Andrew Kassis plays moonlight sonata 3rd movement- Beethoven

Hey mate. I've been learning this for a couple of days and it's so difficult! Is it one of those pieces, where if you catch the first page, the rest is much easier?

@Tilan123 Thanks! yeah, we can tell that, the first page will be very difficult but after it'll become very easier, but there are parts where it changes and they're harder... But don't worry, just practice and you'll be able to play it :)

@ThePianistop66 Thanks for the reply! I'm at the first page, and I CAN do the right hand but not at the presto agitato speed. Did it take a while to get your speed with the right hand? Or are you just a natural?

@Tilan123 You're welcome! No, it didn't take me a lot of time, but if you have problems with the speed, keep practicing slowly. Try also practicing in staccato. It helps a lot.

great job, your timing and expression is done very nicely. I'm 16 now but I attempted this song at age 15 and didn't bother going past the first two pages. I'm working on the first movement of pathetique sonata instead

@nosekta1234 Thanks! This masterpiece is really hard to learn but you didn't have to stop learning it! It take time, but one day you will finish it! I love the pathetique sonata :D When you finish it, you should upload it!

yo! I'm the guy (Samuel Côté) you met at the piano competition today! (29th of january 2011). I think u play the 3rd movement of this beautiful sonata really greatly, sincerly! This may be not perfect, but I think it's really good anyways!. I didn't know u were actually doing this piece, but what I find funny's that I'm learning it now :P so l may listen to your interpretation of it to make it better :) Btw, u should listen Valentina Lisitsa's interpretation of this piece, it's very amazing!

@PjGalapatz The only tip that I can give you is: practice a lot and slowly. Also, you can do Czerny's exercises.

You did many things well. At times you accelerated too much so that you lost control. My teacher always says that control and good melody sounds much better than crappy speed. Another thing that I believe would have made the piece a great deal better is more emotion/passion (esp. at the end) However, you did a great job and as you play longer and your skills develop then this piece will also improve!

Just sad that it's interpreted on a "flat piano" which reduce the expression capacity.

Every notes are very loud.

This masterpiece should be played on a "piano à queue".

Anyway, great job.
