  • @unoturbo1990 Hallo.

  • What is said in the sms? "We have lost, Jesus is not here"?!?!AHahah

  • mines still living since 08 :) i had the same one in 07 but it was stolen :( had it barred

  • MY PHONEE IT IS PERFECT WOW *.*

  • Turn your smartphone into safe with Black & White Guard!

  • I HAVE THIS PHONE!!! IS VERY BAD

  • תודה אחי

  • yer well i guess but anyway nice vid

  • the phones you just quoted are way newer models than this now outdated 6110, of coarse they are going to have better features etc. cheers for feedback.

  • its great, i just got one yesterday, love it, great short review!

  • I have one...

  • good video man, very informative!

  • this is one of my phones that is so good, has a very loud audio, when i mean loud,i mean its really really loud lol,.. its also very fast despite all the mem hog apps i installed.. and the gprs is so fast.... i put it in my car,my bike anywhare..great phone!

  • thanks man, yeah mine is still going strong, still loving it. got a few dints but it can take it.

  • Cool! I'm getting a GPS for when I go biking in the hills. Wonder if there's some software for real time tracking so my parents know where I am when I'm out riding in case I fall off a cliff or something. Anyway this sounds likea good'un and it's cheap too!

  • can you make a video that shows me how loud this 6110 is?

  • look up my other video on the N93

its as loud or louder than that. there is a part where i play a song loud.

  • Hey back again. This may seem obvios and kind of stupid but the phone I thought was dead has been ressurected. It's a Nokia 6280 and a little over a year old. I've heard the 6280's all kinda died after a short life, and also I'm wondering exactly how much difference is between the two phones; would it be worth it to upgrade or would it just mainly be for the GPS. And now a petty but much needed question; what games does it come with? lol

  • hey, u probably figured it out by now but. the games are really basic, like "marbles" . i dont know much about the 6280. it probably does a good job. the navigator does have symbian softare platform, and thats cool if u want to put different programs on it. otherwise keep the 6280 and save some dosh ey! (-:

  • is it have WIFI

  • nah, shame it doesnt.

  • ahahaha, the best bit "Now turn left"...."Shutup"

  • QUESTION: are the games "marble" and "city blox"? man i hope not because my mother has them and im bored as hell... the games on my phone suck.

  • Pretty sure my 6280 is long gone and an contemplating my next move; would you recommend a N95 or 6110 Navigator? I don't want mainly gps but to have that too would be good. Any other suggestions?

  • well i saw the 6110 going for $299 at DickSmith.

i think that is a great deal.

the 6110 is more bullet proof than the n95 in terms of durability etc. The N95 is more techy and does more things with features moste ppl dontuse like wifi etc. The N96 looks awesome, yet its way too expensive.

If u dont have a video cam and like making movies for youtube, the n95 is better than the 6110. But im happy with my 6110, it does heaps, and im a techy geek at times. GPS is superior on the 6110. cheers

  • mail nokia navigator ha il gps integrato??

  • very good phone, had mine for about 12 months, now upgrading to an iphone, just ordered it today!

Only downside is i find that the gps is a lot slower to load up now than when it was new, took it to nokia and they did some software updates but it is still to slow for my liking.......

  • perhaps the gps is slow bc of other programs on the handstet. hmm strange. i'd try deleting inbox texts if over 400, and other media stuff. u prob already tried that. I would love to know how the GPS on your new iphone compares to your navigator (when its gps was properly working). all the best

  • الجوال جديد وبكراتينه

    ما عليكم منه

  • Nice, contemplating whether i should get one or not because my 6280 fucked last night

do you have to pay extra for the maps and stuff aswell?

  • Ah, yeah my 6110 has suffered many drops and scratches, but is still going strong!

you dont have to pay for the maps, all ready to go after just a few prompts out of the box.

  • haha jesus loves you.

    i got one today

    on the virgin $20 plan.

    ur chilled

    its good haha

  • I'm loved. By Jesus

  • this cell is over a year old i need to choosetill tomorrow. is the new navigator better than those or should i get the n95 or n96 need to know quickly

  • cos its older its on a cheaper plan, but i'd be seriously checking out the new 6220 (its the same thing but newer)otherwise, if you want something more comlicated check out the n96. i really like the look of the 6220. no slide action to do if your like me and use ur phone every 3 seconds. peace

  • Yep i do use my cell every 3 seconds . I am not sure if the n96 is available yet. the main reason I want this cell is because i want the best navigator and it seems that this is better than n95 n96 for gps use

  • very nice video! thanx for that. im going to buy it in the end of this month. its really cheap now :)

  • what should i get 6110 nav or the N81 8gb

  • do you need internet for the navi?

  • no mate.

Its like a gps hardware inside ^^

  • how good is the gps should i get this 6110 navigator or the new 6120 navigator or should i get the n series n95 or n96. my main purpose i need the best navigator

  • lol "now turn left - shut up" i laughed for days.

  • I lought my ass of when the phone said "Jesus loves u" xD

  • :|

it never said that. dont preach to me.

  • Listen to 2:45 :P

  • lol omg i forgot about that !!

yeh true, that is pretty funny

  • EoN604 what do u mean [ Only the VOICE part needs to be paid for. ]? I thought u mention that the voice is free for 6110?

  • everything in the phone is free, gps, msg reader. only those like web browser and stuff is according to ur mobile plan services.

  • hey thanks, yes that's right.

also to everyone reading this, i also recommend loading Opera Mini browser onto your phone, it works great on my Nokia. Heaps cooler than the default browser on the phone, has a pre built google search bar. Oh and you can also load youtube browser on your handest its great! but be warned cos data usage can put your phone bill into the Hundreds!!

  • if only navigator had something like wifi it would be almost perfect.. now mine has 7 movies,8gb.

  • hey im from australia to and this is the best review ive seen for any phone in all of youtube. cas i can understand you lol

  • the nokia 6110 have better gps then n95 6110 use route 66

  • That is exactly right, the best answer i can give those that are considering between getting the n95 or the navigator 6110 is this...

If you want decent voice guided GPS functionality that is free to use, Get the 6110 (-:

  • cost it money to be on the gps

  • please reply

  • howdy dude, all the answers are in the comments.

Answer again... 6110 can be used FREE.

  • nice im may gonna buy one now

  • Great review! Yours is the best Ive found on youtube. Im going to get this phone tomorrow cant wait

  • Great review, Thanks! But there are *SO MANY* contradicting comments in this thread re the GPS. If you dont know the 100% facts, then KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT PLEASE. Can someone state once & for all just state the rock solid facts about the Nokia n95 vs Nokia 6110 GPS in AUSTRALIA. Are they IDENTICAL? Are they both FREE? My understanding is, there's two modes for EITHER phone, a free one (slightly slow & crap) or a paid for one (faster??). Althoguh I by NO MEANS know if this is the truth.

  • EoN604, THE TRUTH IS NOKIA NAVIGATOR HAS FREE GPS BUT NOKIA N95 DOES NOT! THE GPS ARE BOTH THE SAME AS IN CONNECTION!AND BOTH DOES NOT WORK IN BUILDINGS.if you don't believe, take out the sim card of both phones and try using the gps. u'll see that in navigator it works but in n95 it does not because they charge you for n95 and it's charge by the simcard..btw, believe it or not, the camera for navigator(2mp)is better than the n95(5mp).the diff is clear and my friends agree on it.

  • No. here's the deal. You can use GPS for free on both of the phones. On the n95 you need to DOWNLOAD maps, but that's free. There is ONE difference. On n95 you need to PAY FOR USAGE OF VOICE. WIth 6110 the voice is free. Only the VOICE part needs to be paid for. The rest is free for both.

  • i agree ;)

but in some small buildins it works ;)

  • Could you tell me whats the difference from Nokia Maps(ready2go) or TomTom is better?

  • im looking at buying this phone.. i just read a review that it also has assited gps (which will cost as it connects to the net) and also the free gsp which is a bit slower.. did u have any problems with disabiling the a-gps and how do u do it? just dont want to get unstuck wiht a $60+ internet connection fee cheers mate!

  • dude, read the comments!!...

but yeah, i have this phone, the gps is awesome and YES its free usage totally!!!

its simple setting adjustment in the menu.

  • can u off ur camera sounds?? how??

  • hmm,, good Question,, i dont know if that is an option. if anything it will be in the settings for video or camera. but generally this is not allowed for privacy reasons or something like that. Cheers

  • wooo Aussie. Go Australia!!! =D anyway, thanks for the demo. Still deciding on which phone to get. =/ Do you know how much it is to get other maps around the world. say like America, or Singapore, HK, etc.

  • i cant get a fucking signal for my satalite and it's so fucking irritating! no matter where i am it's so fucking hard! wtf man the satalite sucks! someone help!! in 1 week i've only connected to gps once!

  • Thats weird. your profile says your from Singapore, so i do not know much about Gps usage over there. but i do know is GPS will not perform well or not at all in a built up high rise building area. and of coarse they only function outside or at a window.... otherwise get it looked at. Weird

  • are u able to connect everytime u're outside?? i've only connected once.

  • i finally got a connection. haha. cheared me alittle..

  • Hey man, hows the battery life with GPS navigation on, and with other things off, like BT?

  • bat life is not the best with GPS on, but thats when u use the incar charger anyway. im impressed with battery life considering its features.

  • i am getting one in two days!!! cant wait.. sorry n95 but the battery life kills you@!

  • how do u do the showing of album??

  • i think it just worked like that because i transfered the music from my iTunes, and that particular album included the art. The Nokia must have recognised it. Cool i thought

  • Got it - love it :O)

  • lols! hmm, phil, how did you get like a demo working?

  • check my other comments i sent you on the video page and give it a go (-:

  • Hey man, can u please end my confusion now and answer me this question please? Im from Oz too and want to know, is it true the N95 requirs u to pay a monthly fee to use the GPS!? And extra for the voice!?!? Hope not, many have said yes and many have said no! Im just confused, even Teslra and Nokia itself dont seem to know! Please explain whats real and whats not. I have a 6110 and its great, but i need a phone with good pics and vids, where as the Naviagtor falls short in that department.

  • correct me if wrong..The N95 does not have a true GPS receiver, it is totally Dependant on the network towers, which means it must continually send& receive data to your provider that means regular $ out of pocket. On the other hand 6110 has a fully independent GPS receiver built in, and does not require network support from any carrier, U can rip out the sim card and its still a funtional GPS. Because of restrictions on N95, consider the GPS navigation unusable but it kicks butt with media/vid

  • im confident i am 100% correct here. most store sales people dont know what they are talking about, they are only trained on how to sell. hope this has helped

  • Umm, i actually called Nokia 2day and they said the rumours occured because people set the mode to GPRS or WLAN, when all they apparently have to do is cancel that and leave it as default. And u are wrong, the N95 does have a dedicated GPS module built in its just people tend to not to use the default settings and get caught up with the prompts.. apparently. They said its free all up minus the voice Navigation. I could be wrong too though. lol. Thanx.

  • You're wrong actually. Both include a dedicated GPS unit.

The difference between the two is that the 6110 uses Route 66 and the n95 uses Nokia maps.

Route 66 requires you to pay for individual maps (you get your country's map free), but that cost includes the voice navigation component.

Nokia maps gives you access to all of the worlds maps for free, but requires you to pay an ongoing subscription for the voice nav, or for on the fly re-routing if you take a detour or wrong turn

  • Umm, hope u not replying to my comment cuz what u are saying is exactly what i said but differently worded. lol. Im agreeing, but what do u mean by "or for on the fly re-routing if you take a detour or wrong turn"? Re-routing is included in the voice nav subscription. :)

  • Hey there - i'm one like billions of others looking to get this phone, mine is a replacement since I managed to lose my old n80 (now discontinued) so can get this one through insurance. Think my mind is made up.

When I heard you tell the GPS to shut up, and the Jesus message, I laughed my ass off - very funny.

    Great review.

  • hey bro how did you get ur nav to go into demo? you obivouly wernt moving.. so yaeh..

  • Gday dude, glad to see your havin fun with it, saw your video,,although i dont approve of "sack wacking", thats not cool! haha

  • to do a demo...

activate Gps (doesnt need to find any satellites)

go to OPTIONS > TRIPS > PLAN NEW ROUTE

Then rename your new route "Demo" or whatever

It will ask for a DEPARTURE do a search for one as normal in the search menu (like your house)Then Set a DESTINATION address. Note you can also ADD WAYPOINTS (points on the way to destination) Then select OPTIONS > SIMULATE ROUTE and off it goes. arrow up to increase speed during demo.

  • hey man! remember me? losl i ended up getting one! OMG! best phone ever..

i would definatly recomend getting a crystal case, because it gets scratch prettty easiily..

well i've got a vid i've recorded on my phone and edited.. for some reason its pixlated.. but on my phone its very mega clear.. only bad thing its a MP4, my other firends cant play MP4.. but yeah!!

thanks for your help from b4!!

    thanks

  • shutup lmao

  • n95 is gud lol but u got to pay for the navigator, not like this one which is free

  • i have this phone and is very cool

  • I could listen to you talk all day

  • i have no friends either thats why i have the same phone. maybe you could be my friend

  • dude u just said to the gps virtual lady > "shut up" lolll ))) 5 stars...the phone is great!!!

  • Have you tried the sports tracker yet? It is free...

  • This is the best phone! thank you phildawe.

  • Hey mate firstly sick video! Finally an aussie one haha... With the music player is it like the n73 where you can scroll through the songs by artist or album etc...?

  • yep, you can do that with the music player.

i was loading podcastes on mine too.

    its good.

  • Another question. Please can someone answer this!!!

When using the audio jack on the phone, does the GPS voice play through the jack? I'm asking because I have a

frontloader in my car with an aux in. Thanx

  • I didn't really expect too much out of this phone. You proved me wrong. Gonna try and get one in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait.

One question... How does the GPS compare to a Garmin GPS?

  • Hi. "How does the GPS compare to a Garmin GPS?"

Well Obviously the Garmin is a Dedicated Gps, so they are not comparable. Garmin would eat it for breakfast, Bigger screen, more detail maps etc.

but it will still get you around well.

About the plug in jack feature, you got me there, not sure. get a demo and see is the best bet. (-:

  • Hey mate.. cool video... nice review.. ive been looking at this phone... yeah now im sold on it.. i c what you mean with the n95... this phone is pretty good value. Thanks.

  • How come you think the GPS on the nokia 6110 is better than the GPS? Have you compared them before? Also is the only downfall about the N95 against the 6110, the fact that you have to pay a fiver a month for the voice?

Thanks again for your help, cheers :-D

  • well, just one more just wondering if you knew about the warranty deals dicksmith has.. if you cant tell me now.. ill just go there tomorrow after school!

well anyways thanks for your help! oh oh one more thing, can you use like the internet with this phone, say visit myspace, hotmail etc

    thanks again

  • dude, im not a SHOP haha

1yr warranty is standard. the handset has high speed internet capability, you will need to speak with your carrier about online services and what they can offer. instan messaging is a big YES, hotmail, think so, depends on your carrier (voda, optus etc). (-:

  • Wow! i should'a read your comment before i left this morning!!

Me and my bro went out.. we went to all phones, they only had the optus stock in.. so we were like.. nahh! VODA FTW!

so we went around other places.. and my brother went home.. and i walked passed dicksmith and thought i should try one more time! i was like DOH!

  • Hey, great video! It told me exactly all the important bits of the phone that i needed to know.

I want to get a phone with GPS and at the moment i'm stuck between the Nokia 6110 and the N95. You mentioned the N95 before and i was just wandering if you have any advice for my predicament? Also i was wandering what is the battery life like for the 6110 and how easy is it to get a connection for the GPS on the 6110?

    Thanks

  • n95 is more like a computer, it has EVerything, but its GPS funtionality is not as good in fact Forget it if you need GPS funtionality cos you gotta P A Y for it Ouch

if your primary need is GPS, go the 6110 all the way, it kills the n95 is this area. but you can do Everything on the n95. better video so you can upload to youtube, better camera. lookint the feature online and weigh it up. Cheers in UK dude!

  • For real? So u actually have to pay for use of the GPS in Australia on the N95!? WTF!? How does that work? Just as i was thinkin of gettin an N95, u sure? Isnt it just the maps u gotta pay for? I heard the voice navigation and shit is free, but u gotta buy the maps. Im confused.

  • As far as I know this is incorrect. I've been told by numerous sources that you can use the GPS for free on the n95. Can you confirm?

  • Hey man awsome vid! im pretty satisfied with all the good news im hearing from this phone! just wondering.. what are the cons?

    i have a few more Q's..

when you pull up the GPS, say your driving and you like stop to pull over for like 2 minutes.. will the GPS still run? or like stop..

    thanks..

PS! your accent sounds aussie.. just wondering if you know the best place to get one out right.. well the cheapest.. im planning to go via ebay.. but yeah..

thanks! hope to here from ya soon!

  • yep, GPS stay locked on for as long as you want it to, stopping or moving. it just sits there waiting, does not shut down on you.

im aussie, best store i know of to get best out right price is dick smith PowerHouse. and ebay is always gonna have good deals.

just get one i recon. Cheers

  • How much do maps cost and what areas do they cover ie can I buy a map just for England or is it only parts of England?

  • Hi;

Im not too sure on that, but you could ask 'ryan519636' in the previous comment, hell have a better idea. Cheers

  • oh, that kinda sucks man. Yeah i know the Australian model has most of the maps you need. I dont know much about Canada, but they have a lot of snow. it should be a worthy investment for u though. its a Shame the unit does not come with a bonus 'Nokia' snow plow! haha

  • Hey mate,

Nice Review. You focus on the important stuff and you have a really nice clear voice. Perhaps a career in radio or TV?? lol

Just one suggestion, for your next rave review, do it somewhere with a little more light cos the vid is a bit dark. Besides that point, absolutley great.

I wonder if the GPS works without having the slider open??

    Thanks, Andrew

  • lol thanks man! yes i know it turned out dark, and poorly focussed, sorry about that. im happy to receive funding to get a better camera and skills haha.

Yes GPS works with slider fully closed, and screen remains backlit entire time the GPS screen is on.

I'll be right back after these commercials haha.

  • Now turn left, shut up, lol

  • How do you find the build quality?

A few people find the plastic a bit flimsy.

    Other than that, nice phone!

  • yeah. it feels more solid and stable than the N95 which is twice the price. it has a good smooth action slide, and is sturdy. its got a good weight to it and is not flimsy feeling. It seems to promise better durability than the 6680 6600 series 3g handsets. good for price anyway. (-:

  • hmmm so you mean if I wanted to go to a particular mall in brisbane or building i would have to pay for the gps service for that ? When does it become free ? Thanks ..

  • nah, the optus chick you spoke with did not fully know what she was talking about, she (like most people) have confused the 6110 with the N95 (which does cost to use) You DO NOT pay ANYTHING when looking up any address and navigating to it. (unless u select network assist mode, which is not necessary). Cool huh, just like a tomtom.

  • I inqiured at optus regarding GPS. The saleslady said that there is a fee for usin GPS on specific loacations. Like if you enter a precise address she says you get charged for it.

  • yes this is true, the handset 'can' use the network for extra location support through the cell tower, and therefore charge ur sim. However there is an option to switch off the "use network" feature in the settings. u can even operate GPS without a sim.

  • Cool phone mate .. have you tried usin mobile messenger on it ?

  • you mean like Msn,,,Nah not yet, its not set up, but it will be really quick as the handset has HSDPA (high speed connection) equates to about 512k broadband speeds.
