no my friend voevoda killed brzenk in 2004 brzenk use a cheap tactic to win voevoda in 2004 he grip his fingers and pull then voevoda slipped you can see it in slow emotion and dont get the age as an excuse ]john's fans and even john himself said his best shape was in 2006 when he weighted 235lbs and even that john had a lose against farid when voevoda 2004 never lost to anybody the whole year and won every tour he entered maybe john got a chance but you will not know unless they pull
@q8altair12 NO way. Brzenk was attacked hard by his opposition, and suffered for it when it came time to face Voevoda in the finals. Brzenk gave up 60 pounds at least to Voevoda. Many opponents laid down to Voevoda in the qualifiers, just like they do now for Cyplenkov. That's why Puskar is number 1, he doesn't get the free passes like Cyplenkov. Voevoda wanted nothing to do with Brzenk after Zloty 04, he was scared to shatter the myth.
no denis get beat from michael todd and hardly win against pushkar but unlike voevoda this doesnt happen to him like he win easy with no swit and john maybe over wieghted by voevoda but there is no reason why john couldnt hit the gym and get heavy and stronger every body can so thats not an excuse alexey was too strong 4 every one and he get out not becuz he was afraid from brzenk thats a lie he get out for his own reasons proof it or dont talk bull shit my good friend
@q8altair12 Voevoda is huge compared to John even with weights. Personally I think Voevoda accomplished what he set out to do and didn't want to bother with the sport any longer. I don't blame him. Until this becomes an olympic sport, these athletes will not get the funding they need to live and train like is necessary. I'm not really talking shit, I just feel there is more competition now, and Voevoda, however great, realized he had his window to shine and people passed him.
i agree but people passed him? i dont think so his power and his shape was legendary i think no body will come with that reat charisma and power house like voevoda his one of a kind arm wrestler!!!
@q8altair12 I'll give you that. He is what the sport needed, and was an international star. Nobody has captured the fans imagination like him. Even before I started loving armwrestling, as young man I heard about an amazing athlete coming to the Canada to the Ottawa Nationals back in 03. I just read that following his surgery, and his commitment to the bobsleigh team, he plans to compete again. So he can be expect back in 2014-15 onwards. If that's the case, I will stop being bitter he left!
I'm not sure why everyone goes on and on about Voevoda. Both Brzenk and Cyplenkov have won more Nemiroff tournaments then Voevoda. Lets move on.
