It's supposed to be a busy junction in better times. Amtrak's Lakeshore Limited usually come through here, too, but they didn't due to track work that month.
What is the heritage of these two lines?

CSX line used to be Boston & Albany, and New England Central line used to be Central Vermont, is what I heard.
