I wonder if they ignored the fact that they already have free-fall lifeboats that can do this, much less the fact that the coast guard already drops self-inflating lifeboats to people in trouble but the circumstances in which they do it are already rare what with how long range their jayhawks are?

really good idea, but the human body can't withstand the deceleration (-G's) when the boat hits the water. great structural design though.

@sashavlad84 its meant to be dropped down to a person in the water stranded, not with a person in it. But either way this show sucks big time...
