@RYANRYAN1234567 Ahh no, my man. that's the beauty of it! these guys can't get on that train (AKA move on in their lives) unless they get rid of the baggage they've been carrying with them (AKA the heartache of the past)
I want to do something like this with my two best friends, go to a foriegn land and just experience and explore and maybe just maybe mace someone in the face LOL!!!!

"Powerman" by the Kinks. Wes Anderson uses this song and two others from the same album in this movie (Lola Versus Powerman and The Moneygoround, Part I)
I love that song that starts at 3:16 the best from the soundtrack (arriving in Benaras). I tried to learn Adrien Brody's character's little dance thing- that sequence is so brilliant
@Novelboy2112 I don't know why, but this movie took me a while to open up to. Now I don't see why I ever disliked it to begin with. Now I think it's a pretty good film. As far as Wes Anderson's best film, everyone has their own favorite it seems. Nobody ever really agrees on that. People either pick Rushmore, Tenenbaums, or Life Aquatic. By the way Fantastic Fox is very underrated.
I think there are no such thing as "the best" and "the worst". Even some films that are ridiculously bad, they do deliver some entertainment to me, as the audience. Well, this film, I must say that it's a really good film but not the best in Wes' career or anybody else because if everything is "the best" or "the worst", there would be no such thing as the humors about how ridiculously bad our lives are, and we can still laugh at ourselves and live another day.
first two minutes of this part is the best part of the movie. i love it. i just have one question, at 1:00, who is that character? i don't remember seeing him...
also, who is 1:19? i remember seeing him run after the train in the begining but i don't see his significance.
@ 1:00 is the man in the compartment adjacent to the whitmans.
@ 1:19 is "businessman", and I think hes their to kick start the movie. Bill murray flying thru traffic in India, who could change the channel after seeing that????
