I'm crazy? . I was riding a train in San Diego earlier this year. I observed a middle aged tourist white couple standing, as the car was packed. The train moved forward and the male 1/2 stumbled, accidentally stepping on the shoe of a big black gangbanger dressed in red. As for this shooting I don't think it was race related 'cause after the cop shot him the cop put his hands on his head like " holy crap what the F#%$ did I just do?!" I think the cop was inexperienced and made a mistake which he must pay for.

The things those fuckers did to Reginald Denhey was wrong and they deserve to die. Your comment still doesn't justify the killing of an unarmed man who was complying with the cop's command; it doesn't matter if the guy was white, latino, or black. The police are suppose to be enforcers and ambassadors of justice. Fortunately, most police officers are good cops.

Thank you for posting this. My appreciation goes out to Ms. Vargas for the video taping of this horrific crime which took the life of Oscar Grant. I have two items for readers to think about. 1 Will it be revealed why the female officer asked Ms. Vargas to hand over her camera prior to getting back on the bart train. 2 Why hasn't the other officer who had his knee on the victim's neck been named?

I am a middle-aged black man and I am not prejudice my wife is white but all my life I have seen white police officers murder black male suspects and get a vacation and a promotion. We have marched in the streets in protect we have prayed until there was nothing else to say we have even played a friendly game of basketball with the police but still we are murdered in the streets of America. i don't think the use of force (tazer or gun) was warranted but i understand where the cop might be coming from...subdued individual struggling with police, not allowing to cuff him, inexperienced officer, adrenaline/confusion, people yelling, confusion, grabs weapon from side, feels like tazer, pulls trigger and shoots the man
