From what I've read when they did this on SNL Jagger kissed Tosh (just like he did Ronnie Wood) and I guess thats a huge insult where Tosh comes from. Enough of an insult it caused him problems and some members of his family disowned him. So he then gets all messed up on drugs, sinks to the bottom, takes a gun and goes hunting down Mick and Keith. He got dead. Keith never said how...he just didn't show up anymore.

Tosh "got dead" because three guys broke into his house in Jamaica looking for money and shot him in the head when they found none.
