Yes Tara Lynn Smith is from Texas. She is in Cameroon, Africa serving for the Peace Corps but will be in the Philippines next year for a few months. And there's a small tightly knit Filipino community where she is from. :) I'm proud to say that my dad and uncle are the guitarists, and my friend Isiak Holiday Jr., who also sings on this channel is on the keyboard. Thanks to all for watching our channel.
Just to let everyone know, Tara Lynn has posted a new video of her singing "Salamat" on her youtube channel from Cameroon, Africa. Please do a search under youtube: SALAMAT Practice Session for Richie
Under her channel: mlletarasmith
Just type that in and it should pop up. Remember, she learned the song on her own, so we haven't had a chance to fix the American accent...when she gets back to Texas, we'll work on getting rid of the accent para derecho ang tagalog niya. :)

Great performance. I know that for the next two years, while TL celebrates Christmas in her little African village, I will come back to this video and watch again and again, with tears of a mother's pride, then, as I do now, while I wish for her the happiest of the holidays. Mom
