hey im looking for a esc for my team icon racing 5.5t modified racing motor. im wondering if the sidewinder would work with it smoothly. i race 4x4 short course... i know you said its not perfect for the 4x4 sct, but im getting the new sc10 4x4 and im wondering if my motor would work with it, if not can you tell me which esc that would that retails under $100 (LRP sxx is just to expensive) thanks
@Supermage479 No, it won't because the Sidewinder is a sensorless system and the 5.5T motor is a sensored motor. You might want to check out the Novak GTB2, we have it on our site for $99.99 right now. NOV1709 is the part number.
i dont get it.u guys are a big company.instead of reviewing random crap why dont you chose to do reviews on models that people are actualy interested in buying?like different kinds of rc cars as well as hellicopters and planes(which u do for that latter)im sure ppl would care to see reviews on cars they might wannna buy and stuff.as well as new transmitters and stuff.most of the stuff u review are useless to ppl in rc.
@kafgeo12345 instead what u do (as far as ive seen from ur channel is reviews on models a ten year old would wanna buy at the mall.i mean thats ok i guess if ur target group is 10 year olds but wtf!anyone with a little bit of knowledge and some hands on experience on a few different rc models out there plus a little free time and a fraction of ur resources could do better than that!
@kafgeo12345 I like the reviews. Horizon has been around for many years now. They mail out catalogs on the latest items so always up to date on whats new. As for reviews there usually is a video on the item
The video looks a lot nicer! At the end, you mention going to the online chat... what site should we go to for that? Is it a regularly scheduled event?
@marhar2 Yes, this is a live weekly broadcast every Thursday at 4PM Central on our UStream.tv page. Simply head there and do a search for HorizonHobby and you'll find us. You can also check it out on our Facebook page too as we embed the video there too.
@mfasouletos No and I don't know that one could be developed. The AR.Drone uses the gyroscope built into the i-devices for control. I don't know of a BB handset that has a gyroscope (maybe the Storm but not 100% on that), although the new Playbook Tablet "might". But then again that isn't running BB6, that has it's own OS from RIM. Android devices have the hardware to do it, as do WinMo 7 and HP/Palm webOS devices and I wouldn't doubt that you'll see other things from other mobile OS developers.
@tomstail There's an unofficial app for Android users from our understanding. The folks at Parrot have concentrated on iOS because they wanted to do one format REALLY well than have to split their resources between multiple platforms.

That is not something I would buy. Way way overpriced plus I would get bored very quickly. I am excited for the new plane that will be coming out.
