i just got baptized 2 years ago, and im barely 16, but i know, with no doubt, that the book of mormon is true! its not another bible, because we use the bible too, its just another testament of jesus christ when he came to America. Ive been catholic before, and experienced the Christian religion, and without offending anybody, i havent feel what i felt at the mormon church. I am proud to be mormon! and if you call us weirdos, then i love being one!:)

We believe in the same church of Jesus Christ when he was on the earth, and that God sent Christ, his son, to be a living prophet on the earth, and to call 12 apostles. We believe that it is restored today. God has called a prophet today, Thomas S. Monson, and he has called 12 apostles as well. Sorry to burst your bubble "lividmachine", but we haven't changed anything. The Book of Mormon isn't a "Mormon Bible". We use both the Bible and the Book of Mormon to teach of Christ.

@ScienceReasonBelief - The amendment called for defining marriage as being between 1 man and 1 woman. Not as "banning gay marriage" as constantly run in the tabloids and regular news. And secondly, I said nothing about them saying things contrary to our religion; save every thing that they said with respects to the LDS church not being allowed under law to support elections that directly affect the church and its members, separation of Church and State constantly being badly defined, what else?

2:00 it says: "Instead of spending Sunday School talking about other churches..." I would add to that this: Mormons do an awful lot of quoting of partial scriptures but 1 Thessalonians 5:21 says; Test all things and hold fast to which is good... your mormon church AND their beliefs even with all the changes you made to your prophet's teachings and your bible still has epically failed that test.

@lividmachine I would add to that that Christians are supposed to "test all things" even within our own churches. We are to test ALL things: ALL doctrines, ALL denominations, ALL religions, ALL persons, ALL scriptures and ALL gods. If you are Mormon don't take it personally, we are supposed to be sure that the things we place our faith in hold up to scrutiny and that they are indeed the truth.

Question: if you never do the same, how can you be sure that what you believe in is true?

The last quote in this video is 100% true! Christ is central, His ministry, atonement, resurrection are all central to what we believe and make returning to God possible. Everything else is merely an appendage to it.

Well if you were taught something like in Sunday School then you should know with a perfect knowledge that it was that man or woman's opinion and not church doctrine. Even if he quoted a scripture or two, in the end it was an opinion at best.

This is not church doctrine.

It doesn't sound like a Sunday School Topic to me but if you say so, then perhaps you should confront your Sunday School teacher someday and point out the false doctrine.

What part of this promise to Abraham and those involved in that covenant would you want MORE access to? Is that just something that people simply have to say they are now a part of it or do they have to be adopted into that covenant with Israel? There is a way to do this. Are you seeking after it?
