The drum beats to every AC/DC song are basically the same after Back In Black. Angus Young was my inspiration to play guitar but he is not definately best or the fastest guitarist in the world! Led zeppelin diffidently wins. All of the acdc songs sound exactly the same as they play three chords and 12 bar blues. They are ALL blues rock nothing else. Led zeppelin went folk hard rock blues and even jimmy page was quite the celtic style player that angus couldnt dream of playing. Plant wins vocals no challenge. I respect your opinion, that was a better argument for AC/DC than I've ever heard. But There is absolutely no way that AC/DC is more talented than Led Zeppelin. First any AC/DC song you listen to it's the same beat, which is the first and most simple beat any drummer will learn. That's not to say he isn't capable of more but the reason for using that in every song is because with that beat you can use pretty much any guitar part...which means they probably couldn't put anything complex together.

John Paul Jones could play every instrument. Angus is good but Page plays more than just two modes. (Scales.) Page can write a song that sounds like an angel then turn around and write a song that sounds like an evil beast. He can play all styles of music. I would say as a pure singer, yes robert is better. But Brian Johnson's singing goes very well with the music. it makes for very strong and powerful music. Their musical diversity and pure skill is a bit more than AC/DC's, though AC/DC is still very talented. You can't really compare two songs from different eras of AC/DC. Scott generally allowed for more diversity in his music, whereas Johnson has many similar sounding tunes to his credit. Freddie Mercury could play in four octaves, and that's considered incredible. Scott didn't have 9 octaves...

kerrang magazine had a poll on the biggest rock icon ever, voted by artist and angus young came in at n1 with hendrix just behind him on votes, plant, page and bon scott made top ten, cnt remember the order. it depends on what genre or taste the mags or list makers are into, this is what determins the placements. classic rock had zep then acdc as the best bands ever but i knew what it would be before i read it because i know who that mag worships most. every mag has its genre and favs.

spot on appart from the who. acdc main influence was chuck, they also state early who, stones and zep as influences. acdc influenced, gnr, nirvana, james hetfield, bruce dickenson, judas priest, airborn, and loads of 80s bands.
