I guess I'm the only one. It never scared me as a child. I was interested in the story and the strange and unique world of the movie. I hadn't seen anything like that before. I enjoyed it. Much better than many of the other childrens movies that I had seen.

Jim Henson made such wonderful movies.

It's a shame he died before he was even in his 50s (I believe it was in 1987 or 1988).

But his movies "The Dark Crystal" and "Labrynth" live again in manga form.

The first manga series is set over a thousand years before TDC movie, and the second manga series is a sequel that takes place about 15 years after the movie Labyrinth.

They're called "Jim Henson's Legends of the Dark Crystal" and "Jim Henson's Return to the Labyrinth".

WOW!!! Oakland, CA - Summer 1982, my dad took me, my sis and my two brother to see this at the Grand Lake Theater...it was 50cents back in those days for a summer show....we saw this and never forgot it...it's so weird how things from our childhood hold a deep impact..we used to be scared but LOVED this movie..."The Last Unicorn" was a classic then too
