No one's unsure of sex sells in videos. Of course it does. If I remember correctly, though, when this video came out, a lot of people were making a big deal out of it because it was a little over the top.

Also, I would definitely agree with you about them being hypocritical if that were the case, but really, do you think the "Dirty" video is anything like any of T & S's videos at all? Regardless of whether an artist plans for it or not, video can kill the radio star or give it a career. What upsets a lot of people is the delibrate use of artist's image to get fans and gain popularity.
