ive actually spent a ''full'' day working with one of these!! myarms feel like lead and my ears are still ringing!lol ps dos anyone know where id get a new muffler?
Hi guys. I inherited one of these saws and i got the motor rebuilt. I'm just wondering about the whole manual oiler button. When do you use it?? Do you have to keep using it while cutting through wood??? Cheers.
sharpening with the file is the best, the machine takes out the temper out of the cutter/chipper, to much friction, caused by the grinding wheel,ur friend should give a few tips, of sharpening a chain, good vid,
@donyboy73 WELL he,s taken the first step, uve got to get him on again, sharpening the cutter on the chain, again top marks on presentation, that saw is in mint condition, very good video,
@donyboy well feck that, that why,s he is shy, me old country man, or comrade, as they say in russia, LOL UVE GOT TO GET HIM TO SHARPEN THE CUTTER, THE IRISH WAY,
0:54 "A weight of 12 kg" .... LOL that must have been the lightest model on the market at that time hehe! Wonder how old the loggers would become wielding stuff that heavy.. Also, to bad modern saws don't feature a manual oiler button.. sometimes I need extra oil when chainsaw carving. Love the idle sound!
Nice chainsaw wish I had the money to fix up my 2 old Stilhs I think they are from 1961 or 62 . The saws both need new bars and replacement carbs . The previous owner had left them in a old barn that leaked rain on them for over 20 years . I bought them for 10 bucks each at a auction where he was selling out his farm stuff . I also got a 1965 homlite that I cant find parts for so far it just needs a carb kit the bar and chain was rusty but salvageable. I love those old saws they work better.

gdrahcir 9 months ago
@gdrahcir give it a couple shots through ech cut, that should be enough oil. these saws do not automatically oil them selves
donyboy73 9 months ago
So what did this saw use for an air filter? I didn't see one when you took the cover off.

@donyboy73 No I didn't, I was talking about your saw, I have no use for a chainsaw, we have an axe, and we hardly even use that.
