there isn't really much of a problem with having no auction house

all it will do is make trade more active and encourage communication

if you're an asshole and you want craftables you cant just buy them off the AH, you have to find someone willing to trade with you

which will be harder or easier depending how big of asshole you are

You can't you have to download the wow client at a earlier release like 1.6 version then patch all the way up to 1.12

Rename your old wow folder so it's backed up... then download wow client 1.6 and start patching manually up to 1.12

If you want to go back to retail just switch the 2 folder name's. from your old wow folder that u renamed.

you cant down patch... u need to re download wow from a patch that was before 1.12 then patch the new wow up to 1.12... there is no unpatching.

Hm, open your patch foler, and delete everything. the click on repair,a nd it will say wow is severely damaged. it will revert to last patch. let it. rinse, repeat. This may or may not work, I know it can at least bring you down to early Wrath patches, I've never tried beyond that though, so just try and see what happens, as long as you own the game reinstalling is no biggy.

This is not classic wow, classic wow is witout those battlegrounds for fags, the real battlegrounds were the fronteer regions between horde and alliance, and it was ruined when the battlegrounds were implemented, instead of raiding a town with tons of defenders you now carry a flag like faggot or stay in stable just waiting to capture it.

This is the worst discussion in wow history... vanilla acutally sucked hardcore. The game wasent close to being balanced, is just overrated cause everybody sucked ass at that time, which seemed to make it more fair. Create an account on the truewow site, reinstall wow 1.1 on your pc. Then download patch 1.12.1 (a link is on the truewow forum). Log in with your truewow account information and have fun with the one and only real wow! (as long as you go play on the pre-tbc server. TBC is -NOT- true wow!!!)

It's not that simple. The people who generally play private servers don't really want to put in the work for it to do it all the right way. So private servers get you to max level and give you a little gear to get you started.

People don't play video games to be a part of the game anymore though. WoW is just something to do, it's not something to be a part of.

No, you must install a separate world of warcraft and only update it to patch 1.12.1. You should be able to do this by renaming the folder WoW is in from World of Warcraft to something else, I can't garuntee this will work though.

It doesn't have to be like a regular computer game, but Blizzard just took the roleplaying pretty much out of it. Now they cater to everyone. It's no different than playing Halo online. Even the raiding is no different. You go in, you kill anything that moves and leave. No one really cares why they go in there. they just do it. You just level a character and either queue queue queue for bg/arena or kill boss after boss. It's something to do, rather than something to be a part of.

I still can't forget the day I rolled my first character, a Night Elf Rogue 5 years ago... The music was so soothing, the environement amazing, and the npc's voices... damn I couldn't believe my eyes and ears. Then a few levels later we would go to Ashenvale and explore Blackfathom Deeps! The game was flawless then... Now sadly the magical atmosphere is no more because we know everything there is to be known, no more surprises, just little lols here and there.
