What a SHITY movie! I hate the novel, and I hate even more the movie. It is so hugely BORING and stupid. Horrible movie, if I wanted to see birds flying, I would have watched Animal Planet. Worst movie ever!

I watched this...which is why I toss stuff out to the "gulls" on the Lake of the Ozarks in late October...one of them may be watching me...damn, Johnathan, I really did believe...I just wasn't man enough. Let "her" know, it was my fault. I will never forget...it was my fault. I loved you more than life itself, CJ. I just wasn't man enough.
I saw this back in 1973 when it first came out. Unfortunately, I saw it with my family at a drive-in, and the full moon was shining on the screen so we couldn't see much. Thanks so much for uploading! The photography is stunning and the story is timeless.
im 13 and this is a requirement-to-read novel in my school, and i have read everything but i honestly don't understand it... can anyone help me? :) thank you!
@Glexs30: It's about improving yourself to go beyond what's expected of you, to be better than you have ever been before, and to not let others stop you. The 'angel' gulls who visit Jonathan to encourage him have all been where he is, and know that the more he 'evolves', the more his life will be worthwhile.
