I wonder if the first audience clip even had a clue at the time he was blind. (Which only makes his talent all the more outstanding.) Shame on Rolling Stone.
from Jose' Sepulveda, the Hermeterec.....the fact that Rolling Stone did not include Jose' Feliciano on their list of 100 greatest guitarists invalidates their list! Downbeat magazine, the greatest authority of all listed Jose' many times that they finally retired him from consideration along with people like Chet Atkins and Wes Montgomery.
That list bites the big one.....Les Paul 46th and Stevie Ray Vaughn 7th come on now! Both of these guys deserve higher ratings. For Jose not to be mentioned really sucks.
AMAZIIIIING!! sooo talented, a true prodigy. thank GOD he's still around. all that talent comes from his soul.thank you for posting this vid. i love that i'm able to see treasure from the past when musicians were REAL!! (im only 20 but appreciate, respect and LOVE GOOD music.)
I just posted on another video of him playing Purple haze electric that I had never seen him play electric before only to see hear he's been doing it as a kid. He was a prodigy and still is.
I could never understand why Rolling Stones did not include Feliciano in their list of top 100 guitarists. What were they thinking, or more appropriately, not thinking?
@karinablacktie They were under the influence of mind altering recreational chemicals! LOL! But even so that's a flimsy excuse. I had the absolute pleasure of being at a recent benefit concert of his (Toronto) and I have to say that I almost forgot how exceptional he is... perhaps they did to. How wonderful to rediscover Jose Feliciano. Peace.
@karinablacktie He's not on the list because they would have to concede he is number one and that would mess up the mythology they have been peddling all these years.

He's way beyond human talent!, Hendrix, Satriani, Page, Cooder, Segovia or any other got nothing on Feliciano.

@karinablacktie It's just that none of the top 100 can stand with Jose!

@nanderson1965 Oooh....would have to say equal here however, one for electric and the other for acoustic.
Good post.
