You are right to pick up on the feelings between people... but your approaching it backwards.

The scriptural understanding of male and female is that both male and female was made in the image of God. God is neither male nor female. The fact that we are created as male and female is a great and mysterious metaphor for the intense intimacy that God longs to have with all mankind.

Thats why you have 'the bride of Christ' many times in the NT, it talks about the end of days as being a wedding

You are right! Many times in the New Testament, it refers to marriage as a representation of our relationship with Jesus..Check it out...

The entire section of Ephesians 5:22-33, constantly goes back and forth, stating things wives and husbands should do for each other, then comparing it with Christ and the church...we made this video to show a piece of that. This video is ridiculous. Are we supposed to have God be our boyfriend before we can date others?

Thats unbiblical and gross, and thats the way a lot of people, especially girls take these kind of songs, like my ex-girlfriend who broke up with me becuase of songs like this.

Our version of what a boyfriend and girlfriend is in this world is not how it is in God's kingdom. God is not our boyfriend/girlfriend...you're right that is gross to think about it terms of what that means in our world. Instead, this video portrays and expresses the love and bond that God desires with us. Check out Rev. 19:7, it talks about God's people, (everyone) being the bride and Jesus being the lamb. God's love and adoration for us. That is the kind of love this song is talking about.

Sorry guys...but what is the meaning of the song? It talks about looking for the one, then God. So is it saying that in order for you to find the One, you must be focused on God...making him your first priority in everything?

Well for me it means that the greatest love of all is from God. Sometimes we focus to much on finding the right person to love us that we forget that there is a greater love out there waiting for us. God's love will always be there for us. I personally think if you make God your first priority that people will notice that and perhaps the right person for you will notice it as well but thats what I believe. This song doesn't mention anything about "finding the right one" guys!!! The song is describing the way the presence of the lord is all around us and how it engulfs our lives if we allow it. The words of this song reflect the feelings of a person that is truly "in love with" GOD. Just like a husband and wife feel awesome in the love of their spouse, WE should feel awesome in the love and the holy spirit that Jehovah has left us. The song talks of worship, God's love, and how we should feel

I agree this song is about God's never ending love for us and how he has tried to woo us since the beginning of time. If you think about it everything that we enjoy was created by God SPECIFICALLY for us. To think that God loves us that much, that will make you cry.
