  • that is one awsome ship man, but seriosly show it going to warp!

  • It looks like the Enterprise if the Borg assimilated it.

  • what software was used to creation this animation?

  • So the Updated Enterprise A is missing one thing crucial that makes it the Enterprise A; the A.....

  • All the Abrams Enterprise needed was red nacelles. Then it'd be fine.

  • Good Lord! That is an amazing Enterprise! Waaaaaaaaaaaaaay better that JJ's!

  • This Enterprise is great! Looks alot more classy and in my opinion the design fits todays Trek version of the new Constitution. I just want to see a new series already!

The only two things I liked about JJ's Enterprise today are... The main viewer window on the bridge and the look of her at warp speed! Both those are reproducable on this ship.

  • I don't dislike the Enterprise from the last movie but this one resembles the original much more while still beiing awesome. This would have fitted better in the movie

  • The "Doomsday Machine" would've turned around and ran from this version of the U.S.S. Enterprise!!!

  • @majorwarrior1, they never put the letters on the hull. I don't know why, but that's just it. The Enterprise classes also went: NX, Constitution, Constitution Refit, Galaxy, Sovereign.

  • @KrinkutAlliance actually you forgot the Enterprise B which was Excelsior class and the Enterprise C which was Ambassador class

  • @Oswin2006 I don't recall the Ambassador or the Excelsior ever being an Enterprise. Kirk was always on Constitution or Constitution Refit, Archer was always on NX and Picard was always on Galaxy and Sovereign.

  • Comment removed

  • @KrinkutAlliance OSwin2006 is correct. Read up on the B and C if you are interested in their history. They were also briefly covered in the movies (6 and 7) and TNG (Yesterday's Enterprise). Also, I agree that this redesign of the original constitution class is amazing. The official Constitution refit is still my favorite, but this design would have been perfect for the 2009 movie and the appearances in the Enterprise series.

  • @SentraMaster I looked it up. Now it's saying fucking Constitution was the Enterprise A. The internet's gone fucked up as more Enterprise's came along, or is it just because they decided NX-01 shouldn't of been the Enterprise A?

  • @KrinkutAlliance The Enterprise A has always been a Constitution Class...

  • @Jallorn Then what does that make NX-01 Enterprise?

  • @KrinkutAlliance A prototype. And a retcon. And non-canon as far as I'm concerned.

  • @Jallorn How come they used it as a prime ship then? (They made 4 or 5.)

  • @KrinkutAlliance as far as i can tell, the NX-01 is just that, an NX class starship.

  • @KrinkutAlliance The U.S.S. Enterprise - B was an Excelsior class and you see it in the Star Trek movie Generations, and the U.S.S. Enterpirse- C was an Ambassador class and you see it in the tng episode "Yesterday's Enterprise"

  • @Heavensrun, all the Enterprises were addressed with a letter. This is Enterprise B.

  • @KrinkutAlliance I don't see a B on the hull. Actually, the Enterprise-B is an Excelsior class.

  • That's pretty awesome, though...It's not the Enterprise A. <.< It's an updated version of the Original enterprise. No bloody A, B, C, -or- D. ;p

  • Gorgeous!!!

  • This is really an excellent job of retro-visualization of what we saw in TOS. More metal, kind of clunkier, kinda louder, but badass for its time. Who did this? An impressive effort, and Kudos. Not to say I don't like the JJ version, but this seems to make more sense to the fan...

  • I wouldnt want to get in a firefight with that!

  • Um...it is not the Enterprise A, but hell alot better than J.J.'s off-the-scale size Enterprise, which I still can't beleive that that Enterprise is larger than a Galaxy class starship!! I hate to see the size of the Galaxy class in the alternate future reality. ;)

  • That design is much better than the design from the 11th movie

  • Wow, very nice, it is a shame they didn't use this design in the movie, closer to the classic enterprise.

  • Comment removed

  • Do a movie :D i love it :D

  • this ship is still too advanced design wise compared to clean hull lines of the old enterprise but is far better than that new eyesore. This ship must fit into the design history of the enterprise as later on this ship must convert to the awesome looking enterprise refit ship of the movies.

  • There's a distinctly odd use of proportions, especially in the warp engines, in the Abrams Enterprise which can make it hard to look at. Not so here. Everything "fits".

  • Why doesn't someone do a fan edit and redo the FX for the JJ Abrams film, Heck people are doing the Star Wars over and putting really cool stuff in it. It's about time someone does a version of that Trek with a good looking Enterprise

  • Fantastic pass under the saucer section. Very impressive look.

  • Nice looking ship, the phasers were great.

  • This Enterprise looks like a body builder with all of those nasty bulging veins everywhere. Excellent quality animation, though.

  • I really like your Enterprise. This is better than any other, especially that monstrosity in the movie. Look at how the narrow end of the engineering hull has to carry the entirety of the stress of the Warp Nacelles. They would snap at first jump to warp. Even in a vacuum there are stresses from torque, compression factors of a subspace field, and the pounding exerted from the fabric of space would tear it to pieces.

  • Who made this???

  • @k3ym4st3r Have you found who designed this Enterprise. I have no idea how to copy this video or how to find some CGI meshes of it. I am really interested in any information or how to contact the maker of the video. Youtube is still new to me, as is the mechanics of it all. Any help would be most welcome.

  • @templerman The other day I was watching a video of some dude that replicated the enterprise deck by deck, using the real schematics from okudagrams. com . THAT was cool.

  • That looked really good even in DS9 when they went back an saw the original Enterprise they still didn't add any detail to the ship that looked cool tho.

  • It looks like what the enterprise would have become had the borg gotten hold of it

  • OMG! Too awesome! I think I wet my pants when the phasers fired. Very nice.

  • Does anyone know who designed this version of the Enterprise?

  • thats not the "A"

  • i love Abrams enterprise and this one but i love all trek.....

  • THATS BADASS RIGHT THERE! I LIKE IT ALOT

  • This was no better than the one in the movie.

Is well designed ship REALLY too much to ask for?

  • I think the weapons sound effects are superb against JJ's enterprise which sounds like he nicked them from Babylon 5

  • Omg, this sucks!

  • It's ugly!

  • i like this one better than the one actually in the movie

  • Much prefered over the JJ's enterprise but still lacking a specific grace that the A and refit had.

  • This is what JJ's should have been!

  • @SpadXIIIFlyer Point is, JJ's should have never been. Paramount should never have let Abrams, Orci, and Kurtzman anywhere near Star Trek. JJ Abrams is going to end up killing The franchise quicker than NBC did back in 1969.

  • @Actionguy1 The Trek franchise was already killed by lackluster movies featuring the Next Generation cast and by TV series that were utterly boring. JJ Abrams has revived the franchise, gotten people interested in it again. Trek XI is the best movie since Wrath of Khan.

  • @KenoshiAkai That's debatable. Any episode of the ST animated series was more faithful than this lens flare filled sack of poop from Abrams and company!

  • someone should rename this.

it's not an update for A. its an update for the original ship.

  • I would have preferred this one in the new movie.

  • Its better than the JJ Abrams varient

  • very very cool

  • i love the phaser cannon sound its so un star trek but great.

  • Very nice though that was the original enterprise ncc 1701 not the 1701A

  • WOW! this is the best enterprise that i ever seen =) Great find

  • If I have the funds, I would finance this into a full feature movie!

  • this version of the enterprise is a hell of alot cooler than what was in the jj's trek

  • word

  • I second this

  • @ajclare88 Most definitely! They really should've payed a little bit more attention to how cool the original Enterprise really was. This concept here has it right in my opinion.

  • @ajclare88 so true

  • @ajclare88 And this was a design much closer to the original, which I know a lot of Star trek fans would have liked.

  • Actually, that's not the A - it's a redoing of the original one.

  • I got an idea. How about they damage JJ's Enterprise and it gets rebuilt into this one? lol

  • yeah, completely destroy jjs enterprise in such a way that vulcan gets undestroyed and then have romulans use all the JJ enterprise parts to make urinals with.

  • thats really a good idea. paramount should consider that!!^^

  • @lcxantos

    oh i so agree

  • @lcxantos I have a better idea. Someone damage JJ so he can't make a mockery of Star Trek anymore!

  • very good so much better than the fuckin version of jj abrams

  • P.S. - AWESOME VIDEO!

  • I'm not complaining about the new incarnation of Star Trek; I am glad that the franchise is still alive. Nevertheless, I feel that time travel is a rather weak way of supporting an excuse to "change" canon. I would like to see more the Enterprise B or C, or more of the E, or even a new crew aboard a yet unseen F model; but I remain unconvinced at this point that a long-term focus on time warped TOS impersonators is going to be best for Star Trek in the long run.

  • Its an ok design. Just needs to be more smooth like the original.

  • cool! The new movie really needed that piece of music too! Its sort of the E's signature theme but it was totally absent from abrams version.

  • The way it should have been. Great job!

  • I have to say that they sould have gotten this guy to do the design of the Enterprise he's seems like a true fan and his design stayed more true to TOS then JJ's did I have this ship as my computer wall paper. it really beautiful.

  • Nice, I just noticed the background music when it's firing weapons. It's from TOS when they're fighting that planet-eater thing, isn't it?

  • Amazing. Much prettier than Abram's version.

  • The uniforms were good but they could have done better in ship design

  • Abrams Enterprise is to much like the Refit. Yes it's an alternate time line but still there shouldn't be that much different in design. thus the Abrams Enterprise should have look simular to this one

  • i found out the bludy thing is bigger than the galixy and the soverin class THEY HAVE FINALY have a warship not a starship asin fast moving and more realistic

  • I like the design, very neat.

  • Nice video and ship but the new version lacks the originals sleek exterior. The saucer is also just a tad to thick. Again still great video.

  • that could be the Phase 2 enterprise which was never done lol :P

  • I dont believe so, I remember reading that the design used in The Motion Picture was what originally was set for Phase 2. Then again it has been 20 years since I read any information regarding the original movie.

  • I mean a series

  • I have seen the movie and the "new" 1701.. I know its design leans more toward the original 1701 refit, and the 1701-A.. Which has always been my pick!.. Shes just plain BEUTIFUL!! But this version created by "Gabriel C.Koerner" back in 06 Is more faithful to the original 1701 design made more realistic, and with more refined detail! I kinda sorta wish they had gone more with this one..The new 1701 looks even more advanced than the A!!

  • its NCC 1701

    Not "A"

    Not "B"

    Not "C"

    Not "D"

    And not fricken "E"

  • Zitat von Scotty ;)

  • What about NX-01? and not to mention the movie spawned a new one too.. lol

  • Whats wrong with "D" and "E"? They were great Enterprises...

  • Yeah that's what I'd like to know, where the hell is this from?

  • Good, good. But on the whole the Enterprise from the new (and hopefully now only used) timeline is so much better, so much sleeker, and so much cooler. Not to mention that it's the size of the Enterprise-E with the old Enterprise's good looks, and with a new crew that in truth seems to share only the name and genes of their counterparts (for a good reason, it's an alternate timeline after all).

  • wow this animation is cool, i really like the barrage at the end!

on a different note, the alternate timeline enterprise uses elements from the old series and mixes it in with a new style. personally, i think it was very sexy... and i've spent my childhood watching enterprises come and go, so yeah. you go girl. x

  • All I ask for is a strong ship, and a star to stear her by.

  • part of me dies every time a trekkie misquotes that.

  • Yes, yes, I should have said "TALL", and i realised that right after i clicked "post comment" But since You Tube has no "edit" feature...........

But at least I know "Row, Row, Row Your Boat"

  • Oh and this version Of the Enterprise is way better than the Garbage in the Movie. Had they used this one It might be actually worth seeing the Movie in spite of it being directed by a Retard.

  • Yeah, that ship from the movie was bad looking compared to this one.

  • .........No, not really. This one was kinda stupid, (still kinda cool, but not as imaginative. And I know that neither one was.) while the one in the movie was cooler. And bluer, which is nice.

  • The new movie is not really closer to the refit. There was a step skipped going from TOS to TMP because of a series that was cancelled. I liked the movie but it had nothing to do with the trek I grew up with and loved. I wont post any give aways but it has no place in the startrek chronology

  • I like this new movie even tho this starship wasn't in it, Abbrams made some more modifications, I still enjoy it. I have watch Star Trek since the 60's and hope to see this as a TV series or more movies.

  • I wasn't originally a fan of the Enterprise in the new film, but after giving it some time, I'm in love with her - she's tied with the refit as my favourite Trek ship ever. The Enterprise in this clip is closer to the original in some ways, but at the same time, it's far bulkier and less graceful, which was what made the original design and the refit so original and appealing. It's all down to personal taste, however, and this is still excellent modelling work.

  • Hear, hear. I love the new Enterprise. She makes me think of the version of the Enterprise from the never produced Star Trek: Phase II serise, which would have gone into production in the late1970s until Paramount decided to switch from TV to making Star Trek: The Motion Picture. The new Enterprise in my opinion has her own charms, not mention she can kick butt.

  • Personally, I like the Abrams Entperprise, because it makes more sense in the evolution towards the Refit.

  • I never thought of it that way, I'm just glad that it was written as an alternate time line and not a "retelling" so they really can go places with it and not effect the original story. That in turn could produce "leading up to" movies or shows in Pichard's time.

  • the sound effects for the weapons are much better than in the movie as i have just come bak from seeing the new movie

  • so do all you people currently drive 1977 Ford Pintos with a couple of pieces of plastic and putty slapped on to make it look more "updated"? the Abrams "Enterprise" looks fine and makes more structural sense... it looks like it could actually fly as opposed to the spindly original...

  • Much better then the brand new J.J. Abrams's version in " Star Trek " .

Atleast this one's more accurate and faithful to the 1966-69 original .

Im seeing the Film next Saturday even if im not intirely happy with the Enterprise's appearance .

  • DEAR GOD. LET US MAKE A MOVIE TRUE TO CANON, ONE THAT WILL BE SO MUCH CLOSER TO RODDENBERRY'S ORIGINAL VISION! WITH THAT SHIP, AND ONLY 20 MILLION DOLLARS, WE CAN DO IT! (I have been an encyclopedia reading fan since I was 6) LET US ROLLLLLL! 8D!

  • wow. this design is WAY better than the one chosen for the new movie.. looks true to the TOS version, but updated for the silver screen.

  • better then the piece of shit there using in the movie

  • Friggin AWESOME!! When you can see the colors, it looks like a federation vessel. When you see it in the dark portion of the video, it kinda looks like the Enterprise was assimilated by the borg. I hope a model of this one comes out! :-)

  • Was this made with Newtek's Lightwave3D?

  • Who made this? Fucking astounding effects. What, is that interpretation of the original ncc-1701 from TOS? You're wrong in your title, this is not ncc-1701a.

How come in some of the TOS episodes the Enterprise had those little horn looking markings on the bottom of the main saucer?

  • Those little horn things are thought to be landing gear. Apparently, in an emergency, the Constitution Class could separate from the 2ndary hull, and land on a planet by extending those little horn things on the saucer.

  • dude he said updated enterprise a ehich means like custom redesigned enterprise A

  • But he doesn't have the "A" on his design of the ship. Just NCC-1701.

    It;s AWESOME, just sayin...

  • The little horn things appeared whenever Kirk hadn't gotten any alien poontang for a couple days.

  • well you forgot to include the "A" into the ships registry... NCC-1701-A which is just a constitution class refit... the Enterprise A used in at the end of STiv, STv and STvi is actually the newly refurbished USS Yorktown, but they renamed it Enterprise A to replace the original after it's destruction.

  • this enterprise would have been way better for the new one. the new one looks to much like the excelsior

  • that was odd

  • Guys seriously ffs it is the enterprise the damn ship gets refitted before pike gets his hands on it!. they prob look at this one and go "Fuck those engines are to god damn big" and refit her into the enterprise we all know. Personally I like it it's one step above Enterprise nx and just a bit under the white smooth panels of Enterprise ncc 1701. I bet you guys anything that there were fans that seen the tmp enterprise and reacted like some people are now.

  • is this going to be the new/old enterprise???? ohh it's.... very different of the original!!! the ship is amazing, but not for be the new enterprise!! (in my opinion)

  • this is actualy similar to a idea for the refit of the constitution class but trek fans voted aginst it d

  • I think I like this Enterprise better than the one they designed for the new movie.

  • Geile Enterprise,der Phaser echt Bööse.....Machen Sie es so..weiter.....

  • As fans of star trek I think we should accept that the trek we all grew up on and loved is gone and is never coming back. Yes, we have a right to complain and moan about ship designs, story line inconsistancies, and what is and isn't considered canon. But I'm not going to allow this to take away from the excitement of a new trek movie being released soon.

Try to enjoy it for what it is and don't sweat the small stuff. After all, it can't be any worse than that train wreck that was "Voyager"

  • oof. below the belt with that voyager crack. Voyager had it's ups and downs just like any other show. i.e. "Year of Hell", "Scorpion", "Future's End"

  • I don't like this overdetailed abomination any more than I like that bastardized design from the upcoming "Star Trek XI."

If your going to make "Star Trek" then make "Star Trek!" Not some disjointed story line set in an altered timeline!

  • My fellow Trek fanatics don't hate it till you see it. Remember, everone thought Batman: Dark Night was gonna suck because the Joker was being played by a gay cowboy

  • lol heh untill most ppl that saw the Dark Knight didint realize that the role of the Joker was played by the late Heath Ledger.

  • Comment removed

  • i think the old enerprise just dos'nt fit with the was the show has evolved

  • Why dident JJ abrams us this enterprise i think everyone would have excepted this enerprise over that other one. that enterprise for the movie is so bad i think JJ should have asked the fans what they thought first before choosing a new design but i do have to say he did do a good job on the inside of the ship dont get me wrong i love the classic enterprise but the inside seemed abit to plastic and fake.

  • lol cuz the timeline of his film is set in a alternative timeline way before TOS ever existed in other words this i belive was set back to the first federation so everything has to go according to how JJ planned it BUT ive actualy been thinkin l8tly why not include this Enteprise in one of the biggest fan made films titled TOS meets TMP meets TNG , also with JJs ship and the planet killer in it now hows THAT for a fan made film based off the original movie huh?

  • Looks sorta like a mix between Constitution- and Ambassador-class...

  • I like it... It's an overdetailed "Constitution", but still a "Constitution". I would have loved to see this in the new movie

  • The phaser sequence is flat out awsome!

Ship looks weird but still recognizable.

  • i dont know about the phaser fire, to me it just seems like its pissing. I actually like this ship model much better than the new unveiled one in the trailer. strip down the detail on this then I'll dance peanut butter jelly time

  • I like this. It looks like it has some mass to it, and the phasers actually sound like they have some real Oomph to them. :) Is this being used for some kind of webisode series? It should be used for something.

  • This is NOT the "New" Enterprise from the upcoming film. This is a CGI reimagining of the proposed redesign from the failed Star Trek: Phase Two TV show from the 70's. Nor is this a "spoiler" in any way shape or form.

  • Its better then the thing they picked.

  • Great video. This is what the new exterprise should look like no the that dumb ship. Like the weapons too.

  • It's different. Ok. That aside, that is one beautiful ship. Anyone know how much CG they used and how much of it is models?

  • Here we Go Again Just Like Enterprise There Re Writing Gene Roddenberys Vision Of The Future Yes This ship Looks Good But Its Not Real Startrek and in my view it never will be

  • Amen Bro'. I HATE this trend of re0imagining every classic show out there to draw a few dimes. Let's preserve classic shows and their vision and not ruin them with "edgier" remakes with "attitude".

  • I really love this model. But I am stuck on one thing, are those pulse phasers? Or is it just essentially just the "fire button" being pressed and released? The pulses did no seem to match up but I am leaning more towards the latter.

I am amazed at how well this model perserved the Constitution class yet make it look so much better, something that look like it would fit in rather then be out of place beside a Galaxy, or Akira.

I just hate the movie's Enterprise's bussard collector so much.

  • Gabriel C.Koerner's Enterprise is fucking sick! Love this video, his vision is far superior to the new one in the movie and, as much as I love it, better than the original. This looks like something a military would build, the new one in the movie looks like something a car company would make.

  • The casual viewers dount care about if its the same or not but a lot of hardcore fans do, You do not take an iconic and established ship like the Constitution class Enterprise and "reinvision" it. Has paramount learned nothing from Star Trek: Enterprise?, canceled after 3 seasons, Prequels in star trek dount work because they are unwilling to do it right, its all about how flashy they can make it look without reguard to continuity which to most trek fans is very important.

  • well the perspective back then was based on the technologies of the 60s it is how the producers predict what will the technology will be in the 23rd century & honestly most of those technologies r now available in d 21st century like d cellphone so the producers r basing d technology of the 23rd century on the technology we have today remember dat khan was a product of a genetics war in the late 90s? so they need to change that timeline in voyager when janeway was accidentally sent back in 1996

  • maybe were starting star trek all over again for a new prospective

  • If the orignial series had a bigger production budget then the ship will look similar to this, the uniform will be miles better and similar to the XI, cheer up die hard trekkies! it does look better!!!! if you dont like the upgrade then there is something wrong with your mind!!

  • Its your kind of thinking that led to the train wreck we called, "Enterprise". Which didn't start picking up viewership until season 4 when they handed it over to some book writers who knew 'trek and respected her. This movie will flop, and more likely then not aliveandbleedin, there is something wrong with your mind.

  • yeah! enterpise pretty much sucked. Cast was full of morons!

  • You know what I rather see this Enterprise In the new movie then The ship that will be in the movie

  • But the new ship is just so cool.

Its close enough to the original model so satisfy hardcore fans (I count myself among them) but with more surface detail than they could manage on the limited budget of TOS.

The same goes for the 'new' uniforms and sets, they're close to the originals but upgraded to account for modern tastes and a larger production budget. As long as the script sticks to established canon I think it'll be a great film.

  • Wow, it should be shown with the poor box office of the last few movies and the failure of "Enterprise" to last very long that Paramount has recognized that the "die hard" fans aren't enough to make this new movie work.

HardCore Trekkies will piss moan and bitch that the ship is different and the uniforms aren't identical to what they did in the 1960's and then they'll see it twice. The people they want to attract are people that are only kind of interested...

  • As a hardcore trekkie I've got some words for you- don't bet on it, I probably won't even go to the theater for it, and I'll simply wait for an aXXo copy. If you want to be honest with yourself and ask, "Why is trek here?" you only have to look to Berman and Braga's inability to follow trek cannon, and there uncanny knack for shitting in bags and writing 'star trek' on it and then thinking the words make it golden. This movie well be no different. the JJprise will go down in flames.

  • jezz polarpawn..... its just a new film....

the new star trek is the 21st century view on the classic star trek.

i respect your views that it may ruin the genre but hadn't the genre already got ruined due to the fact that star trek has been on too long and the viewers starts to decline. hence why the new film was created, its to bring back the same feeling that the people felt when TOS came out...

if i were you polarpawn, i would give it a chance, watch it and share your opinions afterward.

  • your probably right, but when they can't even follow the classic lines of NCC-1701 and have to come up with a basically NEW ship, my faith in what the rest of the movie will be like is pretty shaky. I think this pill would have been easier to swallow had Enterprise hadn't been so wishy washy. And why the hell would a young Kirk run a perfectly good '56 vet of a cliff anyway? Perhaps I'm wrong but I can't help but wonder if that's what JJ's going to do to Star Trek here.

  • ahh polarpawn..... u remind me of sheldon from "the big band theory" lol

if u dont understand what i mean, google it

  • I don't entirely agree. Berman has been personally responsible for some of the best TNG episodes of all time ("Relics", "The Best of Both Worlds", ect.) Braga....well, he sucks dick.

  • Well I don't know so much about Berman...He did bring us quite a few good eps in TNG that fans loved, ie, The Best of Both Worlds, to name one.
