Multiple, light passes are important. The acrylic will bubble if you heat it too much or too quickly. If you hold your torch too close or too long on one spot it will bubble, smoke, and even completely warp into a black blob of goo. Make sure you practice this technique a few times before trying the real do.
Sanding is the only way to get them out. I recommend sanding progressively from 80 grit to 220 grit. At this point you can try flame polishing again, or, if you do not feel comfortable flame polishing, continue to progress through sand paper grits until you reach about 1000. Start wet sanding at about 400. This will give you close to the same thing as a flame polished edge.
you kept the flame too long on your material you want to lightly brush over and watch what the material is doing if it starts to darken or flex you need to move off it FAST"!
Crazing city. I recommend for long term edge stability that edges be buffed only, not flame polished. Craze is ugly.

i recommend you to file first, then buffer the you burn it with the torch, if not, there will be lines on the edge of the plastic
