i passed mine 7th time. got 47/50 and exactly 44/75.

to all the arrogent pig heads on here, it is not that easy and people who fail it are not simply thick and it does not mean that they are blind or sinile!!

there are 50 questions and 75points to get. so odds are you will fail a few times, because you cant notice every little thing. but yes, some are lucky to pass 1st time. i wasnt far from passing the 1st 6 times. i was always pretty close. then i finally did it in the end.

I passed my theory test on tuesday, I used the dvd from the dsa to practice with, I also read the highway code from front to back about 20 times, I studied for about 2 hours a day for 12 days and managed to score 50/50 and 62/75, I am so happy that my hard work payed off. Just have to do the practical now!!

This was shit easy. People who are worrying about the Hazard Perception, dont! All you do is click when you think something is a hazard (I recommend clicking when you first see it, but see it quickly.. Then click it a further 2 times just to make sure). Just be wary of cars coming out of roads and cyclist etc.. It really is easy.

Iv'e booked mine today, I've been practicing with the Drivng Test Sucess DVD ROM Software and I have passed both parts of the exam the last 4 times i have taken a mock exam. TBH I'n most cases if you think and study each question carefuly you shouldn't really have any problems with the test. Most of it is common sense but you still need to be aware of your road signs and rules of the road aswell as what you should do if you were to arrive at the scene of a road accident.

i passed i got 49 of 50 on questions and 60 of 75 on hazard to just get the cd to do your practice and there also website that give you free mock exams just take your time on the exam and re read the questions and for hazard have a sharp eye and focus.

nervous people - DON'T worry. take your time on the multiple choice but be alert for the hazard perception part.. look 'ahead' as well as infront of you. the earlier you spot (and click for) the hazard, the better. all thanks to God and The 'Official DSA Theory Test for Car Drivers', it contains 2 CD's, a multiple choice one and a hazard perception one. I passed 1st time, by revising for 2 weeks. Most of the revision was for multiple choice

@SP3NDL0V3 yeah i did, i started on the 29th of June (my first mock test) and then carried on practising doing a couple everyday, up to the night before the test. the multiple choice cd that i mentioned is great, it has a record of your performance and you can analyse it, i did the test about 28 times and when i got about 7/8 passes in a row, i booked myself in for the test! good luck :D:D

this video is giving the wrong informatiion. There is no cursor on the screen when you are doing the hazard perception test, you just have to click without moving the mouse. You do not get a seperate certificate, your results are printed on (normally) one piece of paper

I passed my practical first time on Thursday :). Amazing feeling, tips, don't worry about it, stay calm and remember what you've done in your lessons, and make sure you REALLY are ready, don't go chucking away £62. Better to wait and practice than take the test and fail. Happy driving :)

@wazztie16 you shouldnt be paying £62 for your theory test, if you book online at the official dsa.gov website the charge isonly £31.00 you are getting ripped off by a booking company if you pay any more than that, they are the first hits when u google driving theory test and people are being duped into paying more than they need.

@craig6944 Thats gutting mate, i feel for you. Definetly ge the DVD, the best things to buy are the PC DVD Driving Test, it's about a tenner, prob less in Asda, and a copy of the Highway Code. The code was my main thing, bought the thin(ish) blue book for a few quid from my local paper shop, defo worth the buy, i take it with me whenever i'm cycling in case something happens. Good luck for next time :) (Got my practical test start of June :))

I tried not to click more than 6 times and I only 2 or 3 times per hazard. I clicked as soon as I saw a hazard and when it developed (IE, I'd click when I saw a car reversing from a driveway, then click again when it starts to cross the pavement or go into the road).

I passed today after lots of studying with the "Driving Test Success" CD and I passed first time. It's much easier to learn using that software than reading books.

Nope, once you complete the 50 questions part, you can go straight onto the HPT, and in total it took about 25-30 mins to finish the full test

Experience is the key I bought an old Driving CD from ebay but it was just as good. I wasn't thrown by anything and I've seen most of the questions before.

I had mine this morning, and thanks to the Driving Test Success DVD, I got 46 of 50 questions and 61 out of 75 for the Hazard Perception part.

Studied nearly everyday doing 1 to 2 mocks a day and learning my road signs as well everyday.

Highly recommended indeed.
