  • That Kid is Very Very intelligent :D

  • Are they both deaf? or is ava only deaf?

  • Four minutes and eight seconds of pure happiness.

Ava, you are a beautiful little ambassador for deaf children everywhere, I hope you continue to being pleasure, hope and more than a little inspiration for the rest of us.

  • This is just amazing! It is so important for children to learn to sign as young as possible, so they are able to communicate, and it is good for people to learn to sign, even if it is a few words, so at least they can greet a deaf person.

  • this is so beautiful! :')

  • Smart child indeed.

  • This is phenomenal. Wow.

  • This is amazing! She is so smart and I really love the way mom talks to her. It's so sweet.

  • Brilliant! :)

  • wow in a short period of time she can do sign language? amazing. When i was two I can not barely talk. WOW! i guess if you miss some of your senses a part of you excel.

  • @GeoM56 It means stroller in England :)

  • @ThePlixal Well, sign language is like any other language. Why don't people speak the same language in Canada as they do in Pakistan? (this is using an example relevant to me lol). The answer is simple. Their culture evolved differently, and thus there is the difference in language. Since all Deaf people were not born in one country, etc. their languages vary from region to region.

  • Oh my god, who are these 138 people who disliked this??

  • i was able to get one of my sister twin boys to wave hi back to me after 3 months. they are hearing . I am Deaf. They both "spoke" their first words to me not their mom/dad. ME!!!!!! Quite an incredible video and over a million views . Keep on showing ava the world is an amazing place

  • aww she isss sooo smarttt!!!

  • Very sweet!

  • I've never seen a child that young do sign language. Pretty amazing watching her and her mom interact like this.

  • Is amazing, so cool :) I hope that the NDCS campaign leaps forward because I do believe that the petition should be approved. There are SO much help Deaf people may need that they do not get.

  • She's amazing! and so is The Mummy! I've worked with lots of parents who just can't be bothered to learn it for their children!! Good Job!! You should be proud of yourself, you're an excellent example to other parents of the deaf!! :-D

  • Wow great

  • This girl is smarter than most adults. God bless her.

  • amazing to watch,, thank you for sharing that with us

  • Maravilloso!

  • It's so amazing how rapidly children pick up language.

I saw this video elsewhere and went nuts trying to figure out the specific sign language! Probably should have just clicked where it said "original video" in the description. Derp. Anyway, I'm curious about BSL, it's nice to see an example of it, and an adorable example at that!

  • You are a great teacher! And I though I was really doing something when I started teaching my daughter when she turned 1! I only taught her her ABC's , a few words and a couple of phrases! LOL. Ask Ava if she's busy next week, I need a tutor, LOL. I pay .50¢ on the hour. God bless mommie and baby :)

  • She's such a beautiful baby! It's weird and wonderful at the same time how much a child's young mind can hold so much information and adventure.. I smiled the entire time:) Happy (late) birthday Ava! :)

  • Simply amazing

  • This is so beautiful.

  • How does sign language work?

  • Oh, she is so cute and so smart! :)

  • @castform67 Lol, idiot. BSL is much harder, and you're obviously a asshole.

  • Had she had the chance to sign.makes me wonder?

  • Wow I wonder how much my hearing daughter would have said to me about her 2 year old party.

  • @LeMonS531 No, the baby is deaf. This is why we read the description, and as you can see, sign language can be adapted so children can understand. The mom and child are deaf.

  • This was beautiful to see. Your daughter is magnificent and it moved me to tears at how well she knows sign language at just 2 years old! She's a very bright baby and I hope more videos of her ever growing knowledge of sign language is posted in the future.

    Good luck on your cause!!

  • Aww!! Ava is so cute. Great job mom!!

  • Why not just 2 years old?

  • AAAWWWWW so cute :) <3

  • :)

  • This is so cute :) I want to learn how to sign.... :p

  • There is no excuses to communicate with our children. This is a beautiful moment. Thanks for sharing.

  • Amazing what the human can do. No matter what age. Splendid. I wish that no child in this world had to pass through any problems. But life sometimes through some curves at us. Thanks for the video. We must never forget the blessing that we have. God bless and enjoy life ☀

  • Awwww.. I love it!! :)) this is amazing

  • Wow that is a smart kid and it was very interesting :)

  • You have a very beautiful, intelligent daughter. She must be an angel! Congrats! :)

  • Soo cute:)

  • 121 dislike? I cant belive that

  • Why would 121 people 'dislike' this video?

By the way those continuing to attack castform67's earlier statement please not that they have retracted it.

  • Lovely!

  • Oh come on, how do we know the kid isn't just waving his hands around.

  • Omg this was awesome... We have a daughter who is 6 years old born with bilateral hearing loss. She wears hearing aides. She has a fifty fifty chance of going deaf. I am trying to find somewhere or someone that could teach her and my family sign language that's not gonna cost us a fortune. I am trying to get us ahead because we don't know when or if she will loose her hearing. Every year her hearing does diminish, n she can't always hear without her aides in especially if she isn't in front of

  • Super sweet!

  • I need to lean this

  • Really smart kid !! -3

  • Really smart kid !! -3

  • Cuteness!!

  • Wow (: amazing..-3

  • the whole world stopped when i saw this, just beautiful

  • *crying* that is AMAZZING!!;)

  • shes realy smart

  • 120 people are heartless

  • Such a beautiful little girl and so smart. I wish I could sign the petition but I'm a us citizen. God bless your family.

  • It was a very touching video n i'm truly respect both parents .they able to teach Ava sign language..really hope, can meet her oneday.for 120 ppl,who dislike this video, should be grateful you are not deaf..

  • I can't get enough of little Ava! When ever I see people using sign language, I tend to stare. I'm not staring because of their disability, but because I'm fascinated with their ability. They are no different from me. It's true, they can't hear. However, I can't sign. And signing takes much more skill than hearing does. Ava, you and your family are an inspiration! God bless you all!

  • Really amazing!

  • Thats so cool!

  • Never commented before but had to on this one- I am a trained teacher of the deaf with a masters degree, specializing in early childhood and language development. For starters sign is actually not harder than speech, speech is way more complicated of a motor task. Infants can sign half a dozen words 6 months before they're able to do anything other than babble. (Doesn't make this video any less amazing, just FYI) Second, no- she obviously doesn't KNOW all the signs yet, she's only a toddler of

  • Wow.

  • I am in tears watching this most beauties

  • That kid's probably more fluent than I am...

  • Wow lolr

  • you two are amazing I loved it

  • gosh im sheltered... this is amazing to watch!

  • Fascinating

  • Wow some smart kid !

  • Its amazing.

  • Castform67 Sign is harder that talk stupid castform67 there 2 my friends kids can tallk and there one u were late

  • @castform67 you're a jerk. You have no clue about language do you? Would it be any different if it was Spanish? I have a feeling the baby can hear, but the mom is deaf. The baby is copying her mouth noises. I have never seen this in a deaf child. Either way she is so cute. The sign is interesting, alot different from American SL.

  • All the cuteness without the annoying chipmunk voice. Awe.

  • That's not the point, cast. Don't b so shallow

  • That's so beautiful!

  • This is fake the kid has no clue what shes sayin it takes longer to learn all sign language

  • @castform67, you are a moron. Ava is so sweet, thanks for posting this video!

  • Maybe your kid can right now but later in life he cant and you will look at him with hands and not a voice that he can hear at this time.

  • My daughter is 2.5 right now and we have wordy conversations like this all the time! She is not hearing impaired but we had a few sign language interactions with baby signs when she was younger and I still try to keep her remembering the things she learned. Her daycare continues to teach signs a few a month, so I'm guessing she now knows more than I do. We used "baby signing time" and "baby einstein baby signs". Learned something new Pram = Stroller!

  • Didn't realize was deaf. I retract my original statement.

  • So the kid can sign, so what?! My kids can talk and they're 2.

  • @castform67 She's a deaf child

  • @castform67 the little girl is deaf and your kids aren't

  • @castform67

Thank your lucky stars your kids can speak ! They have my sympathy though, with a peanut brained father like you. Every ones karma clock is ticking ! Yours just a wee bit faster then most..

  • @castform67 Maybe you should read the description next time before being a wise ass. They're just demonstrating how being deaf does not have to hamper a kid's development, as long as the parents know sign language.

  • @castform67 you've obviously not understood the point of this video and obviously do not care as much as others about the development of human language to support issues such as deafness which suggests that you are of a low intelligence and a careless nature.

  • @castform67 You shouldn't breed.
