quite fun, but it would need some tweaking to call it trebuchet. i made smaller one of paperclips + weight around 1/4 of that battery and it had 3.5 - 4 meters range

not really a trebuchet. but its even better because ive never seen anything like it before. and fling premature babies, they might work.

No, babies are entirely too heavy. You would need a much bigger trebuchet.
