I love EA mma. And think the striking is WAAAAAY better than UFC Undisputed.. BUT, the ground game is NOT good in EA mma... Just because i cant do what i wanna do to win a fight. this game sucks, if you set the cpu to anything above easy you get taken down over and over again, you cant defend for shit, and it takes like 3 punches to get ko'd when you're on the bottom. you cant throw power punches or power kicks and the cpu has an answer for everything you do,. ufc is better and i hate that game.

this is the best game ever, seriously. This game has become like my religion. It is so technical and I think is best played when high off of some good weed as everything slows down and you can understand the subtle parts of the game better.

My fighter is a monster. Strong takedowns, hard right hand, strong wrestling, 99 rating striking on the ground. Good at doing chokes. I use excellent head movement. I basically try to peeka boo like tyson did.

@skull9111 the only way i can do it is by not atacking when i knock down my opponent and let him recover and get up. then i do it all again and again.he eventually get KO'd on his feet

I guess with a counter-strike u can also KO a guy but i've never done it

I have UFC 2009, UFC 2010 and EA MMA. EA MMA is BY FAR the best of the three, it has the most authentic and fun gameplay. Also the UFC games are unplayable online due to lag and overdone flash KO's, whereas EA MMA is great online despite people who try to be cheesy with classic control hook spams and super CAFs.

@MrrrrrrrrrANARCHY They do have spinning back kick. You have to go to Pat Miletich's gym and learn a special move. In career mode your character can learn a variety of moves up to 16 different types from different martial arts.

To be fair, you can argue whether this or UFC:U is better but the bottom line is that neither of them are a true depiction of an MMA fight. It'll take years for them to really be able make it flow naturally like an actual fight. Look at Fight Night for example! When you look at the difference between Fight Night Round 2 (1st game to introduce Total Punch Control) and FN:Champion, it's ridiculous how much better and smoother looks. Just give it a few years to see where these franchises head

My only real issue with the game is that it's kind of spazzy. From striking to grappling to applying submissions; it all comes at you like a fucking hurricane. Don't get me wrong; it's fun, it just leaves something to be desired in terms of being a simulation. UFC is better in that regard IMO. Their fighters also seem to have truer A.I.

That being said, I'd much rather play MMA. I have to talk myself into playing my career on UFC, I have to pull myself away from playing my career in MMA.

Best MMA game, period.... the Stand up and Clinch is amazing, Take downs absolutly pwn, rear naked choke is a little bit of an issue due to not understanding in tutorial, No Decay, Training is easily navigated, skills are slowly worked on, you see the improvments ingame and reap it benefits during fights....Never thought i would say this, UFC need to up there game in the upcoming new Undisputed.... Difficulty levels would be a nice edition to EA Sports MMA!

I'd also like to note that I played UFC 2010 daily up until EA MMA's release, which if memory serves was a span of 4 months or so, and I am also an equal fan of ALL MMA companies, and not UFC exclusively.

UFC 2010 can't compare to EA MMA's realism. My opinion is not biased in the least, I bought both games at their midnight release's. Sure, UFC 2010 has a more popular roster but it sacrifices in gameplay and realism, (IE the ground grappling/submission system is atrocious). EA MMA, while lacking a very popular roster is fluid and complete in gameplay, and is very competitive and realistic. If EA had rights to UFC's fighters nobody would be on UFC 2010's side in this argument.

the ugly thing about this game is that it's a fuckin copycat. Dana White first approached to EA to make UFC Undisputed but EA told Dana that MMA wasn't a sport, and they won't touch that industry. But after the Undisputed 2009 became successful they conceptualized this game because of envy. If you're a UFC fan, don't buy this. Too bad EA lost to 2K on NBA, and they lost to THQ on MMA. How terrible.
