  • nice ride looks like it has a lot of airtime

  • @KARLsickassdudeDALE Not really , its more ruff then it is smooth.

Id just say if you don't like ride that will shake you alot.

    I wouldn't ride this.

But its very fun just very ruff.

  • @AbbeyIsDreaming well he never said anything about it being smooth or rough. He just said it looked nice and that it had good airtime. While yes, you are right and magnum is a little rough, you cant deny it has very good airtime....

  • Awww, i wish it ran with no trim breaks every time i rode it...

  • 0:16 is so scary!

  • @tslabjr7 Stop running your damn mouth. I don't want to have to read four different posts just so you can get your point across. If you think that comparing Arrow Dynamics to a bunch of modern companies will prove your point, you are sadly mistaken. You seem to forget that Arrow Dynamics was around way before every single company you mentioned. Arrow Dynamics was founded in 1946 while the following Intamin AG was founded in 1967...

  • Comment removed

  • @tslabjr7 ...Arrow Dynamics is the company that invented the Log Flume as well. As a matter of fact they have installed over 70 Log Flumes at parks around the world. And Arrow Dynamics is also the company that invented the Mine Train. They also invented the Corkscrew, the Batwing or Kamikaze Curve, and the first teardrop shaped vertical loop. Arrow Dynamics also built the first coaster with 7 inversions, invented the world's first suspended coaster, and invented the 4th Dimension coaster...

  • @tslabjr7 ...And I love how you mentioned S&S Power as being superior in comparison to Arrow Dynamics. S&S Power bought Arrow Dynamics and they are continuing to manufacture Arrow Dynamics latest creation, the 4th Dimension coaster. You might think that is a sign of dominance, but I see it as a compliment to Arrow. S&S may not manufacture the old arrow creations anymore, but the legacy lives on through a newer company...

  • @tslabjr7 ...I forgot to mention that Arrow also built the first roller coaster in the World to exceed 200ft, Magnum XL 200. My point is, you should do your research before you blabber that big mouth of yours. Oh and look I have made 5 posts in a row, I guess it's okay to post this much if I actually have straight up facts to express to an ignorant person...

  • @tslabjr7 ...Now to finish this up. While there are many other manufacturers that have recently out shined Arrow Dynamics with their modern creations, there is no denying that Arrow Dynamics are the forefathers of roller coaster manufacturing. For you to not recognize this is embarrassing on your behalf. Like I said in my last post, you should do your research before you talk. I just out shined you with facts, you are the Arrow Dynamics of this argument. Goodbye.

  • @tslabjr7 I just stated a bunch of facts, you didn't, end of discussion. Grow up.

  • @tslabjr7 Millennium Force might be more "popular," but it also cannot handle the capacity that Magnum can, which is why Magnum still often has a higher ridership number. Magnum is more than 20 years old and was not built with computers. It's really a marvel, the last of the hand-designed, hand-built generation. Wow. Do you really believe Arrow's one remaining roller coaster at Geauga Lake led to its demise? You must be young. Villain and RWB were also demolished, by the way.

  • Comment removed

  • @tslabjr7 Magnum has three trains. It's undeniable that Magnum has higher capacity. Look it up. It can take more people by the hundreds, and the total dispatch time is much lower than that of Millennium's. Suitable for whom, some kid who apparently thinks Steel Force is longer than The Beast? Two Morgan coasters had wheel derailment issues. I'm not impressed. I don't care what others like or dislike better; there is a population that loves Magnum just as it is.

  • @jumpbacktome but that population is a minority

  • @tslabjr7 Tell that to the 2+ million riders Magnum gets per year.

  • 0:22 - 1:09 Checked my Facebook during this period

  • @seabase1000 Lol dude so did I

  • 1:40 someones got a defect with their voice

  • good fun ride!

  • One of my very favorites at Cedar Point!! the only coaster at Cedar Point I like more is Top Thrill Dragster. the bunny hops from 1:45 to 2:07 are AMAZING, the airtime is ridiculous!!

  • Ah! The sound of Joy!

  • i use to go to Ceder Point every single year from when I was a baby, until till now. I use to ride the Kidd rides, man those were the days!

  • I remember actually going on this for the first time when I was 9 years old. I went on it with my mom, and I started crying going up the hill.

  • I remember when they first built this ride back in 91! It was the ride everyone had to go on at night, just as the park would close. Minutes before the park closed, everyone always would run over to the Magnum XL200, and get in line. Because if you were inline when the park closed, you were still able to finish waiting in line, and ride the coaster. We would always stay in the ceder point hotel, located just outside of the magnum.

  • it looks so beautiful with the sun setting.

  • I love this ride at Cedar Point. One of my favorites.

  • I was waiting in line ready to go on right out side the station, and it started to rain, we waited a couple of hours standing in that one spot. All through out that time I watched the TTD do a rollback (that was so cool.) When the track finished drying we went on with just a t-shirt and it was so cold, but so fun. Cedar Point, you are the best park ever and never forget that!

  • Jeez is somebody dying?

  • Shut the fuck up. Lol

  • I want to go there so bad because of the extreme rides and if I do not go in my life time I will swear like a sailor

  • The last bunny hops on the ride are incredibly painful for us riders over 6'. Please change this ASAP.

  • My favorite roller coaster.

  • I <3 Cedar Point!

  • Magnum was one of my favorite rides there for many years but I don't think that it has aged well. The last time I rode it, the transitions were very brutal.

  • Tis was the first video in youtube I had ever seen tat was posted less than a week ago!

  • Is it me? Or did the track used to be blue?

  • @Eck887 no never was

  • Was the microphone mounted inside a tin can?

  • @TopThrillDan the reason it sounds like that is because it is going 72 miles per hour and its just a little thing mounted onto the car. what to you expect?!?!

  • @tzbx6dch Well I think point of views in the past had better sound.

  • This was an amazing coaster

  • Ouch, ouch, ouch... at 1:45, 1:48, 1:53... Exhilarating but painful ride. Hope that trains are someday redesigned with non-ratcheting lap bars.

  • @ajputman it dosnt hurt!! what r u talking about. i went on it and i was fine

  • It does not look as bumpy as when I rode it

  • I remember the first time I went on this with my sister, we got held up at the trim brakes at the end because there was this girl who wasn't allowed the coaster because she was too big. And leave it up to my sister to lean over towards me and ask "Will she fit?..." in front of everyone. I had never laughed so hard in my life. xD

  • i have a question about trim brakes..what are they for and who do they improve or not a ride does it go faster if theres none or something idk

  • @taytaybunni from what I know, they slow down a train through certain parts, the reasons im assuming so that the train doesnt hit certain parts going to fast or what not.

  • sumtimes i wish i could talk to roller coasters.........ik im a wierdo

  • No trim brakes this run. Would of been a real fun ride.

  • the one dislike must be from dragster knowing it isn't as cool as the magnum

  • I first rode this ride back in 1999 when I was 8 and I wasn't tall enough to ride so I had to put stuff in my shoes to make me tall enough. lol. I'll never forget that :) I have so many great Cedar Point memories as a kid and now.

  • i love cedar point cant wait till next year!

  • 0:15 It pisses me off when people always scream at this part.

  • I was waiting for this, just made my day.

  • What camera did they use to film this does anyone know? Thanks.

  • @CycleMan2200 they normally used Contour cams...but im assuming they switched to GoPros

  • This ride hurts my thighs. I usually have to skip it for the sake of the rest of the day to be enjoyable.

  • lol more povs

  • FINALLY! NEW POV'S!

  • this is my all time favorite ride ever! i don't care how big the top thrill dragster or millenium are. i don't care that the maverick has some awesome loops and twirls, magnum is a classic and it's my fav<3

  • its my favorite ride there, plenty of air time!!

  • This rides SUCKS if you sit in the back. EVERYONE loves to spit and throw shit at the people in the back. They need to arrest them but they dont.. They even say its "Okay to throw stuff off the ride"

  • @ExtreamThrills

I've ridden in the back numerous times. Never had any of this happen to me.

  • @ExtreamThrills

The only acceptable thing to throw on a roller coaster is up.

    X3

  • You can clearly see that it's sinking at 1:34

  • still one of the greats

  • I wansnt able to go to Cedar Point this year :( but mark my words! i am determined to not be broke and busy when its coaster season again!

  • One of my favorite rides at Cedar Point.

  • It sounds like its full of babies

  • @cheeseburger720 no. thats excitement lol

  • heh, the rider's reactions somehow remind me of the RCT series when I'd re-create Magnum over and over again and guests would love it so much.. heh, good memories.

  • I love this ride you need to do a video of every coaster

  • Comment removed

  • It is amazing the memories this video brings back. Spring of 1993. Lets see some warm J. Ruppert's , McDonalds breakfast, driving fast in a little Ford Escort to Cedar Point and sitting in the front right seat of the Magnum..Well lets say everyone who sat behind me will never forget that day...

  • My first time on this ride, in grade school, we get to the top of the hill and my friend Taylor says "Is this a bad time to tell you I'm afraid of heights?"

  • Did Magnum get a new chain or motor in recent weeks? It was closed the Friday before closing weekend, when we came back for closing weekend, the train went up the hill much faster.

  • @MrPrawoJazdy RIGHT LOOK HOW FAST IT WENT UP

  • Thanks so much for posting this! I remember riding this my first time at night..pretty scary for being a little nine year old

  • Hey, no video photography allowed.. lucky they did catch you :D

  • @Jmarksberry1 This is cedar point's official channel, this video was filmed during testing on the on-board camera.

  • @Jmarksberry1 ok nvrmnd about the testing part, but it's filmed with the on-board camera.

  • 1:32 I heard no noise, trim brakes must've been off.

  • click click click!! what a nice sound, too bad its over till next yr!!

  • 0:22-1:09

    I love that sound.

  • @whitewolf323 OOOOOAHHHHH.

    I love that sound.

  • @whitewolf323 0:00 - 2:42 I love THAT sound.

  • @whitewolf323 It's the sound of summer and the sound of memories. <3

  • @whitewolf323 me too!
