The world needs to find ways to REDUCE this junk not turn it into pollution by incinerating it!! Swapping dumping in landfill for dumping in the atmosphere is not dealing with the problem! Its still using the environment as a dump. There is no 'safe' level of dioxins especially at the 1 & 2 nanometre size besides these aren't ever regulated for because they can't be filtered!

Reduce! Repair, Re-USE, Recycle! Almost 100% of waste can be recycled by using a mix of the approaches above.

oh and 'Regulate'... which means governments have to start to tackle the corporations about their packaging & 'growth' based on waste.

With 6billion+ people on this planet we need ways to make goods LAST & be 100% recyclable as well as energy efficient (to produce, use and recycle)! That way maybe more people could enjoy a decent standard of living without it costing 4 Earths worth of resources! We can't keep taking from the Earth without giving back anything except pollution & toxins.

Garbage and Mexico have a strange relationship, because littering is a way of life. As a culture Mexico has a serious problem with dealing with refuse.

The air in Mexico City is the worst I have ever breathed, and I've been to a fair amount of third world megalopolises. I don't see how people live there.
