If you were to connect this unit to a high efficiency pump, say it was moving 3600ghp and consuming 180W, could you create a sustainable system that would produce a significant amount of excess?
@d1v1n3ebp Someone needs to go back to science class since it breaks the laws of physics in many ways you cant create more energy then is given and that would count as perpetual motion. If that worked then a electric car could charge its own batteries to full so there would be no reason for a car like the prius .
@STRIKER520 What you are forgetting is that the magnets themselves have an enormous amount of energy that is being harvested when the generator is turning. So it does not break the laws of physics, you are just ignoring one of the energy sources. The energy required to turn the drive shaft is all that it takes to harvest the energy stored within the magnets. In addition, if you read the news, Einstein's theory of relativity may have just been faulted. So there is your physics class.

is it possable to use mains house water to genorat power using somthing like a drill pump in a larger scale... youtube drill pump to see that I meen "utube number vvz3752M60s "
? if u add a second nozel on the otherside of the same turbine or even another wheel & turbine to the same generator would u be able to virtually double your output? Considering the generator is of adiquate size? Im looking to power 2 households & have a great local.. thanks for the time
no, assuming the blade can only turn so fast with the given pressure coming out of the nozzle. With the assistance of a second nozzle it might only help with turning the blade a little easier. But if the nozzles are feeding from the same source the output is reduced. It's like adding a Y splitter to a garden hose. The same amount of water is coming out of both of them but it's half as much at each hose. Therefore if there were nozzles on each hose, there's less pressure.
seems to me it would be better to let gravity help and need less water pressure, by having a water wheel, perpendicular to the earth , and a massive rain capturing funnel, to help also :) then you could resuse the water, in cascading turbines ;)
My question with this is "How do you pressurize the water in the first place?" I understand that the idea is to shoot a jet of water at the wheel, thereby powering the generator. But how do you get that high-pressure flow in the first place? If you lived by a fast-flowing stream, perhaps you could use that? But what happens when it freezes in the winter?
I wonder if you could do it with a 1000gal tank of collected rainwater (collected from roof runoff). Figure a tank 64"D x 80"H with a 2 1/2" opening at the bottom reduced down to a 1/4" nozzle. That's some serious head.
I believe the 200 dollar question is this for most people. I dont have a high head water source but I have 80 lbs of pressure in my water supply.
can I produce 200 dollars worth of electricity and end up with a 100 dollar water bill?????.
that would be a good trade off!!!
I dont know if anyone else thought of this but think of the potential it would have as an emergency back up generator when your grid goes down using available utility supplied water presure.
I had the same idea, but like for example hook it inline with your main pipe going to your house. This way whenever your using water, the sprinklers are on ect your getting a power bonus.
what is the amperage it produces? 12 V? what hight of the fall and also what quantity of water do you need for the machine you show?
how much could my waterfall produce? it has 15 meter fall on about 100 meter horizontal distance. I think I could "steal" momentarily the river's water at about 60-100 liters per minute. how much amp\hr could I get?
I appreciate these forms of energy. I have solar and eolic energy without grip power at my home.
Where can i get the turbine part & price ? What are they made of ? How do i get info on gallons per min. flow for each different turbine size ? Please elaborate info Thank You !
do you have a website ican see or know of one, im trying to build a micro hydro system at home with no natural water supply but your second vid the water seems to be dropping into a tank, could this just be pumped back thru? so the whole system could run on about 10 lires of water?
what sort of flow pressure do you need coming out of the nozzle?
I don't have a website yet, but I hope to have the possibility to edit all my expertise and all my experiments about the micro-hydro system. I I have correcty understood what you would like o do, unfortunately I have to tell you that it's impossible. The energy spent by the pomp to make function the generator is FoR SURE higher than the enery produced. A micro-hydro system function only when we have a natural source of energy to use. I hope to have been clea. Thanks and Goodbye
I manufacture various diameters of turbine. In order to obtain the numbers of rpm correct for the generator in function to the pressure of the system. The final efficiency is good.

how much head pressure is required to produce one kw of electricity???
and how much water flow per minute would you need?

Great video. Do you build and sell the turgo turbine, nozzel and water chamber? Have you ever tired your turbine wheel on a 20kw or higher generator?

about 600 watt

we could all dump our waste water through it and have a methane burning turbine on the other end!
Flush twice if you can't see!

The turbines build myself.
If I communicate your head and net flow (liter / second) can give you advice.
The turgo wheel I sell on ebay.
If you need them to send me an e-mail

you must know the cost to the cubic meter of the water.
But probably it is not possible.
However it is a sin to use of the drinkable water in order to produce therefore little energy.

I produce 220v but it is possible to produce also 12v.
with the data that you report to me you can produce:
W=15m x 60 liters x 9,81 = 147 watts
but considering the losses you can obtain W=147 x 0,4 = 58 watt
it considers that you produce them for 24 hours in continuous.
on the contrary of the solar one and the wind generator

Can i know the specific material that you used to built the turbine..what u think the best size for turbine if i use alternator as generator?
haikael 4 years ago
Specific speed? I've forgotten.
apeppink 4 years ago
thanks for the comment!
Yes i use a asynchronous motor for generator.
A three-phase generator can be converted
into a single-phase generator, which produces
approximately 80% of the machine rating, by
connecting two capacitors.
The motor in the video is 4 poles (1500 rpm).
I manufacture various diameters of turbine. In order to obtain the numbers of rpm correct for the generator in function to the pressure of the system. The final efficiency is good.
