  • Nice! Eisegesis!! The text in John 17:5 does NOT say, Jesus "Lost" his glory!

  • where can I to buy this video with subtitles in spanush?

  • @jonesfullhouse Doctor David Bernard is obtaining his doctorate in Theology.... Not sure how much more study of the original languages you are looking for

  • 3 persons. The Son had a beginning: Pro 8.22-30 (God has never been without wisdom). The Son is not the Father but is an other self of Him who is the Father (double): Luke 6.12; John 14.9a 'I', 'ME', the Holy Spirit too: Ro 8.27; Jn 14.16 'another'.

3 personnes.

  • I believe in Jesus. He did not lie, not even as you would put it in his 'human nature', Jesus said:

John 17:1-3 'Father...they may know you the ONLY TRUE GOD.'

YHWH, who is the Father , is the ONLY TRUE GOD.

Isa 64:8 Yet, YHWH, you are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.

  • There is no debate. God is a Trinity.

    Oneness is a cult.

  • @joeforHistruth Oness is a cult

  • I am a stern Trinitarian, but I admit the Oneness guy won this debate. The Trinitarian fails to use the key Trinity verses, and he doesn't even give an exegesis on John 1:1, 18. He also should've thoroughly explained Philippians 2:5-7 and John 15:26.

  • " There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. " (Ephesians 4:4-6, NASB)

  • I LOVE BISHOP TROUT!

  • yes Jesus is the Father, there is no doubt

  • 1 John 5:7 - There are three that bear record in heavan, The Father, The Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one, The Word in John chapter 1:1 says that the Word was God. Deut 6:4 God is Lord, Isaiah 43:11 God is Lord, John 20:28 Jesus is Lord, Rev 22:21 Jesus is Lord, ONE LORD, ONE FAITH, ONE BAPTISM, EPHESIANS 4:5

  • that verse would be valid if it weren't a later insertion......that verse didnt appear until the 15th century CE and ALL NT scholars are in agreement concerning that

  • God was and always will be One! One as in One not two of one or One of three but One

  • Mr Bernard gives a complete wrong answer to first question.

Sorry for him, and for people that follow him.

He goes around and around looking how to say what text doesn't say, just to defend his own doctrine. Jesus clearly said he had glory before coming to the world. Is it so complicated to accept for him?

  • Oneness will always stand and Congrats to REV Bernard the newest Presider over the UPCI. GOD BLESS HIM AND MY ONENESS Believers

    Jesus is God Col 2:9!

  • All trinitarians believe Jesus is God. Amen

  • Jesus is the only God

  • @bornest1 Yes, Jesus is God, but Jesus is not the Father nor the Holy Spirit. The text says Jesus is God, not Jesus is Father, Col 2:9 disproves oneness and proves trinity. Read Col 2:2 "that their hearts may be one encouraged, being knit together in love, and attaining to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the knowledge of the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ."

Paul is clearly talking about one God yet two separate persons, not Christ being the Father.

  • He misses the point of John 17:5....Jesus is asking the Father to glorify Him with the glory He had with him before the foundations of the world.....subject object relationships formed and completed on the basis of relationship before the incarnation of Christ ....clear yet rejected and explained away by oneness doctrine....

  • but they don't get it

  • RESPOND TO ALL WHO OPPOSES ONENESS CHURCHES!!

if you willing to quarrel us because of the oneness doctrine you will never fall apart the oneness ever!!

  • praise the Lord! what we have to understand is that oneness is a spirit revelation. (Matt 16:13-17) key verse is 17 for flesh and blood did not reveal it but the spirit of GOD. also please read luke 10:21-22, and how can in isaiah 9:6 the son is called everlasting father? and this scripture in proverbs it is prophecy, prov 30:1-4, col 2:9, read isaiah 45:22-23, phil 2:10 GOD bless and be strong in the lord and the power of his might.

  • @JRPRETTY74 Isaiah 9:6, " Everlasting Father means Father of eternity or more accurately Author of Eternity." The passage isn't referring to the Son as the Father but as the author of eternity and we know that this is Jesus cause in 3:16 it says that through belief in him one has everlasting life. A lot of oneness people misquote this text to prove their teachings but it doesn't.

  • @cubed07 Ok so in light of that, what is the other "father" author of? if Jesus is the "father of eternity", What is the other "father" Author of?

  • @mikezap1800 God the Father is the author of eternity and so is God the Son also the author of eternity. Isaiah 9:6 was simply attributing to the messiah or the Son the same name the Father has to show that the Son is equal to the Father in every aspects in not that the Son is the Fathe but that the Son is God and the Father is God. God the Father is also author over all of creation and so is God the Son John 1:1-7, 1 Cor 8:6. Their is one God, one Father of Eternity who is Father, Son, and HS.

  • @cubed07 And his name is Jesus Christ

  • @mikezap1800 If you mean Jesus Christ is God like the Father is God and not Jesus Christ is the Father than your right otherwise your wrong. Read Genesis chapter 1 creation and ask yourself this, "Who is speaking?" and "Who is accomplishing the creation?" One God, three persons.

  • @cubed07 You deny the very words of Christ words of Christ.. Jesus Christ is the father, son and holy ghost. The bible says God created the heavens and the earth. Since your so hung up with how Jesus is talking with "let us make man in our image", all you have to do is keep reading. I says so god created man in HIS OWN IMAGE, not their own image proving there was not one, not two, not three BUT ONE. There is no scripture anywhere in the bible that says three persons. If you have three persons,

  • @cubed07 you have three gods. Stop coming to your own conclusion about god and stick with what the word says. your using inferences. You can read where David was speaking to his soul, Can i come to the conclusion that Davids soul is distinct from him? I can read where god repented of evil, could i come to the conclusion that god has evil in him? Find me ONE SCRIPTURE where it says there are three distinct persons, PLEASE FIND IT. Stop reading BETWEEN the lines and read ON the lines and find it.

  • @mikezap1800 Your confusing being and person, they are not the same thing. God is one as in one being but that being is composed of three persons. Let me put to you this way, wherever the Holy Spirit is there's God, where the Son is God is there also, notice why Jesus is called Immanuel or "God with us", and also where the Father is so is God. Their is one creator, God yet for whatever reason the Bible states that both the Father and the Son were involved in creation, I Cor 8:6.

  • @cubed07 I can read where Jesus is called the father, the son and the holy ghost. I don't have to come to my own conclusion, I can just READ IT.

  • @mikezap1800 Show me where Jesus is called the father or the holy ghost for I will show you that the Bible doesn't. Is 9:6 doesn't prove that the Son is the Father.

  • @cubed07 John 14:9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath SEEN ME HATH SEEN THE FATHER ,John 14:17 Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: BUT YE KNOW HIM; FOR HE DWELLETH WITH YOU, and shall be in you. obviously Jesus was claiming to be the holy spirit. John 14:18 I will not leave you comfortless: I WILL COME TO YOU.

  • @cubed07 And also how is the son and the father "fathers" of eternity? We have two fathers now? And wouldn't that make the father a grandfather? And you didn't even mention the holy spirit, if the father and son are authors of eternity so is the holy spirit because they're "coequal". Now according to you trinity doctrine we have three fathers now. I am seriously asking you to answer these questions.

  • @mikezap1800 Again fathers in this context is referring to authors, not 2 Heavenly Fathers. The proper meaning of the word means author of eternity which both the Father and Son are both. Think of the founding fathers of the constitution and the DOI. They are called the founding fathers because they are AUTHORS of both documents. However since in the Bible their is one God, their is only one author of eternity who is Father, Son, and HS.

  • @cubed07 Now tell me the name of this one God who is father son and holy spirit

  • @mikezap1800 Mat 28:19.....and baptize them in the name of the "Father, Son, and Holy Spirit."

  • @cubed07 Ok. What was the singular name he was talking about?

  • @mikezap1800 The singular name was God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. The Father is God, the Son Jesus Christ is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. Not three gods, but three personalities all under one name, God.

  • @cubed07 God is not a name, neither is son, or holy spirit. acts 4:12 states Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is NONE OTHER NAME under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved (Jesus). When you pray you don't say in the name of God, when the apostles cast out devils they didn't say in the name of God. acts 3:17 states that: Whatsoever ye do in WORD OR DEED do all in the name of JESUS CHRIST. Now in light of this, what was the singular name he was talking about?

  • @mikezap1800 The Bible says otherwise, you can't just quote a verse here and there and say that's it for you don't even understand the context in which the verses are stated nor do you understand whose behind salvation. Is 43:11 "I even I'm the Lord and beside's me is no Savior." than read the rest of chapter 43. Also ask yourself before the Son took on flesh how was Abraham saved according to James 2:23. God has always been the Creator and Savior

  • @mikezap1800 You should know that the name of God is Yahweh or "I am" and the name of Jesus is Yeshua which translates to "God who saves." Also you ignore the power of the Holy Spirit working through Christ. When the Pharisees accused Jesus, who just healed a deaf mute demonized person, that Jesus uses the devil. Jesus clearly explains that it was the work of the Holy Spirit who is a person because Jesus said that they blasphemed the Holy Spirit.

  • @cubed07 You have sidestepped my question. God is not a name, Son is not a name, neither is holy ghost. And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be ONE LORD, AND HIS NAME ONE. Once again Colossians 3:17. states WHATSOEVER YE DO IN WORD OR DEED DO ALL IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. This INCLUDES BAPTISM. Now im asking you to answer my question once again what is this name?

  • @mikezap1800 I haven't sidestepped your question, I answered with greater detail than necessary, you just don't like the answer yet you keep single quoting verses out of context, why do you leave out "and give thanks to God the Father through Him", read all of chpt 3. Also God name is Yahweh and Yeshua or Jesus translates to "God who saves." You can ignore and substitute Jesus into Mat 28:19 but than your saying Jesus is the Father yet the Father sent Jesus, so I guess the Father sent Himself.

  • @mikezap1800 Romans chapter 8 read all of it, in verse 11 the HS rose Christ from the dead. Romans 6:4 through the glory of the Father Christ rose from the dead. Do you get the point, all three persons rose Christ from dead including Christ Himself. Yet in Acts 4:10 it's God who rose Christ from the dead. If one God did this and if all three persons also rose Christ from the dead according to the Bible than the three persons are the one God an thus the name of God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit

  • @mikezap1800 Romans 1:16 "...for it is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes..." When we invoke the name of Jesus, the demons tremble, miracles happen, and the glory of God is immediately manifested. God is working through the three persons, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Also if you don't know the Son is the same person as Jesus Christ.

  • @cubed07 And what was the subject of Romans 1:16?..... THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST. For IT (the gospel of Christ) is the power of God unto salvation for everyone who believes. Believes what? THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST

  • @mikezap1800 The Gospel of Christ which is the POWER OF GOD unto salvation. God has always been the power behind salvation. When Jesus did anything, He always did the will of the Father, never of His own. Now in Matt 28:19, since Yeshua and Yahweh are both names of God and describe God who is the creator of all thing and God who is Savior of all and God who is Spirit. You can translate Matt 28:19 to say, "in the name of God who creates, God who saves, and God who is Spirit.

  • @mikezap1800 Or a better translation yet is in the name of Father whom we belong to , in the name of the Son (Jesus Christ) who saved us, and in the name of the Holy Spirit that dwells in us. You need to look beyond interpretating a few verse in a narrow subjective viewpoint to see the bigger picture of God who did everything working through the three persons; the Father, Son, and HS.

  • @cubed07 please excuse my typos

  • @JRPRETTY74 Matt 16:17 shows that Jesus is distinct from the Father, not that he is the Father. Jesus was saying "flesh and blood" as referring to his flesh and his blood not revealing this truth to Simon but only His Father who is in heaven. I'm sorry but this verse doesn't prove Jesus is the Father. In Luke 10:21-22 notice it talks about one knowing the other, only the Father knows who the Son is and only the Son know whose the Father, this is clearly 2 out of 3 distinct persons yet one God

  • Jesus is God, Jesus is the Holy Spirit, there is only one that sits on the throne... and his name is Jesus

  • Davertin :) I love you and God loves you, but what you said confused me so much

  • the moderator says "don't come up here all emotional." i laugh at first because i can relate... when God first revealed to me that Jesus Christ is the same I AM of the Old Testament, it was a seriously emotional epiphany that lasted like 5 hours... so i thank the Lord Jesus!! Thank You, Jesus. so, i can definitely relate on being emotional when God convicts you of His awesome truth.

    Mark 1:14-15.

  • If you deny the distinct, unique, personal identity of Jesus Christ within the Godhead by saying He was only the Father with a flesh mask on, you are of the spirit of Anti-Christ.

...All should honor the Son just as they honor the Father. He who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent Him.

    John 5:23

Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

    1 John 2:23

  • Matthew declares in the first chapter of his Gospel that the Holy Ghost impregnated Mary. So when Jesus is referring to the Father who is exactly is He referring to: God the Father or God the Holy Spirit. Using basic deduction skills this account of the virigin birth leads me to believe that there can only be two persons in the Godhead. If you reduce it to two you might as well go all the way to One (John 10:30).
