  • no as you can see a lot of research has went in to the making of this replica the arm rests are darker than they look in the video....dark walnut! and yes being the 21st century led's are involved not old style light bulbs! ; )

  • I had originally thought the wood looked wrong.. in all of the old series i had seen the arms looked much darker on television.. but when i went looking online i was able to verify the wood arms from the original set prop built at Desilu studios in 1964 (yes 2 years before TOS aired). I hope that your seat is more updated inside than the original prop was. It had ceramic light sockets with foil wrapping to protect the plywood sides, it had thick cord inside and 25watt bulbs. lol
