The critical moment in WWII was that britain prevented Germany from an invasion. If the Sovietunion would have been beaten the war would have ended in 1945/46 when the neclear weapon designed to attack Berlin should have turned Europe inte ashes. But the US and Britain should have won on their own.... Russia fought heroicaly but still without the help from the US Germany would have beaten Russia and forced britain to peace...

actually there was a big gap between france falling and the russian war, the germans knew that if they invaded the isle they would be crushed so didnt do it, its common knowladge that a wargame was conducted at sandhurst with the commanders who would have defended or attacked (brit and germans) and both agreed it would have been a costly invasion for both sides but the royal navy would intercept the landings before tanks made it to shore thus giving the defending "lines" advantage.

I they they never needed the invasion of Normandy to win the war but during their push to Berlin, the Soviets raped and murdered hundreds of thousands of German and Polish civilians. There was a documented case where a Soviet officer was raping three polish woman when a vigilante shot the officer. In return, the Soviets murdered 1000 civilians.

Actually the percentage of slaves killed was very small compared to slaves owned. Anyway everybody knows that slavery was wrong that's why we had the Civil War. Also the American army hasn't killed "millions" of Iraqi civilians (it was Saddam Hussein and the Taliban that are doing that dumb ass)

You russkies have to accept the fact that the red army was basically given cart blanche in eastern germany for some time and a shite load of raping occured (2-3 million raped). Initially officers turned a blind eye to rape but later it was feared that the ussr would appear as the aggressor and as a result the red army began disciplining its soldiers for rape.

The critical moment in WWII was that britain prevented Germany from an invasion. If the Sovietunion would have been beaten the war would have ended in 1945/46 when the neclear weapon designed to attack Berlin should have turned Europe inte ashes. But the US and Britain should have won on their own.... Russia fought heroicaly but still without the help from the US Germany would have beaten Russia and forced britain to peace...

You see WWII can be categoriezied inte to four war zones.
1. Eastern front - where russia won after an enourmous effort
2. The war at sea where brittain and the US neutrilized the submarine threat.
3. The bombing offensive which terrorized the german public and reduced german industry
4. Operation Overlord where germanys faith were sealed.

actually there was a big gap between france falling and the russian war, the germans knew that if they invaded the isle they would be crushed so didnt do it, its common knowladge that a wargame was conducted at sandhurst with the commanders who would have defended or attacked (brit and germans) and both agreed it would have been a costly invasion for both sides but the royal navy would intercept the landings before tanks made it to shore thus giving the defending "lines" advantage.

@KeyManDan My friend. Operation Barbarossa was launched in 1941. france fell in 1940. operation Sealion was cancelled before operation Barbarossa. It's probably true that the german army would have crushed the british army in 1940 if they had carried out operation sealinon. Well until they would have run out of fuel.. You see the landing part is not the tricky question. Supporting your troops with fuel and ammo is. There is simply no chance that the german fleet would have been able to do this.

I've never been a fan of the Soviet's during WWII. I they they never needed the invasion of Normandy to win the war but during their push to Berlin, the Soviets raped and murdered hundreds of thousands of German and Polish civilians. There was a documented case where a Soviet officer was raping three polish woman when a vigilante shot the officer. In return, the Soviets murdered 1000 civilians.

Soviets would have done it by themselves, might just take them a bit longer (say, anodher year max).
Just consider the fact that on the Western, Italian and African theatres combined, Germany suffered not more than 20% of their total war losses. The majority of their forces were sent against - and destroyed by - the Soviets.
