It made me sad, and sad happy, and just plain depressed. People- even if you know that they die in the end (i didnt) you should still give it a try

Clannad is among the most amazing made animes ever, anyone who even slightly likes anime and haven't watched Clannad, is seriously missing out on a true life experience.. it made me cry several times, it made me happy but most of importantly it went to the heart. @Irisandra I agree the story is slow at first, I bet most people would give up on it at first just because of the semi-slow story in the beginning. However it simply prepares u for the real shiz and grants more depth to the series.

The problem with Romance Anime is that there is always a chance your favorite Pairing won't happen ruining the show forever. I think that's why a lot of people Hate Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien, they preferred one girl over the other and because they didn't get what they wanted the show in their eyes sucks. These lists vary so much from person to person.

In Clannad there's more episodes so you get to know the characters more which means when something bad happens it's more sad. And i think Clannad is more relatable in some ways. But this is my opinion. I've seen Air. It was sad also don't get me wrong. But just because it ended sad doesn't mean it was the saddest all together. Clannad had more dramatic sad parts I think..

And you get time to actually focus on the relationship between the characters in Air. But Clannad only was sadder by having more episodes. Which Air truly deserved more then 13 episodes since only 4 episodes only focused on the main characters. 4:13 episodes fail.
