  • Sidebar ads are generally posted as text widgets. You can remove them by logging into your wp-admin and clicking on Appearance->Widgets on the left sidebar. Once there, drag the ads you want to remove off of the right sidebar to deactivate them.

  • Again, you just can't copy text and images from merchant's site. It is BAD for everyone you, merchant, Google and customers.

  • Well, people are having problems with both programs making ads. This is a serious issue that makes me question if I have wasted time with these products.

Someone from Market Samurai needs to step up, and make another video that addresses all the issues we are having here.

  • FOR WHOM IT MAY CONCERN, Adding your WordPressDirect account to Market Samurai!

Account Name: (this is anything you want it to be. this is entirely unrelated to wordpress, it is for use within Market Samurai only, make something up)

Username: The email that you log in to Word Press Direct with.

Password: The password that you log in to Word Press Direct with.

    I hope this helps.

  • Wrodpress Direct hasn't responded to my ticket. I'm at an impasse until they do. 30 day challenge should have an alternate site tool, since Wordpress seems to have such crap service.

I haven't been able to log into my site. Then when I went to post an ad, I got this message - XML-RPC API not enabled. Go to the settings page for your blog to do so

So I go to log in and guess what...can't. I am logged into the control panel, and I changed my user name and pass, but it won't let me in.

  • Alright I tried following Market Samurai's instructions and things got worse. Good news though, I have figured it out. Here is how to do it. Create you new ad, then from monetization publish copy screen under sidebar options you will see widget, click the drop down arrow and you get the option to replace the widget you originally created, click on the ad and hit publish or if you want to DELETE it select the widget you want to replace and click the X button immediately to the right. It works.

  • That works great! Thanks for help.

  • Don't see a drop down arrow.

  • Ok, I was having the same problem and have emailed Market Samurai here is their reply.

If you try to republish your ad through Market Samurai it will change it to the new version.

If you wish to delete the ad, you can go to 'publish' in the monetization module, then select the site and click 'Clear existing sale offer'.

  • I am also having trouble deleting an ad. I put it in twice to try to get it to look nice, but now can't get rid of either of them. I have tried to delete the project and then restart Samurai, but this did not work. How can I delete the ad through wordpress or samurai?

  • has any body figured out what to use for the account name? And if there was a video showing us how to do it what is the video number was it? (like day 1 video). Thanks

  • It's your e-mail address that you used when you registered.

  • Well, I wasn't able to publsh my ad.... Anybody any tips appart from good old HTML coding?

  • Thanks Brent - this is just an amazing benefit of Market Samurai!

Can this be published direct to a Wordpress blog or does it have to go via Wordpress Direct?

    Thanks - Dave

  • LoveWordpress I'd like to have an answer to this too. Thanks to whoever knows and the how would be helpful too. A newbie here.

  • More question - Does this means we can only show 1 ad on banner, 1 ad in blogger.....if we publish more ads.........where will they appear? Stupid question could be...........but I was just wondering if we use a 2 column template we'll run out of space!

  • Is anyone else having trouble opening the Monetization application? I've tried several times and given it up to half and hour to open and nothing happens - sign says "Please Wait, Loading Monetization." I've had it open before. I have the paid version

  • try starting the project over...I had the same problem. This seemed to fix it

  • Thanks GroundCrew3 that did it.

  • glad to be of help

  • Yes sometimes I have that problem but that is 'cos I have internet speed connection problem in Italy.

  • I created an ad and put it on my blog, but it is not formatted correctly! Is there a way to correct it or a way to delete the ad before I start to promote with traffic bug?

I don't want to promote a site that looks crappy!

  • Yeah...my ad looks funny too

  • you can go into Market Samurai and use the "clear existing sales offer"- "return to start" and then edit the add. I got mine looking better by aligning it left, adding, changing, and removing some words. I re-sized my image and button as well. I just kept repeating the process until I was satisfied. It seems you can clear an existing sales offer, edit, and republish as many times as you want. I must of did this 20 or more times over. Hope that helps you!

  • Do you know how to delete an ad on your blog? I created mine but the links are not working and I am desperate to remove it. Submitted tickets to both Market Samurai and WPD waiting for answer......but figure someone here may know and it will be faster. Especially when my ad doesn't work!!

  • jpondry, Go into WordPerfect Direct - if that is what you are using - and delete it from there. I've done mine over three times so far today and am about to do so again :)

  • I did truthseeker1943 but it didn't work. I also deleted the links from WP control panel 'cos my orginal blog was from WordPress. Org. I think I will try republishing and see whether it gets replaced.

  • jpondry, Did you ever figure out how to delte an ad? I realized why it worked for me was that the ones that were deleted I had put in as posts - that's why I wasable to delete them. Now I need to delete a widget sidebar one and can't figure it out either.

I have done two ads on one post - one I created in Samurai but made up from scratch.

  • Truthseeker1943 I have completely given up on placing ads with Market Samurai, I use good old fashion HTML coding now - which I am more familiar. I wasn't able to publish or delete properly. When I got it published, I can't delete. There's a button on the last step for publishing ad on Market Samurai which is suppose to allow you to clear all ads. I did that about 20x. It didn't work. I went in to WPD and WP it didn't work. Somethings may just be better if we stick to what we know....LOL

  • I followed these steps exactly, but no ad appears on my WPD blog???

  • .......

  • Market Samurai guys...it would be nice to save at least one version of an ad. I just clicked "Return To Start" on because of a momentary brain dysfunction, and lost 20 minutes of copywriting.

  • My problem is finding the products on the actual site - clickbank and Paydot to apply for approval to sell it. Found products on monetizaton - went to affiliate sites but CAN'T find those products!! Market Samurai you should give us a link to those products directly. Am I missing a step here somewhere???

  • To sell clickbank stuff you don't apply anywhere. After signing up to clickbank you go to the marketplace, find the product and "create hoplink." That;' s it, you're good to go.

  • ok figured it out. for anyone else struggling with it, your username is probably 'admin' and your password is in your WP direct settings page.

this confused me because i tried using my email and password used to log into word press, my hosting site, etc. this video should go through these steps to add a WP blog to market samurai rather than having them already in there in the example!

  • Comment removed

  • thats bobby - but what about the account name? I cannot find that anywhere in wordpress?

  • unfortunately you skipped the part where you add your WP account information in that drop down menu, every time I add my info it says 'incorrect username name or password'.

  • Good comment bangerca,

No publisher will accept whole pieces of their copy being copy & pasted.

However a SMALL segment as Brent demonstrated is fine.

    Caro :-)

  • Wow, that looks great and so simple. You really have made things super easy!

  • As a newbie in all this, I'm a bit "confused". Is it ok to "steal" content from the website from the ppl whom you're a affiliate off?

Also, this is all nice and cool stuff, but are there lessons on how to do all this without Marker Samurai??

  • A word of warning.

Make sure that you have the publisher's permission before you start copying content from the site.

Most are fine with it as long as you don't copy the whole sales page, but some do object.

  • When setting up a wordpress direct account to publish to: Is the account name the url or blog title? Is the username and pw the wordpress or ftp? I can't get any to work and would appreciate and guidance. Thanks,

  • great feature. Anyone know how to edit an ad posted using Market Samurai? I can't figure it out. thanks!

  • Great video really col feature. Took me a little while to get happy with a published version but it is a great time saver, very innovative. thanks guys.

  • how do i put a video in, instead of a image?

  • In a regular WordPress entry there's a button to Add Media, one of the options of which is video, that will inset it into your post. I would imagine WPDirect has that button as well.

Keep in mind that videos aren't generally searchable content so you'll still need to add text in order for the bots to find your content.

  • this feature is so cool!
