there's roots of VoiVod and older pre-grindcore styles, but mostly this song is Bad Brains/Naked Raygun kinda mashup. I like it. It's good and the other tracks are decent too. Still, I don't think everyone should get all worried about how it fits. It's good in its own way. That's what I think
Cradle of Filth's early work was Death Metal but they are a symphonic black metal band, and Ryan Adams is great, even though I don't think he can top his album Heartbreaker

He's actually passing this off as his "metal" album? This is pretty much progrock with some punk influences. It's good, but not the advertised genre.
