In 1968, I was trained at Fort Gordon as a Field Radio Relay and Carrier Equipment Repair Specialist (MOS 31L20)
Back then, it was called the United States Army Southeastern Signal School (SESS).
The other two signal schools were at Fort Monmouth, New Jersey and Fort Huachuca, Arizona, which was also headquarters for the Strategic Communications Command (STRATCOM).
Hey Guy's very well. Good to see you enjoying. Anybody among you know, Maj. Roberts? His name is Maj. Roberts. I don't know what his current rank is, but i am curious to say few words to him. Thanks!
25Uniform- What is a typical day like in this MOS? Where am I most likely to be deployed? Will I actually carry out the MOS description or will I do something else? Is there a certain unit I will be attached to? Will I stay on base or mainly do patrols?
Can anyone tell me what my father did in the signal corp? He was in 1942/46. Marine corp. I just recieved his records and they say he fought on bouganville, guam and iwo jima. The records however don't say what he did. They do say he trained at indian ocean washington before being shipped to the south pacific. He often spoke about the navajo code talker's and living in fox holes for 3 days , eating whatever crawled by. But again, i would like to know what he did on those islands.
Wow, I was @ ft. Gordon for a whole year through the strat side of 25S and then a little through the 1C. Oh boy, some of the most boring times in my life spent there. Went through A447 last year.
i will be at fort Gordon in about 12 weeks. i leave for boot in 2 weeks then i go to gordon to be a signal support supply specialist. How was your experience?
I rememebr back in the day when i was an e4 an dirt was cheap hahahah that gets me evrytime lol

Most likely used Communications equipment, flags, or was a SDS (runner)

The army has it's ups and downs, but all in all it's been good to me, and I feel that it's all been worth it. I also replied to your message.
