  • @jmat412 Yup!!

  • @jmat412 correct.........Frank was rehearsing the Ikettes on the "Im ridin a small tiny horse, his name is "Mighty Little" bit from the song "montana".....which is a very difficult piece of music , by the way, and they finally got it right, and were very excited with their achievement, when Ike Turner came into the control room, and was heard to mutter ..." What the hell is THIS shit"................

  • @imajeepster i went to see motorhead/megadeth just last week...but i admit i'd feel a bit out of place at "Foster the People". I still wish i was 23 anyways!

  • @imajeepster lucky

  • I'll just put you in a coma with some dirty love. Played this song for a girl years back blew her mind then she blew mine ;)

  • Who's playing the guitar solo?

  • @chall0231 Zappa himself, I think.

  • @chall0231 - Zappa played ALL lead guitars, and all guitar parts on some albums, up until the very early 80's when Steve Vai (yes that Steve Vai) was employed as "stunt guitarist" and joined in the lead guitar effort for a few albums. Zappa's early-mid 70s solos are some of the best you'll ever hear.

  • i heard 3 seconds of it and i was like....I LIKE!

  • Come on Frenchie, Snap it !

  • Not a speck of cereal!

  • '' I don't need your sweet devotion ,I don't want your cheap emotion

Just whip me up some vaseline lotion,

For your dirty love '' - sweeeeeeet

  • LOL to eveningstar. If she don't dig it, she ain't worth it.

  • I learned the hard way that Frank Zappa is the worst possible choice of make-out music

  • SNAP IT!

  • wants dirty love......

  • My mother had this record - I used to sit on the floor of the living room as a kid and just pour over the art on the cover while listening to it. Such excellent times, I was so lucky to grow up listening to amazing music.

  • @IncessantLuminescent Pretty much everyone that was cool in 73 was doing the exact same thing. Required listening in my home.

  • @nadmenny My mother was still a kid herself in '73. My first Zappa experience was at 5 years old in the early 90's. XD

  • whhoo whooo whoooo

  • CAPS LOCK

  • F.Z

  • era foda mesmo

  • Frank Zappa = absolute musical genius.

  • @LegendCorridor what would you know

  • If you don't get Frank Zappa, you don't get Frank Zappa. It doesn't mean you are stupid, it doesn't mean you have a shitty taste in music. It just means it isn't your thing.

But rest assured, the man deserves every bit of praise he has ever gotten.

  • @MrGsullivan Exactly. I mainly listen to Death Metal, but Frank was was a god-damned genius and that transcends genres or styles...

  • @MrGsullivan Ditto!

  • @MrGsullivan Logic at YouTube? Good grief.

  • Used to freak out the uncool kids in high school by blasting Zappa through my Panasonic Take and Tape, as loud as it would go any way.

  • Thanks for more FZ on YouTube!!! Frank truly helped me make it through high school in Mormon Mecca Mesa, AZ!!! If it wasn't for FZ I'd be one of the the proto-typical Top-40 music listeners! Due to his creativity I escaped with my own identity and musical taste!

  • Frank is/was my number one Bitch!

  • finally someones added this song to youtube, DAMN thanks!

  • Like a pink donation to the dragon in your dreams:) Your missed Frank!

  • Zio Frank è DIO!!

  • ayf Michael

  • What does he mean by 'little bo peep diploma"?

  • frank in the guitar are god...

  • Porn music

  • I'll ignore your cheap aroma

And your little Bo Peep diploma

I'll just knock you in a coma

With some dirty love ... Some dirty love

Used that in bars all the time back in the Seventies; great pickup line

  • @Callmelennie . What does he mean by "little bo peep diploma"?

  • @fadethetrade If I were to venture a guess he probably means "innocent", or "unwordly", or "virginal" All I know is that most chicks at the time thought that lyric was pretty funny

  • Nice!!!

  • a wonderful song that still sends shivers up me spine.. and I dedicate it to my own dirty boi!

  • damn...good old fucking time...

  • best damn solo on earth.

  • No one beats the old Frank. He was a god.

  • "He use to be such a nice boy. He use to mow my lawn"

    "Turn that down!!"

  • I play the trombone. When I was 18 I finally started memorizing certain melodies and riffs. Dirty Love was one of the first. Red Baron by Billy Cohbam was also in that first group of tunes.

I love Zappa. I love Zappa. I love Zappa.

I have an uncle who is my father's youngest brother. When I was around that same age, mentioned above, I found out that he was going out to see see Zappa when he was 16, 17, 18.....

I helped solidfy the mystery and love that IS Frank Zappa!!

  • hope the neighbours enjoyed that song

  • LOVE IT "dirty"..... ;-)

  • the poodle bites! come of Frenchy...:)

  • @Spule4 they were probably looking for more 'cereal'

and for the other questions, Tina and the Ikettes did the backing vocals on this track as well as most of the album. Tina says she still has a check signed by Frank for the gig!

  • I still have this vinil...I got it from my father...one of the best LP artwork ever...

  • 1 dislike! lol what did they think they were going to hear?

  • @buster52 Probably upset that the Poodle bites....

  • "Divine" dirty!!!

  • CHANGED MY LIFE

  • @wilxx102938476 Mine tooooooo!

  • Ike Turner wouldn't know a good song if he walked up and punched it in the face.

  • @punk137ya I heard that Ike Turner moved into a basement apartment so he could see what it's like to throw a woman UP a flight of stairs for a change.

  • I read that Tina Turner is an uncredited background singer on this song- and that Ike turner dismissed the song Montana as shit during the same recording session

  • Whip me up some dragon lotion!

  • Awww, Frenchie!

  • Poodle bites

  • Like yo momma make that nasty poodle do?

  • @wedgem Now who the fucking fuck would flag this as spam? Seriously dude

  • poodle chews.....even Brian on Family guy admitted he'd licked his share of peanut butter............

  • Poodle bites Poodle Chew....snap it.......comon frenchy....classic !!!!!!

  • grandissimo frank uno dei più grandi innovatori della musica rock e non solo

  • Magic!

  • in what way is getting bitten by a poodle an erotic act? anybody? :)

  • @SupernalOne it's talking about letting a poodle perform oral sex on a woman. gross, but, sadly, not unheard of.

  • @Lillita666

Yah, of course, why didn't I get that - the fact that it's a toy poodle indicates Zappa is deriding the self-entitled conservative neurotic wealthy class -- I've seen this theme in Zap comix: the young hippies would take society back to native good-hearted humane behavior, and the older generation would be chagrined & slink away - only problem is, they didn't listen to Zappa, so they didn't get the message - but: more important, why let a poodle do it when so many guys would :)

  • @Lillita666 its FIGURATIVE, i really dont think........no wait he really DOES mean it that way!!!!! go poodle!go!

  • @SupernalOne It is a well documented fact that poodle bites are one of Americas favorite erotic pleasures.

  • @branscom81203

ha, and there I was trying it with a pit bull

  • WHAT ABOUT GETTING LICKED BY A POODLE

  • @wilxx102938476

    think I'd prefer a bigger dog :)

  • Whip me up some dragon lotion~

  • "not a speck of cereal"

  • Thanks for putting this on YouTube. There are only two other "Dirty Love" videos out there. One had horrible audio quality and the other had a creepy video of a writhing moth caught on flypaper.

  • Tina Turner and the Ikettes doe the background vocals! XD

  • Genius, yes. Want to really mess your parents up? Play this loud like I did some 30+ years ago on my really crappy stereo. Your mom like mine will think your insane!

  • @mgwilliams1000 my parents messed me up by giving me this album on tape :)

  • My girlfriend finds FZ's attitude rather refreshing - at least you know where you stand (or rather, lie down) says her Ladyship.. I'm taking notes

  • i was inspired by this at a very very early age good best stuff still till this day only dwezill Zappa cn compair to wat happend to Moon Zappa??

  • This and Apostrophe are where Frank reached the Zenith of his phenomenal guitar playing and songwriring.
