I adore hearing her sing this song. But I have to listen to it while I'm not actually looking at the video--her humongous boobs are too damn distracting. You want to look away, but you just can't.
Who cares if it's Christmas or Xmas...same thing. Xmas is just an abbreviated version. Means the same thing, and everyone knows that Dolly believes in God. She's the best :)))
Dolly I think you are wonderful.... I know that your gift comes from above, and I thank Jesus you use it for Gods Glory...!!! My Pray is one day I will get to meet you in person... ;-p
By the way, I met Dolly at BMI in Nashville a few years back. She is such a kind and genuine person. She is the real deal. Like the song says, "Go Tell It On The Mountain" that Jesus Christ is born. Go tell it on the internet and every other outlet, too. Same thing. Have a wonderful and blessed day, my friend.
I just love this, Dolly is simply amazing in every possible way! nthanks so much for sharing i feel really Christmassy now! :D I want to go tell it on a mountian that Jesus Christ is born now!
Why are you "x"ing Christ out of Christmas? It really should read "Christmas." I never liked when people used the xmas shortcut. It would be like "x"ing Dolly out of Dollywood. Just an analogy. Xwood? Just a thought. Love Dolly and this awesome song.
@GreatestSingerEver01 I agree with you, but the reason people starting saying xmas was because x in greek means chi which was used in early Greek versions of the Bible as an abbreviation for Christ. It has been in use since the 13th Century. So, XMas is Christmas. I still don't think it looks right though. Just thought i should share that information!
The "-mas" part is from the Latin-derived Old English word for "Mass", while the "X" comes from the Greek letter Chi, which is the first letter of the Greek word Χριστός, translated as "Christ".
There is a common misconception that the word Xmas is a secular attempt to remove the religious tradition from Christmas by taking the "Christ" out of "Christmas".
Not to be racist, but I found it funny how all the white people started clapping on the normal beat, while all the blacks clapped on the off-beat. How's that for stereotypes :P
