  • Awesome! But u spelled videos vidoes

  • DOES THIS WORK FOR PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 10?

  • Wow, thanks.

  • Thanks mate!

One question I do have - how can you smooth the animation so it doesn't go jerkily from one frame to the next?

  • Thanks man!

  • this is THE BEST tutorial ever!

  • Thanks very much :) very clear video and very understandable :) works on elements 9

  • Everytime i press animate it says that i need to re-size my frames or delete some. I deleted frames untill i had 4 left. But its still wouldnt let me, how do i do this?

  • Am i able to delay one then delay the others at a different time

  • haha Vidoes

  • I can't change 'Delay'

Do you know why? Or how I can fix it? ;3

  • @Patriciaa1122 This can not be done.

  • Thanks for the info. I've been wondering if it's possible. Sounds like you call it a "Gift" Is it "Gift" or Gif?

  • @kmorrocco it's supposed to be GIF

  • how could you put in a background behind it without it disappearing and appearing, and just acting as a background?

  • Holy crap.... this worked... many thank... btw.. can you say subscribed :D,

Looking forward to your other tutorials.

  • @Valdric1000 Thanks for subscribing. Please check out my Justin TV shows on Sunday Mornings 10:00 AM EST.

  • Is there a reason why I can't change the delay when I do it? I click on the triangle but nothing happens.

  • @JennSaidSo It's same for me! What's the reason? :s

  • i gotta question 4 u if i wanna make an animated pic but of like a dog or cat running how would i do that without ruining the black line since i would need 2 color it in?

  • that you that helped me a lot :)

  • just wanted to let you know, that I'm featuring your video through a link on my DeviantART, my user name there is the same as here. NepinRith.

*i would think you could do the animation with a solid background. i would asume just with the same steps, since it is showing each picture one at a time. but this is only a hopeful guess*

  • For some odd reason, the whole "Save For Web" thing, doesn't work for me, and I must say, this is an excellent tutorial.

    ^ ^

  • @PockyPuppetMaster Make sure you are saving as a GIF image. And thanks for the comments.

  • @PockyPuppetMaster agree!

  • Hi Jack... I'm wondering how I'd go about creating an animated GIF but using a solid colored background rather than transparent. :) I've 1. Created a new file with a filled background 2. CTRL-J the layer...but when I 3. Enter text, it isn't solid background, but transparent.. I know I"ve seen animated GIFs that are solid-colored so I know it can be done. Any help is appreciated. :) Thanks!

  • @tedology You can not use a solid color because the gif image will not animate after that. It really works as an illusion with one image being hidden and then showing another one.

  • @42technoman Hi Jack and thanks so much for taking the time to answer. :) I searched and searched and discovered a way to do it (if you're interested) - What I did was create a solid color background. Then I created some text as its own layer. I then CTRL-J the solid background, then I CTRL-J the text (so now I have two of each). I then held CTRL and clicked on a text layer and a color background layer, selecting both layers. I then right-clicked on the color background layer and chose

  • @tedology "merge layers". This created ONE layer from a text layer and a color background layer. I did the same with all the layers I wanted. I then followed the rest of your tutorial with those NEW layers and it worked. :)

    Thanks again! :)

  • @tedology if you are posting to a website, you can change the background color via html or css.

  • you spelt videos wrong. 9:26

  • You are very welcome and I am glad you enjoyed it.

  • Jack can you do a animated picture for a Avatar?

  • I would say no. But I have not tried it.

  • Dude you spelt video's wrong. Sorry, I pick up those things, annoying habit. But otherwise, great vid, helped a lot.

  • I did that to see how many people catch it. Great work and you are really watching closely.

  • 42technoman lil help...

why is there no animation option in my photoshop CS3....

    10:28

when i click file> save for web devices> then there is no animjation option??? why???

im using photoshop CS3 windows xp...

  • I am sorry I don't use CS products so I would not know.

  • question. is there a way that you can make the text come in from the side, without having to do it frame by frame?

like on the professional banner makers going for $100 there's transition effects. is there a package i can get that will help me with this?

  • Thanks u helped alot :D

  • for the size what measurement do u use.Example inches, pixels etc.

  • Ay you're really good. Appreciate the videos. I will be buying the dvd to have on file.

  • thanks for the good tutorial.

  • is there anyway you can put little transitions between the images..like for instance...i have 2 pictures that i animated, they were both on their own layers but when i animate them...they just switch from one picture to the other...i was hoping i could put a cool transition when one of the pictures switch to the other..

is there any way i can do that?

  • I understand that you maybe making this for your web site. There is no way to create the effect you are looking for.

    Jack

  • aaww :( that's ok i guess i'll just stick to what i usually do for the transitions...but the video was still very helpful otherwise :)

    thanks

  • omg ur videos are sooo sooooo helpful....i wana find the video where u downloaded fonts ...i need fonts!!

  • I found the misspelled word, it was a typo, give me a break! Sorry everyone.

    Jack

  • Hi, no problem, the important part is the lesson itself. Thanks again for teaching this new skill.

  • I know that was a typo! It happens to the best of us.

  • Wonderful ! Thanks! ( Please spell video correctly, you had " vidoe".) Otherwise, I enjoyed it very much.

  • I can;t find the misspelled word anywhere? Can you point it out and thanks.

  • Thank you, never even thought about creating GIF's in Photoshop Elements. Excellent, thanks for sharing!

  • Jack, your video tutorials are always very informative!

Question for you: When you were moving the "JACKS" and "CORNER" layers... do you know of any way to "slide" them on a horizontal? So if I wanted all the words on the same axis, is there a way to make them that way? When I use the move tool, I tend to not always keep the items on the same line (if that makes sense).

    Thanks much!

    Ted

  • I have a question. Is it possible to make animated emoticons with Elements 6? I`d love to try making some of those.

  • it is possible to do that.

you just have to draw each frame of the emoticon

for example, to make it blink you have 1 frame eyes open, one with the eyes closed, and then run it on a loop. you can time it differently so they're blinking really fast, or blinking every five seconds.

    GOOD LUCK!

  • Thanks for the reply! I`m going to try making some! XD

  • That`s pretty cool! I`m gonna try it! XD

  • Nice vid jack:D That was much easier than I thougt..

I just wont to tell that when you have prewied it yo can right click on the picture and click on wiew picture. Than you have it as you did on the end. You can also right click and select "save picture"

    Anyway, very nice video Jack

  • Sweet, I like how you've started making more tutorials for the more casual editors. Thanks for the upload man.

  • Sweet i always wanted to do this!
