I know exactly what breed you're referring to. I've worked in dog rescue for years, specifically with "bully" breeds. There is a chance that it may be a mix, but it's not a full breed American Bulldog.

But headlines in newspapers says "PIT BULL ATTACK" not dog attack, and chances are if a dog attacked someone it wouldn't even be brought up because this stance the media has made on targeting pit bulls. In my life I have been attacked by five dogs. ASD, Border Collie, Huskie, Lab, and a Collie. Every Pit I have met has been sweet, but all animals are unpredictable.

My mom has a pitbull that weighs around 150 and he is sweet with cats. The cats often spend the night in the garage with him. He only hates one out of four of the cats and thats because it acts scared of him and runs.

This is an amazing promotion for pit bulls. They get such bad raps because all we hear about it how pit bulls attack everything. Not true. Pit bulls are extremely gentle, and that's what we don't hear about. People don't want to hear that they're nice. They are extremely caring for other animals, and the only reason they can be cruel is because of their owners. Just like any animal. That saying, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you" is true, not just for humans, but for animals.
i adopted two pitbulls from the pound and brought them home to two cats that iv had for years. At firts the pits wanted to chase and attack, after only a couple of days of training the dogs respect the cats and dont even try it anymore. Pitbulls are very smart and easily trained. I love my dogs
this is so true, but the shelter i volunteer at more often than not says after a 10 second into with cats that "the dog does not get along with cats" and wont adopt them to a home where cats live. This eliminates ALOT of homes. I mean, ANY dog might chase a cat on first meeting, it doesn't mean they wont settle down and settle in and get along fine.
Its the owners not the animals, if you teach a child to steal and taht its ok the child will do it, if you teach a dog to fight and tahts its ok, the dog will do it and most owners abuse their animals into fighting so... ya know

I used to be scared of pit bulls, because they look quite stocky and the name doesn't do them very well either. But they are so sweet and trustworthy. I heard that they are so obedient and loyal that they will do almost anything for their owner so thats why arseholes can turn easily train them into fighting dogs, but their true nature is very soft.

It looks like the duck is trying to see in his nose hahaha! My rottweiler is so kind to the tiniest things. My friend had a 2 week old boston terrier and he was the same way. Very docile and just observant...he's the same with squirrels and other smaller things too...its kinda nice. Gentle giants!
mine tries to hunt squirrels, we have some more training to do. i feel bad becuase my pitbull is pretty much afraid of everything besides family...:-(

You guys need to wake up. Pit bulls are killing machines that are one of the most dangerous dogs. They have dangerously strong jaws that make them more dangerous than almost any other dog. did you notice how the camera holder had to move the dog away when the duck got cornered. Pitbulls have gotten a bad reputation Because bad people will get pitbulls, I've seen a Pitbulls that was as nice as my old labradore was, there are a lot of good pitbulls.
I do not plan on getting one though.

People think pitbulls are mean! there not at all! my sister has one, and it is the cutest thing in the world! it wouldnt hurt a fly! and when people look at pitbulls its only the bad stuff they do! thats only because u raise them to be feirce like any other dog!!!!! stuped news people! bit bulls r cute!

LOvely dog (and duck!). I have a beautiful, gentle pittbull and get so annoyed sometimes that they have such a bad reputation mostly because fools don't raise them right.

@sbac57 What really pisses me off is the fact that Pitts have such a bad rep (regardless of the amount of them that are well trained and, people friendly) but, so many lap dogs are extremely aggressive and, very annoying at that. If pitts should be banned from certain places, so should so stupid weenie dogs AKA Douchsunds

People get the impression pitbulls are mean because some assholes train them to be mean. They can and are just as easily trained to be loyal and loving companions. They are extremely intelligent and unfortunately that is why they are capable of learning such a wide array of attitudes.

i have a pit just like this one, with one brown ear and one spotted, and she too, is a complete sweatheart, i dont think she'd hurt a fly. She loves to wrestle and play though.

i had a pitbull but he was put 2 sleep a couple months ago & he would never hurt a fly :'( he was only 6 (& huge xD) he was a red nose pitbull. i posted the vid of him as a video responce

People can go ON for years about how nice and gentle pit bulls are, and to tell you the truth is that I agree a hundred percent. But headlines in newspapers says "PIT BULL ATTACK" not dog attack, and chances are if a dog attacked someone it wouldn't even be brought up because this stance the media has made on targeting pit bulls. In my life I have been attacked by five dogs. ASD, Border Collie, Huskie, Lab, and a Collie. Every Pit I have met has been sweet, but all animals are unpredictable.

had a pit for 17 yrs played with my kids. never hurt a fly. other dogs would pick on him and all he could do was smile like i am sorry for bugging you. i would have another in a heart beat. the smaller dogs are more dangerous.

Lived for 17 years? I have a lab right now that is 16 but has hip displasia. But i agree its defenitly not the dogs falt but the owners falt.

iam a big fan of pitbulls and the fact that there are all of these videos of pitbull fights on youtube is so annoying. because people who are sheep will see all of these videos will assume the worst of anything. i bet you these morons can make heaven sound like shit. it is all on how you perceive and study. pitbulls are one of the most influential dogs, they learn from there master do what they do. so people are the problem so..... back to enjoying the video.

My mom has a pitbull that weighs around 150 and he is sweet with cats. The cats often spend the night in the garage with him. He only hates one out of four of the cats and thats because it acts scared of him and runs.

This is an amazing promotion for pit bulls. They get such bad raps because all we hear about it how pit bulls attack everything. Not true. Pit bulls are extremely gentle, and that's what we don't hear about. People don't want to hear that they're nice. They are extremely caring for other animals, and the only reason they can be cruel is because of their owners. Just like any animal. That saying, "Do unto others as you would have others do unto you" is true, not just for humans, but for animals.

i adopted two pitbulls from the pound and brought them home to two cats that iv had for years. At firts the pits wanted to chase and attack, after only a couple of days of training the dogs respect the cats and dont even try it anymore. Pitbulls are very smart and easily trained. I love my dogs

this is so true, but the shelter i volunteer at more often than not says after a 10 second into with cats that "the dog does not get along with cats" and wont adopt them to a home where cats live. This eliminates ALOT of homes. I mean, ANY dog might chase a cat on first meeting, it doesn't mean they wont settle down and settle in and get along fine.

Its the owners not the animals, if you teach a child to steal and taht its ok the child will do it, if you teach a dog to fight and tahts its ok, the dog will do it and most owners abuse their animals into fighting so... ya know

Your pit is very gentle- I've always liked pits :) I think there are too many laws to keep one in Aus without restricting its quality of life though. Ah take a look at my vid- My dog and parrot meet my new duckling for the first time! I got my dog when he was born.

I used to be scared of pit bulls, because they look quite stocky and the name doesn't do them very well either. But they are so sweet and trustworthy. I heard that they are so obedient and loyal that they will do almost anything for their owner so thats why arseholes can turn easily train them into fighting dogs, but their true nature is very soft.
Thanks for sharing the video. I love that animals don't live up to their stereotypes and do actually get along - unless they're hungry ;)

It looks like the duck is trying to see in his nose hahaha! My rottweiler is so kind to the tiniest things. My friend had a 2 week old boston terrier and he was the same way. Very docile and just observant...he's the same with squirrels and other smaller things too...its kinda nice. Gentle giants!

You guys need to wake up. Pit bulls are killing machines that are one of the most dangerous dogs. They have dangerously strong jaws that make them more dangerous than almost any other dog. did you notice how the camera holder had to move the dog away when the duck got cornered. I promise a half hour alone together and that duck would be very dead.
