TO all basterds pure vegitarians, just think if v non vegitarians dont eat animals birds fish than this world will be full of birds, pigs, cows ,bulls, goats ,fish because they production multiplication capacity is more than humans, then wher will you vegitarians will go what will you eat this birds and animals will eat your whole farm all grains,,,,,,,it is foolish to blame non-veg which u vegi basterds will nevr understand because of us world is moving in balance, dont b sentimatal fools
@dmsf123 we MAKE them produce much more often then they normally would, besides that we could let nature play it's normal course and not have to brutalize these animals because we can. we have the brains to realize that very concept of killing and unnecessary suffering is against morality and the brains and the bodies to live and survive a very healthy life through a vegetarian or vegan diet. please don't limit yourself with quick conclusions like this, there is so much more to it.
Plants can feel pain but can also feel love :-) Actually, if treated with love and respect, they will bear the most amazing fruit, for us to eat. They do not mind being eaten, it is a pure intention... they do mind being destroyed with malicious intent. Animals would not mind being eaten either if they were treated with love, respect and compassion. If we were all to raise, our own animals, love and respect them and kill them ourselves, I wonder how many would still eat meat? We're disconnected!
@suesmovies Plenty of people, i know a guy who has "Meat cravings" where he just has to have meat and nothing else. Humans are omnivores by nature, we consume both forms of life for ourselves. Just because we grow an attachment to something, doesn't mean we won't eat it's brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers etc. Food is food to many people, be it plant or not.
@Moongem6 You made two comments at me, one of which is a pathetic flame which made me laugh. And this one is a reply to a comment not even made at you. Since when did "Moongem6" turn into "suesmovies"? It's all attachment. Nothing more, the only thing stopping people from eating their pets is the love for that specific one. I know people who have dogs, and have eaten dog. But would never eat their own. Yes moongem, the stupidity you give is pretty bad. Then again you just want attention.
Also again, i'm not manipulating anything. I'm saying words, if you don't understand the words i suggest you pick up a dictionary, because they aren't that big or hard to understand. The circle of life, is to kill to survive. All life does it, no exceptions. My food feels pain regardless of it being plant or meat, this is a fact. So unless i'm eating rocks, i shouldn't give a damn. And i can send you the link to where this information of plants feeling pain began. Logic only supports.
@narutardtedr To top it all off, did you really say that the fact "pain is a signal that something is wrong" originated from biology? you really are a tool. Next time trying using a source a little more up to date than 2005.
@Moongem6 I said pain is a systematic REACTION, and if you were to do your research you see anything you feel is a signal. It's the nervs in your skin sending electrical signals to the brain telling you to feel it and the sensation to feel. This is covered in basic biology i still have the first biology books i had from when i started biology. It's covered.
If I didn't know what pain was, I wouldn't be arguing against it , idiot. Just because plants respond to tissue damage does not mean they feel pain. No one asked you to explain the system of a plant, I'm asking you to show some credible sources that explain that prove plants feel pain, without any space for argument. You won't find one, instead, you will continue to try and manipulate words and put words in my mouth. If you don't sympathise pain, I'm wasting my time, go see a psychiatrist.
@Moongem6 You said plants don't have a brain or nervous system, that is what i explained. I thus proved you wrong in that department. If plants respond to tissue damage, that means they must feel, if they feel, there must be a brain to register the sensation and tell them about it. Since they send out warning signals and cries for help (you can google that yourself), they must obviously feel pain. By logical standings they have no choice but to feel pain. That is life, deal with it.
@narutardtedr I find it hilarious that the reason you won't show your source is because you directly copied and pasted it without even bothering to credit the source. I would be embarrassed as well if I directly copy and paste anything I find which supports what I'm saying in an attempt to sound intelligent without even fully understanding anything about the source or what is what is being said in details. On top of that, you go on to assume that I don't understand it. (CONTINUED)
@Moongem6 Didn't i just say i can send you the links? I'm fairly sure i mentioned that in ohhh the final line. Let me look. YEAH I DID. Infact, just to shut you up i'll send them NOW! Also you said i was manipulating words, a word cannot be manipulated, and my friend i have a photographic memory. What i read i remember. I'm sorry if you don't have one.
@narutardtedr Yea, knowing that I would find it if I did use your suggestion of using google to try and decipher what you were saying about plants. That was also pure assumption on your part also, I googled a big line of what you said to try and see where you were coming from. I know it's already been overkill but , although you still think like a caveman, we are evolved. We understand that we don't need to kill animals and cause unnecessary pain and harm to survive.
@Moongem6 Actually that is the biology of the plant, and as the links i sent to you show, plants respond to sensations. It is believed they do feel pain. And what does the rest of that have to do with anything? I'm simply stating the fact anything with life, feels pain. True they may feel less pain than animals, but the fact of the matter is. They feel it.
@narutardtedr You just admitted your loss by saying "it is believed they do feel pain" and went on to contradict yourself by claiming it is a fact. Which one is it? you sound confused. I'll repeat myself, there is no solid evidence to support the claim that plants feel pain. A stimuli is not evidence for pain. Try telling your biology teacher what you've been telling me with 100% assurance and watch him laugh at you. All life is precious and you should give a damn, as a decent human being.
@Moongem6 Wow how little do you know about science? When an experiment is done to cause something what is it called? A stimuli. since it's shown they RESPOND to stimuli it's proof that they feel. When they burned it, it gave readings off the chart, thus showing it felt pain. What do you think the word "Believe" means? To treat as truth, since plants do not move and we will never find a way to talk to them that is all we have. Please pick up a dictionary, you sound like a first grade dumbass.
Seriously look up the word stimuli and believe, please do. Because with that i've lost any and all respect for you as an "intelligent" person "stimuli is not evidence for pain" please, for the love of GOD look up the word stimuli and realize how stupid you made yourself sound.
Also, i claimed to be logical. "Logic only supports" "It's only logical" i've used the word countless times, at this point it's clear i'm going to have to dumb down my writing patterns, because it's clear you cannot read, or you just skim through my replies.
@narutardtedr Stop using the word logic as if anything you've said points towards that. I made a small mistake due to constant typing while trying to multitask and look at yourself jump all over it, because that is the only weakness you can find. I never asked for your respect, your respect is as worthless as you. Half the time you sound like a troll, except for when you're copying and pasting someone elses work. Looks like it's you who needs to pick up a dictionary, look up believe.
@Moongem6 What are you talking about? I'm telling you to read my post and think. I explained my logic countless times, I've given you the proof and source of information you asked for which helps my logic, and you tried to deny it without any credible reason other than "stimuli is not evidence for pain"? It's not trolling, you're just being dumb. And i did Believe: Accept (something) as true; feel sure of the truth of: "the superintendent" and i said "To treat as truth", herp derp. U don goofed
@narutardtedr I'm not here to hear about your beliefs, I could care less about any of the beliefs of an ignorant uninteresting man. Once again, none of your sources point towards the pain of plants. Just because plants react does not mean they feel pain. As a start, we are talking about actual edible fruits and vegetables, and not their bases. You have no logic, you're simply trying to give yourself an excuse by going off something so narrow as "life feeds on life so I'll eat all life happily".
@Moongem6 "Just because plants react does not mean they feel pain" you do realize pain is a reaction to tell the organism something is wrong right? You just broke your own argument. Not to mention the fact if they react it's clear they feel something. I don't need an excuse to eat, i eat what i want, i said that again and again. You're not even raising an argument now, you're trying to hide in a corner hoping i will go away because you have nothing to dispute against me.
@narutardtedr You began by saying something ridiculously stupid along the lines of "vegetarians are mad because this video shows they're no better than us". The reaction does not NECESSARILY mean that it is pain, nor does it mean it's pain in the same sense humans feel. When a plant regenerates itself it's doing so because it has no choice, such as a human scraping their knee and having it regenerate on its own even if the human does not want it. Just stop, you're clearly an idiot.
@Moongem6 LOL! Oh my goodness, you are one stupid person. Again what is pain? A reaction to tell the organism something is wrong and that it could die, anything that has this reaction be it like humans or not, is feeling pain. Why do humans heal? To make sure we stay ALIVE, it's a survival mechanism, we heal to help keep out viruses that could kill us. If they heal that means their core mission like humans, IS TO SURVIVE. You rely too much on the words given to you and ignore the real picture.
@narutardtedr this is like a cop beating a baby. after reading your argument you have some good points and i will admit that but you said yourself we cannot know for sure if plants feel pain excuse me if i use your words but logically yes it makes sense but we don't know for sure. anyway stop arguing with this person i feel as though he is doing a discredit to vegans saying things that dont matter and dont make sense to attacks on your character this is a sad excuse for an argument...stop
@blackshadowsword ROFL! Oh my this is a first, a person asking me to stop OWNING someone else. Hmmm. Should i stop? NAH, as nice as it would be to stop, at this point i'm just trying to see how far off track he can go before he just gives up. Because he seems to be setting new records for stupidity, which is fun to watch. "I'm not here to hear about your beliefs" yet you're in an argument with me on a subject that can't be 100 percent proven one way or the other? Too fun man. Just too fun.
@blackshadowsword He isn't saying that we don't know if they feel plain, he is claiming it is a fact. I agree with the attacks on character, it is immature and unnecessary. Although it is a bit frustrating when you have a person who chooses to bash someone over their diet through the sense of simple valuing life, then tries to act some what civil. The next time you choose to try and criticize someone, at least point know what is being said. You sound like a troll as well, which you probably are.
@Moongem6 yet you're in an argument with me on a subject that can't be 100 percent proven one way or the other he isn't claiming anything believing and claiming are two different things trying to get your goat a value of life is bullshit and you know it if you value life you wouldnt eat because everything you eat lives weather it feels pain or not you just dont wanna feel like you are no diff than a meat eater and dont call me a troll simply because im not blind and can see you failing
@blackshadowsword You are wrong, for the most part he has been claiming it as a fact. Actually try to read what you're responding to. For the second part, that is so incredibly ridiculous and vague that I don't even know where to begin.... Lets see, claim #1 - if you eat plants you don't value life claim #2- I'm on a vegetarian diet because I think I'm better than people?? claim #3 - Sacrificing tasty food for a vegetarian diet to ease murder of animals is as equally moral as a meat based diet.
@Moongem6 reading a few chapters of this argument all i can say is...stop trying to defend us vegans shouldnt care if plants feel pain or not. the point to being a vegan is to have a healthy lifestyle his comments are clearly directed to vegans who become vegans because they think it makes them better. and you said stimuli is not evidence for pain i think its safe to say you have no idea what you are talking about and are just making vegans look stupid. stop we dont want or need your help.
@blackshadowsword People are vegans/vegetarians for different reasons, who are you to say I shouldn't care if plants feel pain or not? I'm not here to defend you, I could care less about you. You're over here trying to defend vegans yourself, stupid hypocrite. Narutard, this all started because of your the quotes I mentioned in my last reply. You aren't "owning" anyone. In fact, your sentence to spark this didn't make any sense to start. You fail to address the majority of my points and assume.
@Moongem6 Lol! Next time you wanna reply to me, hit the "reply" on my name. And if the fact someone came and asked me to stop, that doesn't show ownage? I guess we have two different views on that. My sentence to spark what? Your "Points" i've been disproving them with every reply. Your whole argument is flawed, and i'm not the only one who sees it as you can tell. I was asked me to stop because they think you're making vegans look dumb. Do the math, now lets get back on track. :)
@narutardtedr You haven't proved anything. Blackshadow doesn't have a single clue of what he's talking about, the only thing he did was bring up a mistake which I've already admitted to and explained. If that's what you consider evidence for plants feeling pain, go ahead and take it. From an evolutionary perspective, the fruit is the seed of the tree or plant. It depended on animals to eat the fruit and lay their seeds on the floor through their waste to help the tree's and plants expansion.
@Moongem6 Actually, i have been disproving them. Which is why you can't bring up a single point to negate me. From an evolutionary perspective, that doesn't mean they didn't feel pain. Using your opinion as evidence isn't going to work my friend.
@narutardtedr First of all, you brought up an evolution, a statement in a previous paragraph. Secondly, this is a quote from you "The circle of life, is to kill to survive. All life does it, no exceptions. My food feels pain regardless of it being plant or meat, this is a fact. So unless i'm eating rocks, i shouldn't give a damn." Yet you spent 2-3 paragraphs acting as if you haven't said a thing regarding your diet or the reasons, THEN you go on to try and accuse me of steering off.
@narutardtedr You haven't disproved anything. For the millionth time, just because they may react, does not mean they feel pain, and it does not mean they feel it in the terrible sense we are capable of. I don't mean to criticize, but you are really narrow minded. You couldn't be so wrong to assume that I'm trying to hide in a corner in hopes you would go away, I hope you're not using the self defense mechanism of projection again.
@Moongem6 My friend take some basic biology, please. If they react it shows they can feel, if they can feel they clearly have a response to tell them something is wrong. This response like it or not is pain. That is all pain is, this is basic biology. What you're saying is they may feel it differently, well they might. But pain is pain, it's a fact not a word. Pain isn't defense, it's survival. Learn the differences. Because you sound very stupid.
@narutardtedr Friend, I guess you think I'm your friend now, fine with me. Chemicals trigger automatic responses. You are now back to square one, lol.
@Moongem6 *Facepalm* What chemicals are you talking about, IN A PLANT? You mean the chemical make up of respiration? Glucose Oxygen (Water) carbon and solar energy? Before you want to get a high horse and say i'm back to square one, state your factors. Because i can't argue against an imaginary/unknown chemical nor can you keep an argument with one.
@narutardtedr what do you think we've been talking about? the chemicals you listed have nothing to do with it and you do indeed deserve a face palm for asking that. i'm done spelling things out for you. with all due respect, it feels like i'm dealing with an elementary school child. if you do not know what you're talking about just simply don't do it. i'm not here to educate you. grats on admitting and presenting that you don't have the slightest clue of what you're trying to discuss. goodbye.
@Moongem6 When you say something like "Chemicals trigger automatic responses" you are obligated to list those very chemicals. Science is not broad, it's a precise list. You cannot create an argument against unknown/imaginary chemicals and the actions they take. You should know this as basic science, you are to list them and their effects. You're simply not aware of the very "Chemicals" you're talking about so you're trying to run from the argument. I've dealt with people like you before.
@narutardtedr you are a joke. what could I be talking about other than the chemical reactions you have listed in your defense? please stop using words like "in basic science" because it makes you sound like a huge hypocrite. Did you really just say science is not broad...................? And here comes another huge cherry picked meaningless reply from you which misses the point, as always.
@narutardtedr but anyways, you've shown that you really don't know have the slightest clue of what you're trying to talk about. The best you've done was copy and paste an out dated article from Google, trying to hide it off as your own in the beginning. You've hardly addressed anything I have said or completely missed the point of it. You really don't care about pain, as you've said. This is just an ego battle for you. You've failed to demonstrate anything, which is why you're even here.
@Moongem6 Again, you talk about the chemicals BUT YOU DON'T LIST THEM! Ask any scientist or even basic biologist about chemical reactions. They will list the chemicals, their effects, their causes, and why it's like that. You like many scientific dipshits. Are ignorant of the method used to hold your claim. Look you little bitch, if you can't list the chemicals and reactions and what circumstances those chemicals take place. Shut up, and go pussy out somewhere else.
@Moongem6 im one of the friends he was talking about, and i have to admit. you are PATHETIC. he is asking you to list the chemicals that cause the reactions youre talking about. you actually ARE obligated to list each chemical you are talking about specifically. "what could I be talking about other than the chemical reactions you have listed in your defense?" he didn't list any chemicals, and if he's missing it its YOUR job to list them fucker. i love science with a passion and you are a shame.
@zenthoa this isn't a science class, I'm not more obligated to list anything any more than he is. As I've previously said, I'm not here to educate him. You're missing the point of whats around it anyways..THINK HARDER. And he HAS pointlessly listed chemical reactions, idiot. Besides all this, I don't care care if you love science nor if you know more about it than that other moron. Your words and worth are still zero to me until you have anything useful to add, which I'm sure you don't. GOODBYE
@Moongem6 you are in a scientific DEBATE, you ARE obligated to list them. if HE doesn't know the chemicals YOU are to tell him, what those chemicals are, what they do and under what circumstances they bring the result of your argument. What chemicals has he listed? People like you make me SICK, thinking you can fuck with science in any way shape and form and win a debate with it. if you were here i would spit in your face. get your ass out you know nothing wannabe bitch.
@zenthoa you sound like you're about to cry, over the internet.. LOL. you're still missing the point of the statement, I'm pretty sure anyone outside your box of retarded friends could see it. I see you're asking me to educate him too, if you read my earlier posts.. I'm not here to educate anyone. I don't care about two worthless retards such as yourselves :) goodbye.. waste of time.
@Moongem6 i am about to cry, because idiotic people like YOU exist. saddens me. it truly does, because i thought everyone in the world had a basic knowledge of how scientific arguments go...clearly, i was wrong. and if there is one idiot like you, there's another, and another, and another. that saddens me beyond measure. Idiocy like yours should be wiped off the face of the planet, thinking you can abuse science to win a debate and not even contribute to your thesis. begone you little bitch.
@zenthoa I made some loser on the internet cry. Let me quote ya a bit.."I have just met someone I consider an idiot for the first time in my life, and if there is one, there must be many. I should of never left my cave, life is scary out here. Even though I completely miss the point, I believe this person is abusing science to win a debate over the internet. Pure evil, these are the worse kind of people, the reason the world is filled with starving kids." That is how stupid you sound LOL.
@Moongem6 Wow. Just wow. Maybe you should take some psychology classes, because a psychological profile of this comment shows you are ignorant, egotistical, immature and rude. Aside from the fact it has NOTHING to do with the argument.
"please, humor me some more."
How? Point out the fact that you don't know how to stay away because i strike a nerve with each comment? You've said "Goodbye" over 10 times. Yet you still come back, my friend that is true stupidity.
@zenthoa grab a piece of paper and a pencil, pretend this post applied to you, now go back to your previous post and check off everything you just called me. by the time you're done, everything should be checked, now go bang your head against a wall for being so stupid.
@Moongem6 My previous comment? OH you mean when i said i'm sad you're too dumb to use the scientific argument right? Or the comment before this one, which states that you can't resist a single post i make? See, you have no argument. You're just struggling for the attention i give you. A comment to a comment to someone else? You attempt to make being a vegetarian seem like something other than attachment. If that wasn't the case, then people wouldn't care about animals. But prove to me it's not.
@zenthoa refer to previous posts, you hardly make sense, ugly troll. seeing as how you're either a) a complete idiot or b) a troll, I won't waste my time trying to educate you about the moral vegetarian stand point.
@Moongem6 "seeing as how you're either a) a complete idiot or b) a troll, I won't waste my time trying to educate you about the moral vegetarian stand point."
Translation: Shut up, i can't argue against your standpoint because you're right. I don't wanna look stupid so i'm gonna back down and keep attempting to divert attention away from this fact.
@zenthoa you don't even have a case to start with. "Vegetarianism is an attachment because they don't want their pets eaten" .......... uhhh? what? do you even listen to yourself when you type LOL. -p.s. you're not intelligent, stop saying the words "argument" and "logic" as if you have a fraction of intelligence or even the slightest clue of what you're trying to talk about, repeating those words won't make it so.
@Moongem6 ..."Vegetarianism is an attachment because they don't want their pets eaten" How stupid are you not to be able to tell an example from the core concept? And i assume the guy who just said the most idiotic thing of all, is gonna tell me what intelligence is. Gee, it's kinda funny to see you can't even tell example from concept. Listen blue nuts, it is an attachment. An attachment to life, which isn't needed and has been cast out in the animal kingdom of which we descend. It's worthless
@narutardtedr it was fun, until I realized that I've been talking to a rock. I will not be replying to anymore of your posts since it's nothing bug a huge waste of time. You have nothing useful or vital to say about the subject, and anything else I assume. I would just like you to acknowledge that you are not as bright or outspoken as you try to make yourself sound. Next time do some research anything you would like to discuss before trying to pose it as truth. GOODBYE FOR GOOD!
@Moongem6 Just give it up, i've shown your comments to some of my friends, who know FAAAR more about science than i do. And they couldn't help but laugh. You have NO knowledge of the scientific formula. "Chemicals cause reactions" you are again, by scientific practice. OBLIGATED to list the chemicals of which you speak. Otherwise your argument is void. But i people like you, you are just too headstrong to admit you're wrong, and that the chemicals you speak of don't exist or you don't know. Fail
@narutardtedr As we know, they may respond to emotion as well. Does that mean our emotions are inflicting pain on them as well? For the most part, what I've been saying is much broader than you've been trying to pick apart at, causing you to believe that there still aren't several standing arguments you haven't addressed. It's as if I need to thoroughly explain every little thing I type to you because of your severely limited thought pattern. You're arguing with a blindfold on to defend your ego
@Moongem6 What you've been saying is not a broader anything, it's babble, you're constantly breaking your own arguments, time and time again i've had to tell you to look things up because you tried to argue without knowledge. You're admitted yourself you didn't know What ego? How many times did i say i didn't care if they feel pain? Correct me if i'm wrong but you're starting to veer off course of the arugment further from your defense into plants not feeling pain into me. Get back on track.
@narutardtedr well lets see, it takes 16 pounds of plant and grain just to produce one pound of edible flesh. so even if what you were saying about plants feeling pain was true (which is not), you're over there killing LOTS more plant AND eating innocent animals which were brutally slaughtered for selfish, cruel, and inhuman reasons.
@greentea213 Each root apex harbours a unit of nervous system of plants. The number of root apices in the plant body is high and all brain-units are interconnected via vascular strands (plant nerves) with their polarly-transported auxin (plant neurotransmitter), to form a serial (parallel) nervous system of plants. The computational and informational capacity of this nervous system based on interconnected (Continued)
@greentea213(2nd reply) or the central nervous system of higher animals/humans. Now again, plants feel pain. They have a nervous system. I don't care if my food feels pain, facts are facts, everything alive feels pain. Take a second to realize what pain is, a feeling to show that something is wrong. Plants release chemicals telling other plants to be prepared when attacked and reduce the damage on them. They feel pain and respond to it as such. DEAL WITH IT.
@narutardtedr Once again, even if what you are saying is true, you are still causing a great deal of unnecessary pain by simply choosing to help pay for the brutality of animals for selfish reasons. What you're saying is "oh just because other things feel pain too means it's okay to go around murdering and eating everything edible!". Do you even understand the word pain and how it varies through different organisms? Unlikely. Now, show me some real evidence of this claim you're making(CONTINUED)
@Moongem6 I just explained to you the system of a plant. Do i need to explain other parts? Because i can and will. Again, i don't care if the food i eat, feels pain. Read my comment, facts are facts, plants feel pain because they are alive. Like it or not. Also no, pain does not change. Pain is not a word, it's a fact of all living things. Pain, is a systematic reaction telling the organism that something is wrong and that it is in possible danger, this is basic biology my friend.
What a surprise...a video that tries to question whether vegetarianism is as cruel (or more cruel) than meat-eating turns out to be ridiculous bullshit.
Previous posts have already debunked this video from start to finish...there's nothing more I need to add.
humans r not naturally vegetarians or vegans. u really don't need the naturalness claim to b vegan! moral/spiritual reasons alone r adequate 2 justify a vegan diet . Further, if the motivation for your diet is moral and/or spiritual, then you will want the basis of your diet to be honest as well as compassionate. In that case, ditching the false myths of naturalness presents no problems; indeed, ditching false myths means that you are ditching a burden.
I don't think he thought about how vegetarians would have to eat at least twice as many plants anyway so it would be at least 1x2= anyway, and plants give far less energy than meat so 2+
I don't think he thought about how vegetarians would have to eat at least twice as many plants anyway so it would be at least 1x2= anyway, and plants give far less energy than meat so 2+
THIS IS BULLSHIT. Plants DO NOT FEEL PAIN. they have NO MINDS OR BRAINS TO COMPRHEND PAIN OR CRUELTY , if you chop a plants "head" off ,it grows back, and multiplies without harm or pollution,
If you chop a cows or any others head off , it FEELS PAIN , COMPREHENDS IT , and it POLLUTES.
Omg , support your thesis before you make dumb vids.
What? This video is hard to follow and has no point. Then u started talking about religion? Yeah lets see muslums don't consume pork and we all know they have never done any cruel things like cut off the clitorus' of women, fly planes into buildings, forced raped girls to marry the person rapist. Charles Manson was a vegan & he was just a swell guy wasn't he. U're not even a vegan so your lifestyle still promotes just as much cruelty to animals and u have the nerve to try to keep score. Fuck off
Ummmm, I'm thinking your a little confused, plants have no nervous system, like animals and us so they do not feel pain, even if they are living organisms. And your language needs a little work -.- NOT a very good video :)
Why are the vegans always saying they are the "right" ones and think they are so sophisticated and that anybody who doesnt follow them is ignorant? they are the minority so why don't us meat eaters start fighting back? Civilation will start to see that the less we eat animals the more we become like them, now who wants to be a sheep? nobody? I thought so.......
this video makes no sense. for one, it takes 16 pounds of plant material to produce 1 pound of flesh.. 2) plants don't have a brain or nervous system.
@narutardtedr so where is this credible research you speak of that shows they have a nervous system? saying they respond to emotion is off topic and doesn't help support much other than to show that they are alive, which everyone should already know....
What tripe. No is the answer to tha last question above. Vegetarianism is a belief system. Nothing more. I'll eat meat even if its outlawed. So suck that you vego wankers. What are you going to do about it? Have a sook in the corner.
vegetarians believe they have the right to dictate how other people live their lives. Here is a fact for you: people like meat and you have no right to FORCE them to stop eating it.
where exactly am I dictating you or anyone on how to live their life? when the subject is brought up or people simply ask me "why am I a vegetarian" I'll explain to them why. but you on the other hand are trying to put vegetarians down , them being strong enough to do what you can't do because it's almost common sense our animals are tortured and brutalized for food.
I actually like vegetarians like you. But I can't stand the vegetarians who have two set goals in mind. 1) enforcing their views upon others 2) trying to change society so vegetarianism is forced upon others against their will. You have probably met them as well. They are 'vego wankers' and I dont apologise for calling them that.
I actually dont mind vegetarians with your attitude. You respect others views. However a lot of vegetarians whom I have met have only 2 aims. 1) to enforce their views upon others even if they are not interested in hearing them, and 2) to change society so that others are forced into being vegetarians against their will. You have probably met them, and been embarrased by them. They ARE vego wankers. Vegetarians are not stronger, they just choose a different diet. Nothing more.
thanks, it's nice to see reasonable people like yourself. can you please explain how it's just a diet when they don't contribute to the supply and demand of meat? I haven't met a vegetarian that tries to force it and embarrass people, I hope I never do. I always run into meat eaters who rub it in my face and don't respect my choice to be a vegetarian that are completely ignorant about the subject.
You are not dependent on livestock. However the suffering of the creatures in industrial nations differs from that of the suffering in underdeveloped. You should research the difference.
You can make a choice they cannot. And probably have a level of education they do not, to guide you.
jerkerjansson you clearly have done no research about vegetarianism and the positive affects it could have on world hunger. please educate yourself a bit on the subject before making such a stupid comment.
...just not as the main staple in your diet and not animals that are not free ranged. Personally I don't want to eat animal flesh, but I think that eating free ranged isn't cruel nor is eating plants.
Just to add my point in this: A natural life for a plant is growing in dirt, absorbing sun and then being consumed. For animals it's running around a forrest or something eating stuff and being hunted. When we farm plants they still get to grow in dirt and all that (ignoring non-organic of course) where as animals are kept in pens, eat unatural food to them and don't have a chance to get away from their predator, the machines. Eating meat is natural, sure...
@bangletigress humans r not naturally vegetarians or vegans. u really don't need the naturalness claim to b vegan! moral/spiritual reasons alone r adequate 2 justify a vegan diet . Further, if the motivation for your diet is moral and/or spiritual, then you will want the basis of your diet to be honest as well as compassionate. In that case, ditching the false myths of naturalness presents no problems; indeed, ditching false myths means that you are ditching a burden.

well first off plants are producers, there role in an ecosystem is to feed the ecosystem directly or not.
thats in the savage world, we aren't savages
were aren't omni vores (we don't eat raw meat, and carnivores don't eat cooked meat)
what are we then? we are what you call the alpha specie. we have the luxury of eating almost anything. there is a choice. you can stop killing things or you can continue it's up to
"Humans are classic examples of omnivores in all relevant anatomical traits. There is no basis in anatomy or physiology for the assumption that humans are pre-adapted to the vegetarian diet. For that reason, the best arguments in support of a meat-free diet remain ecological, ethical, and health concerns. "
[Dr. McArdle is a vegetarian and currently Scientific Advisor to The American Anti-Vivisection Society. He is an anatomist and a primatologist.]
living is not the same as being cruel, stop thinking about how plants or animals feel and try to worry more about yourselves. and dont say you are vegan because u dont want to hurt animals thats bs
I guarantee atleast 5 things you use on a daily basis are a biproduct of some sort of animal. When you drive your car and whack bugs, by your way of thinking, your murdering thousands of animals.
after animals are stunned with electricity they also feel NO pain. And the stunning is done so fast they don't know what happened. Its more painless than lethan injection. retard.
how is it cruel if they dont know whats happening? They come off a cattle trailer, go into an alley way (just like they've did a dozen times in t heif life already.) and thats the last thing they remember.
Animals have more personality yes, but they are also much more tastier than plants.
Also, good luck to you folks trying to be vegan. I hope you down ever own or use anything with a tire on it because animal bi-products are used in rubber.
i'll answer that question? it's cruel because when you do the act of killing an animal it's morally wrong and you feel it, unless your a killing machine.
and also it's ok to kill cows like that, but not okay to do it to jews in world war 2? you see where im coming from.
it not up to the die ers to decide what cruel. It up to the live ers to decide.
it's also to cruel to give more food to animals than the country of mozambique
Unfortunatly I dont see where your coming from. Jews are human beings. Cows are not. Its very simple. Cows would rely on constant care from human beings weither we ate them or not. (unless we killed the whole species). Those who are higher on the food chain will eat those below them.
we if you cant see i'll show you. the way people killed jews, is just like how they killed animals. get it?
cows don't require constant human care, after a while the one the humans selectively breeded will die while only the good ones survive its called natural selection
those who are below the in the food chain get eaten by the higher ones. but we aren't part of that chain we are just next to it. the question of meat is one of morals, is it wrong to kill?
To answer the last question: No, it's veganism. ;)
You could add that the animals are fed with plants too and that they "lose" energy by living themselves, moving around etc. and so in the end there is a huge waste of lifes.
plus, the plants killed that fed the animal you eat could have fed 100s more people than the actual animal you eat. so eating a bit of bacon is like eating 10 corn on the cobs. so meat eaters are responsible for the pig death and also 1000s of plant deaths.
So we agree a plant can die, so it must be living to die. You are responsible for thousands of plant deaths. just like I am responsible for thousands of cow deaths. What isthe difference?
And trust me, you dont have a fucking clue on how much a cow or pig eats, and what of it.
I would say 80% of a cows diet is brome or naitive prairie grass... not really edible or usefull to humans.
TO all basterds pure vegitarians, just think if v non vegitarians dont eat animals birds fish than this world will be full of birds, pigs, cows ,bulls, goats ,fish because they production multiplication capacity is more than humans, then wher will you vegitarians will go what will you eat this birds and animals will eat your whole farm all grains,,,,,,,it is foolish to blame non-veg which u vegi basterds will nevr understand because of us world is moving in balance, dont b sentimatal fools
dmsf123 6 months ago
@dmsf123 we MAKE them produce much more often then they normally would, besides that we could let nature play it's normal course and not have to brutalize these animals because we can. we have the brains to realize that very concept of killing and unnecessary suffering is against morality and the brains and the bodies to live and survive a very healthy life through a vegetarian or vegan diet. please don't limit yourself with quick conclusions like this, there is so much more to it.
Moongem6 6 months ago
apparently being a vegetarian also has a horrible impact on your grammar. Geez

Animals scream when they are tourtured for they're food.....point made.
HuffleSlytherin1 7 months ago
Plants can feel pain but can also feel love :-) Actually, if treated with love and respect, they will bear the most amazing fruit, for us to eat. They do not mind being eaten, it is a pure intention... they do mind being destroyed with malicious intent. Animals would not mind being eaten either if they were treated with love, respect and compassion. If we were all to raise, our own animals, love and respect them and kill them ourselves, I wonder how many would still eat meat? We're disconnected!
suesmovies 7 months ago
@suesmovies Plenty of people, i know a guy who has "Meat cravings" where he just has to have meat and nothing else. Humans are omnivores by nature, we consume both forms of life for ourselves. Just because we grow an attachment to something, doesn't mean we won't eat it's brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers etc. Food is food to many people, be it plant or not.
zenthoa 7 months ago
@zenthoa is this suppose to mean anything? oh my.. the stupidity. so it all boils down to "an attachment" for you?
Moongem6 7 months ago
@Moongem6 You made two comments at me, one of which is a pathetic flame which made me laugh. And this one is a reply to a comment not even made at you. Since when did "Moongem6" turn into "suesmovies"? It's all attachment. Nothing more, the only thing stopping people from eating their pets is the love for that specific one. I know people who have dogs, and have eaten dog. But would never eat their own. Yes moongem, the stupidity you give is pretty bad. Then again you just want attention.
zenthoa 6 months ago
Also again, i'm not manipulating anything. I'm saying words, if you don't understand the words i suggest you pick up a dictionary, because they aren't that big or hard to understand. The circle of life, is to kill to survive. All life does it, no exceptions. My food feels pain regardless of it being plant or meat, this is a fact. So unless i'm eating rocks, i shouldn't give a damn. And i can send you the link to where this information of plants feeling pain began. Logic only supports.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr A failed attempt of mere projection. I'm done arguing with you.
Moongem6 10 months ago
@narutardtedr To top it all off, did you really say that the fact "pain is a signal that something is wrong" originated from biology? you really are a tool. Next time trying using a source a little more up to date than 2005.
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 I said pain is a systematic REACTION, and if you were to do your research you see anything you feel is a signal. It's the nervs in your skin sending electrical signals to the brain telling you to feel it and the sensation to feel. This is covered in basic biology i still have the first biology books i had from when i started biology. It's covered.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
If I didn't know what pain was, I wouldn't be arguing against it , idiot. Just because plants respond to tissue damage does not mean they feel pain. No one asked you to explain the system of a plant, I'm asking you to show some credible sources that explain that prove plants feel pain, without any space for argument. You won't find one, instead, you will continue to try and manipulate words and put words in my mouth. If you don't sympathise pain, I'm wasting my time, go see a psychiatrist.
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 You said plants don't have a brain or nervous system, that is what i explained. I thus proved you wrong in that department. If plants respond to tissue damage, that means they must feel, if they feel, there must be a brain to register the sensation and tell them about it. Since they send out warning signals and cries for help (you can google that yourself), they must obviously feel pain. By logical standings they have no choice but to feel pain. That is life, deal with it.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr I find it hilarious that the reason you won't show your source is because you directly copied and pasted it without even bothering to credit the source. I would be embarrassed as well if I directly copy and paste anything I find which supports what I'm saying in an attempt to sound intelligent without even fully understanding anything about the source or what is what is being said in details. On top of that, you go on to assume that I don't understand it. (CONTINUED)
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 Didn't i just say i can send you the links? I'm fairly sure i mentioned that in ohhh the final line. Let me look. YEAH I DID. Infact, just to shut you up i'll send them NOW! Also you said i was manipulating words, a word cannot be manipulated, and my friend i have a photographic memory. What i read i remember. I'm sorry if you don't have one.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr Yea, knowing that I would find it if I did use your suggestion of using google to try and decipher what you were saying about plants. That was also pure assumption on your part also, I googled a big line of what you said to try and see where you were coming from. I know it's already been overkill but , although you still think like a caveman, we are evolved. We understand that we don't need to kill animals and cause unnecessary pain and harm to survive.
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 Actually that is the biology of the plant, and as the links i sent to you show, plants respond to sensations. It is believed they do feel pain. And what does the rest of that have to do with anything? I'm simply stating the fact anything with life, feels pain. True they may feel less pain than animals, but the fact of the matter is. They feel it.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr You just admitted your loss by saying "it is believed they do feel pain" and went on to contradict yourself by claiming it is a fact. Which one is it? you sound confused. I'll repeat myself, there is no solid evidence to support the claim that plants feel pain. A stimuli is not evidence for pain. Try telling your biology teacher what you've been telling me with 100% assurance and watch him laugh at you. All life is precious and you should give a damn, as a decent human being.
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 Wow how little do you know about science? When an experiment is done to cause something what is it called? A stimuli. since it's shown they RESPOND to stimuli it's proof that they feel. When they burned it, it gave readings off the chart, thus showing it felt pain. What do you think the word "Believe" means? To treat as truth, since plants do not move and we will never find a way to talk to them that is all we have. Please pick up a dictionary, you sound like a first grade dumbass.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
Seriously look up the word stimuli and believe, please do. Because with that i've lost any and all respect for you as an "intelligent" person "stimuli is not evidence for pain" please, for the love of GOD look up the word stimuli and realize how stupid you made yourself sound.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
Also, i claimed to be logical. "Logic only supports" "It's only logical" i've used the word countless times, at this point it's clear i'm going to have to dumb down my writing patterns, because it's clear you cannot read, or you just skim through my replies.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr Stop using the word logic as if anything you've said points towards that. I made a small mistake due to constant typing while trying to multitask and look at yourself jump all over it, because that is the only weakness you can find. I never asked for your respect, your respect is as worthless as you. Half the time you sound like a troll, except for when you're copying and pasting someone elses work. Looks like it's you who needs to pick up a dictionary, look up believe.
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 What are you talking about? I'm telling you to read my post and think. I explained my logic countless times, I've given you the proof and source of information you asked for which helps my logic, and you tried to deny it without any credible reason other than "stimuli is not evidence for pain"? It's not trolling, you're just being dumb. And i did Believe: Accept (something) as true; feel sure of the truth of: "the superintendent" and i said "To treat as truth", herp derp. U don goofed
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr I'm not here to hear about your beliefs, I could care less about any of the beliefs of an ignorant uninteresting man. Once again, none of your sources point towards the pain of plants. Just because plants react does not mean they feel pain. As a start, we are talking about actual edible fruits and vegetables, and not their bases. You have no logic, you're simply trying to give yourself an excuse by going off something so narrow as "life feeds on life so I'll eat all life happily".
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 "Just because plants react does not mean they feel pain" you do realize pain is a reaction to tell the organism something is wrong right? You just broke your own argument. Not to mention the fact if they react it's clear they feel something. I don't need an excuse to eat, i eat what i want, i said that again and again. You're not even raising an argument now, you're trying to hide in a corner hoping i will go away because you have nothing to dispute against me.
narutardtedr 9 months ago
@narutardtedr You began by saying something ridiculously stupid along the lines of "vegetarians are mad because this video shows they're no better than us". The reaction does not NECESSARILY mean that it is pain, nor does it mean it's pain in the same sense humans feel. When a plant regenerates itself it's doing so because it has no choice, such as a human scraping their knee and having it regenerate on its own even if the human does not want it. Just stop, you're clearly an idiot.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 LOL! Oh my goodness, you are one stupid person. Again what is pain? A reaction to tell the organism something is wrong and that it could die, anything that has this reaction be it like humans or not, is feeling pain. Why do humans heal? To make sure we stay ALIVE, it's a survival mechanism, we heal to help keep out viruses that could kill us. If they heal that means their core mission like humans, IS TO SURVIVE. You rely too much on the words given to you and ignore the real picture.
narutardtedr 9 months ago
@narutardtedr this is like a cop beating a baby. after reading your argument you have some good points and i will admit that but you said yourself we cannot know for sure if plants feel pain excuse me if i use your words but logically yes it makes sense but we don't know for sure. anyway stop arguing with this person i feel as though he is doing a discredit to vegans saying things that dont matter and dont make sense to attacks on your character this is a sad excuse for an argument...stop
blackshadowsword 9 months ago
@blackshadowsword ROFL! Oh my this is a first, a person asking me to stop OWNING someone else. Hmmm. Should i stop? NAH, as nice as it would be to stop, at this point i'm just trying to see how far off track he can go before he just gives up. Because he seems to be setting new records for stupidity, which is fun to watch. "I'm not here to hear about your beliefs" yet you're in an argument with me on a subject that can't be 100 percent proven one way or the other? Too fun man. Just too fun.

@narutardtedr technically i'm an omnivore...you know i don't care anymore argue all you want.
blackshadowsword 9 months ago
@blackshadowsword He isn't saying that we don't know if they feel plain, he is claiming it is a fact. I agree with the attacks on character, it is immature and unnecessary. Although it is a bit frustrating when you have a person who chooses to bash someone over their diet through the sense of simple valuing life, then tries to act some what civil. The next time you choose to try and criticize someone, at least point know what is being said. You sound like a troll as well, which you probably are.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 yet you're in an argument with me on a subject that can't be 100 percent proven one way or the other he isn't claiming anything believing and claiming are two different things trying to get your goat a value of life is bullshit and you know it if you value life you wouldnt eat because everything you eat lives weather it feels pain or not you just dont wanna feel like you are no diff than a meat eater and dont call me a troll simply because im not blind and can see you failing
blackshadowsword 9 months ago
@blackshadowsword You are wrong, for the most part he has been claiming it as a fact. Actually try to read what you're responding to. For the second part, that is so incredibly ridiculous and vague that I don't even know where to begin.... Lets see, claim #1 - if you eat plants you don't value life claim #2- I'm on a vegetarian diet because I think I'm better than people?? claim #3 - Sacrificing tasty food for a vegetarian diet to ease murder of animals is as equally moral as a meat based diet.

@Moongem6 reading a few chapters of this argument all i can say is...stop trying to defend us vegans shouldnt care if plants feel pain or not. the point to being a vegan is to have a healthy lifestyle his comments are clearly directed to vegans who become vegans because they think it makes them better. and you said stimuli is not evidence for pain i think its safe to say you have no idea what you are talking about and are just making vegans look stupid. stop we dont want or need your help.
blackshadowsword 9 months ago
@blackshadowsword People are vegans/vegetarians for different reasons, who are you to say I shouldn't care if plants feel pain or not? I'm not here to defend you, I could care less about you. You're over here trying to defend vegans yourself, stupid hypocrite. Narutard, this all started because of your the quotes I mentioned in my last reply. You aren't "owning" anyone. In fact, your sentence to spark this didn't make any sense to start. You fail to address the majority of my points and assume.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 Lol! :)
narutardtedr 9 months ago
@narutardtedr You haven't proved anything. Blackshadow doesn't have a single clue of what he's talking about, the only thing he did was bring up a mistake which I've already admitted to and explained. If that's what you consider evidence for plants feeling pain, go ahead and take it. From an evolutionary perspective, the fruit is the seed of the tree or plant. It depended on animals to eat the fruit and lay their seeds on the floor through their waste to help the tree's and plants expansion.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 Actually, i have been disproving them. Which is why you can't bring up a single point to negate me. From an evolutionary perspective, that doesn't mean they didn't feel pain. Using your opinion as evidence isn't going to work my friend.
narutardtedr 9 months ago

@narutardtedr First of all, you brought up an evolution, a statement in a previous paragraph. Secondly, this is a quote from you "The circle of life, is to kill to survive. All life does it, no exceptions. My food feels pain regardless of it being plant or meat, this is a fact. So unless i'm eating rocks, i shouldn't give a damn." Yet you spent 2-3 paragraphs acting as if you haven't said a thing regarding your diet or the reasons, THEN you go on to try and accuse me of steering off.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@narutardtedr You haven't disproved anything. For the millionth time, just because they may react, does not mean they feel pain, and it does not mean they feel it in the terrible sense we are capable of. I don't mean to criticize, but you are really narrow minded. You couldn't be so wrong to assume that I'm trying to hide in a corner in hopes you would go away, I hope you're not using the self defense mechanism of projection again.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 My friend take some basic biology, please. If they react it shows they can feel, if they can feel they clearly have a response to tell them something is wrong. This response like it or not is pain. That is all pain is, this is basic biology. What you're saying is they may feel it differently, well they might. But pain is pain, it's a fact not a word. Pain isn't defense, it's survival. Learn the differences. Because you sound very stupid.
narutardtedr 9 months ago
@narutardtedr Friend, I guess you think I'm your friend now, fine with me. Chemicals trigger automatic responses. You are now back to square one, lol.
Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 *Facepalm* What chemicals are you talking about, IN A PLANT? You mean the chemical make up of respiration? Glucose Oxygen (Water) carbon and solar energy? Before you want to get a high horse and say i'm back to square one, state your factors. Because i can't argue against an imaginary/unknown chemical nor can you keep an argument with one.
narutardtedr 9 months ago
@narutardtedr what do you think we've been talking about? the chemicals you listed have nothing to do with it and you do indeed deserve a face palm for asking that. i'm done spelling things out for you. with all due respect, it feels like i'm dealing with an elementary school child. if you do not know what you're talking about just simply don't do it. i'm not here to educate you. grats on admitting and presenting that you don't have the slightest clue of what you're trying to discuss. goodbye.
Moongem6 8 months ago
@Moongem6 When you say something like "Chemicals trigger automatic responses" you are obligated to list those very chemicals. Science is not broad, it's a precise list. You cannot create an argument against unknown/imaginary chemicals and the actions they take. You should know this as basic science, you are to list them and their effects. You're simply not aware of the very "Chemicals" you're talking about so you're trying to run from the argument. I've dealt with people like you before.
narutardtedr 8 months ago
@narutardtedr you are a joke. what could I be talking about other than the chemical reactions you have listed in your defense? please stop using words like "in basic science" because it makes you sound like a huge hypocrite. Did you really just say science is not broad...................? And here comes another huge cherry picked meaningless reply from you which misses the point, as always.
Moongem6 8 months ago
@narutardtedr but anyways, you've shown that you really don't know have the slightest clue of what you're trying to talk about. The best you've done was copy and paste an out dated article from Google, trying to hide it off as your own in the beginning. You've hardly addressed anything I have said or completely missed the point of it. You really don't care about pain, as you've said. This is just an ego battle for you. You've failed to demonstrate anything, which is why you're even here.
Moongem6 8 months ago
@Moongem6 Again, you talk about the chemicals BUT YOU DON'T LIST THEM! Ask any scientist or even basic biologist about chemical reactions. They will list the chemicals, their effects, their causes, and why it's like that. You like many scientific dipshits. Are ignorant of the method used to hold your claim. Look you little bitch, if you can't list the chemicals and reactions and what circumstances those chemicals take place. Shut up, and go pussy out somewhere else.
narutardtedr 8 months ago
@Moongem6 im one of the friends he was talking about, and i have to admit. you are PATHETIC. he is asking you to list the chemicals that cause the reactions youre talking about. you actually ARE obligated to list each chemical you are talking about specifically. "what could I be talking about other than the chemical reactions you have listed in your defense?" he didn't list any chemicals, and if he's missing it its YOUR job to list them fucker. i love science with a passion and you are a shame.
zenthoa 8 months ago
@zenthoa this isn't a science class, I'm not more obligated to list anything any more than he is. As I've previously said, I'm not here to educate him. You're missing the point of whats around it anyways..THINK HARDER. And he HAS pointlessly listed chemical reactions, idiot. Besides all this, I don't care care if you love science nor if you know more about it than that other moron. Your words and worth are still zero to me until you have anything useful to add, which I'm sure you don't. GOODBYE
Moongem6 8 months ago

Moongem6 8 months ago

Moongem6 7 months ago
@Moongem6 My previous comment? OH you mean when i said i'm sad you're too dumb to use the scientific argument right? Or the comment before this one, which states that you can't resist a single post i make? See, you have no argument. You're just struggling for the attention i give you. A comment to a comment to someone else? You attempt to make being a vegetarian seem like something other than attachment. If that wasn't the case, then people wouldn't care about animals. But prove to me it's not.

Moongem6 6 months ago

Moongem6 9 months ago
@Moongem6 What you've been saying is not a broader anything, it's babble, you're constantly breaking your own arguments, time and time again i've had to tell you to look things up because you tried to argue without knowledge. You're admitted yourself you didn't know What ego? How many times did i say i didn't care if they feel pain? Correct me if i'm wrong but you're starting to veer off course of the arugment further from your defense into plants not feeling pain into me. Get back on track.

Lol at all the vegans getting pissed because they're no better than meat eaters.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr well lets see, it takes 16 pounds of plant and grain just to produce one pound of edible flesh. so even if what you were saying about plants feeling pain was true (which is not), you're over there killing LOTS more plant AND eating innocent animals which were brutally slaughtered for selfish, cruel, and inhuman reasons.
greentea213 10 months ago
@greentea213 Each root apex harbours a unit of nervous system of plants. The number of root apices in the plant body is high and all brain-units are interconnected via vascular strands (plant nerves) with their polarly-transported auxin (plant neurotransmitter), to form a serial (parallel) nervous system of plants. The computational and informational capacity of this nervous system based on interconnected (Continued)
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@greentea213(2nd reply) or the central nervous system of higher animals/humans. Now again, plants feel pain. They have a nervous system. I don't care if my food feels pain, facts are facts, everything alive feels pain. Take a second to realize what pain is, a feeling to show that something is wrong. Plants release chemicals telling other plants to be prepared when attacked and reduce the damage on them. They feel pain and respond to it as such. DEAL WITH IT.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr Once again, even if what you are saying is true, you are still causing a great deal of unnecessary pain by simply choosing to help pay for the brutality of animals for selfish reasons. What you're saying is "oh just because other things feel pain too means it's okay to go around murdering and eating everything edible!". Do you even understand the word pain and how it varies through different organisms? Unlikely. Now, show me some real evidence of this claim you're making(CONTINUED)
Moongem6 10 months ago
@Moongem6 I just explained to you the system of a plant. Do i need to explain other parts? Because i can and will. Again, i don't care if the food i eat, feels pain. Read my comment, facts are facts, plants feel pain because they are alive. Like it or not. Also no, pain does not change. Pain is not a word, it's a fact of all living things. Pain, is a systematic reaction telling the organism that something is wrong and that it is in possible danger, this is basic biology my friend.
narutardtedr 10 months ago
@narutardtedr (2nd reply) and not a manipulation of words.

humans r not naturally vegetarians or vegans. u really don't need the naturalness claim to b vegan! moral/spiritual reasons alone r adequate 2 justify a vegan diet . Further, if the motivation for your diet is moral and/or spiritual, then you will want the basis of your diet to be honest as well as compassionate. In that case, ditching the false myths of naturalness presents no problems; indeed, ditching false myths means that you are ditching a burden.

Fuck off

What tripe. No is the answer to tha last question above. Vegetarianism is a belief system. Nothing more. I'll eat meat even if its outlawed. So suck that you vego wankers. What are you going to do about it? Have a sook in the corner.
Realfoxhawk 2 years ago
vegetarians base there decision off facts.
greentea213 2 years ago
vegetarians believe they have the right to dictate how other people live their lives. Here is a fact for you: people like meat and you have no right to FORCE them to stop eating it.
Realfoxhawk 2 years ago
where exactly am I dictating you or anyone on how to live their life? when the subject is brought up or people simply ask me "why am I a vegetarian" I'll explain to them why. but you on the other hand are trying to put vegetarians down , them being strong enough to do what you can't do because it's almost common sense our animals are tortured and brutalized for food.
greentea213 2 years ago
I actually like vegetarians like you. But I can't stand the vegetarians who have two set goals in mind. 1) enforcing their views upon others 2) trying to change society so vegetarianism is forced upon others against their will. You have probably met them as well. They are 'vego wankers' and I dont apologise for calling them that.
Realfoxhawk 2 years ago
I actually dont mind vegetarians with your attitude. You respect others views. However a lot of vegetarians whom I have met have only 2 aims. 1) to enforce their views upon others even if they are not interested in hearing them, and 2) to change society so that others are forced into being vegetarians against their will. You have probably met them, and been embarrased by them. They ARE vego wankers. Vegetarians are not stronger, they just choose a different diet. Nothing more.
Realfoxhawk 2 years ago
thanks, it's nice to see reasonable people like yourself. can you please explain how it's just a diet when they don't contribute to the supply and demand of meat? I haven't met a vegetarian that tries to force it and embarrass people, I hope I never do. I always run into meat eaters who rub it in my face and don't respect my choice to be a vegetarian that are completely ignorant about the subject.
greentea213 2 years ago
If I eat 100 gms of food everyday, i eat 60% plants and 40% meat.
A vegetarian eats 100% plants.
So, your score card is flawed.
I get 0.6 + 0.4 = 1 point.
A vegetarian gets 1 point.

Around 678 million poor people on Earth are absolutely dependant on livestock to survive. Should they go vegan? How?
They use land unfit for green crops. What will they eat in you vegan future?
Should we send them food? 678 million people?
jerkerjansson 2 years ago
You are not dependent on livestock. However the suffering of the creatures in industrial nations differs from that of the suffering in underdeveloped. You should research the difference.
You can make a choice they cannot. And probably have a level of education they do not, to guide you.
JLZesbaugh 2 years ago
jerkerjansson you clearly have done no research about vegetarianism and the positive affects it could have on world hunger. please educate yourself a bit on the subject before making such a stupid comment.

...just not as the main staple in your diet and not animals that are not free ranged. Personally I don't want to eat animal flesh, but I think that eating free ranged isn't cruel nor is eating plants.
bangletigress 2 years ago
Just to add my point in this: A natural life for a plant is growing in dirt, absorbing sun and then being consumed. For animals it's running around a forrest or something eating stuff and being hunted. When we farm plants they still get to grow in dirt and all that (ignoring non-organic of course) where as animals are kept in pens, eat unatural food to them and don't have a chance to get away from their predator, the machines. Eating meat is natural, sure...

well first off plants are producers, there role in an ecosystem is to feed the ecosystem directly or not.
thats in the savage world, we aren't savages
were aren't omni vores (we don't eat raw meat, and carnivores don't eat cooked meat)
what are we then? we are what you call the alpha specie. we have the luxury of eating almost anything. there is a choice. you can stop killing things or you can continue it's up to
2prologue 2 years ago
"Humans are classic examples of omnivores in all relevant anatomical traits. There is no basis in anatomy or physiology for the assumption that humans are pre-adapted to the vegetarian diet. For that reason, the best arguments in support of a meat-free diet remain ecological, ethical, and health concerns. "
[Dr. McArdle is a vegetarian and currently Scientific Advisor to The American Anti-Vivisection Society. He is an anatomist and a primatologist.]
It IS possible to eat raw meat.

and just because your ignorant doesn't mean you won the argument

but it's still cruel to animal, personally i believe animals have way more personality than a plant
2prologue 2 years ago
how is it cruel if they dont know whats happening? They come off a cattle trailer, go into an alley way (just like they've did a dozen times in t heif life already.) and thats the last thing they remember.
Animals have more personality yes, but they are also much more tastier than plants.
Also, good luck to you folks trying to be vegan. I hope you down ever own or use anything with a tire on it because animal bi-products are used in rubber.
TLcavvy 2 years ago
i'll answer that question? it's cruel because when you do the act of killing an animal it's morally wrong and you feel it, unless your a killing machine.
and also it's ok to kill cows like that, but not okay to do it to jews in world war 2? you see where im coming from.
it not up to the die ers to decide what cruel. It up to the live ers to decide.
it's also to cruel to give more food to animals than the country of mozambique
2prologue 2 years ago
Unfortunatly I dont see where your coming from. Jews are human beings. Cows are not. Its very simple. Cows would rely on constant care from human beings weither we ate them or not. (unless we killed the whole species). Those who are higher on the food chain will eat those below them.
TLcavvy 2 years ago
we if you cant see i'll show you. the way people killed jews, is just like how they killed animals. get it?
cows don't require constant human care, after a while the one the humans selectively breeded will die while only the good ones survive its called natural selection
those who are below the in the food chain get eaten by the higher ones. but we aren't part of that chain we are just next to it. the question of meat is one of morals, is it wrong to kill?

To answer the last question: No, it's veganism. ;)
You could add that the animals are fed with plants too and that they "lose" energy by living themselves, moving around etc. and so in the end there is a huge waste of lifes.
chrisxy123 3 years ago
Yes, Veganism is The Best!!!
I was a vegan for about 6 years but once I am abroad, it has become Hard to be Strictly a vegan
lovenlovemakeshappy 3 years ago
plus, the plants killed that fed the animal you eat could have fed 100s more people than the actual animal you eat. so eating a bit of bacon is like eating 10 corn on the cobs. so meat eaters are responsible for the pig death and also 1000s of plant deaths.
VedicSastra 3 years ago
So we agree a plant can die, so it must be living to die. You are responsible for thousands of plant deaths. just like I am responsible for thousands of cow deaths. What isthe difference?
And trust me, you dont have a fucking clue on how much a cow or pig eats, and what of it.
I would say 80% of a cows diet is brome or naitive prairie grass... not really edible or usefull to humans.
TLcavvy 3 years ago
yeh but that 20% of grain is enough to feed billions of starving children
you seriously need to ask youself, when you kill and plant, by chopping a tree. does it feel like stabbing an animal?
technically killing a plant is taking life, but do you believe a person is evil if they kill a plant?
for some reason, on this whole earth even when we realised plants were living there is nobody saying 'stop cruelty to plants'
and finally i kill plants, you kill animals and plants.
2prologue 2 years ago
anddd! the 20% of grain that feeds an animal, gives us 1 animal to share around with 10 people or more
instead of giving it to the animal, that 20% could be like 10 years supply of bread
