It's a nice looking car and very affordable. Took one for a test drive today though and I think I might spend my money else where though. It's very comfortable and handles well but it's hard to imagine a car that would handle badly when being challenged by such an under-powered engine. It seems to struggle on Highways and don't even bother trying to red-line the RPMs cos it doesn't work lol

it's called HIBISCUS TEAL, but am not sure proton still produce that color or not. when i bought mine last year (yg terpakse change to hitam) they all said the paint got problem so they hold the production for a while. u can try ask first =)

Even for Mercs and BMW, or even Honda or Toyota, still got problems but no one will shout the bad stuff.. only the good stuff come out from people's mouth.. So, you dah juai ke GEN2 you? Ke dah dpt City baru? Sebenarnya, City pun tak berapa stabil bile dia mula2 kuar pasaran.. tapi lepas pihak media bagi input, terus HM tukar dan fine tune keta City..

the new Gen-2 is an excellent car when considering it's price, just drive it for a day and you'll love it, very sleek, comfortable, and lots of technology. But if you compare it to other more expensive models when it comes to power, Proton takes a bad hit.

sya beli proton gen2 dari 2005,ada saja masaalah, masalah pertama plastik cover gear box tercabut bulan pertama sya pakai,2,guna 1 tahun 9bulan,cermin belakang jam kedua duanya terpaksa sumbat dgn kertas supaya tak jatuh, sekarang ni bungbung cerpet belakang dekat break lampu terbuka,

I rasa u kokien nasib x baiklah, serupa adik ipar I beli premium Fiat Maria 1.8 2003, 5 bln pakai air con-problem, after that tunggu spare part dari Itali dtg 5 bulan. WTF! 5 bulan driving like in hell!! Panas mcm dlm neraka!!....

I punya Gen2(MT) Metro Gray, Okt 2005 until now OK. No problem, even alignment pun x lari. Dah pergi KL 15 kali, Terengganu 3 kali Kedah 5 kali, OK. Summore minyak isi full tank bawa 110-130 kph dari Skudai ke KL-Jalan TAR, Ampang-Damansara-Ampang - Kulai baru isi minyak semula.

I'm a Perodua supporter,but i think Proton's CPS engine impressive in terms of hp per litre and the fact that it's developed with the help of Lotus.However i can't help to think that Proton's moving too slow in terms of RnD.Hopefully Proton won't be overexcited by the current success of the CPS engine and choose not to continue developing more effiecient engine.Also i wanna see how CPS fares on emmission test..

Aku drive 1.6 M.Trans,so far so good.Kalau Engine oil baru boleh pecut hingga 200km/hrs,itu paling top,dengan satu passenger.Anyway it's a good car.

rockkyman..ini kerana, perodua bukan pembuat kereta.. diaorg cuma pemasang kereta kerana perodua dimililki sepenuhnya oleh toyota motors cooperate with daihatsu... kalau kita beli keta perodua, kita menguntungkan org luar mcm jepun... kalau beli proton, kita support barangan buatan malaysia dan duit kita tak mengalir keluar.... apa nak takut sekarang ni, CEo baru amat menitikberatkan kualiti setiap kereta baru proton.. enjin pun dah upgrade ke CPS.. kita patut bangga...

sorry dude zbreakbeatz.... nowday proton is better than perodua. New Saga is better than viva and myvi even saga is cheaper than both of the car. Gen2 got fully leather finishing for the interior.. new improved engine, power windows and much more... and i hate my big bro myvi.. interior still look like cheap plastic toy. u must doing a research before drop any comment.

Dude, sorry to tell you Perodua is just another Daihatsu (Toyota sub ) that has been rebadge by another name.

Tha's why there is no Technology Day for Perodua such as Proton Technology Day, because there is nothing to show, Perodua is just another rebadge from Daihatsu -Toyota. There is no really creative brain inside Perodua. They just follow what their big Papa says -"that is Toyota"
