My daughter and I made climbing the Beehive an annual event for about 12 years. The thrill was always there. My latest climb--probably my last climb of the Beehive-- was a couple of weeks before I turned 70. That time, we were up and back in less than an hour.
thanks for the video brought back fun memories of acadia especially the beehive. I loved acadia national park. i spent 3 years in bangor and would go a lot the last summer i lived there we went every weekend or at least every other weekend. I miss it.
@louiseyou Swimming in the Bowl is like partying in a leech farm. Even though the water is colder, you are much better off at Sand Beach. Fun little hike though.
@smackheadmetal Actually, that was the reason I didn't get in but we went in the summer and it was hard to resist. This past trip, had my daughter's friend with us who specifically said he wasn't fond of heights and I forgot I did the Bowl from the back last time. What a surprise! He was a trooper, though. BTW - fun music, too.
