fucking awesome. This is the best video I've ever seen in my life. Thank you so much. I thought I was crazy for thinking like him, but now I know there are other perspective in this world. I'll definently tell my children that perspective.
most of the younger generation to big steps and went to the powwows where they found a culture. Powwow is a small part. So many comments on who is a better singer or who is the best singer or dancer at the powwow and no comments on stuff like this. Free will though. We all have free will, but it would be nice to have the younger generation take an interest in the bigger picture.
