First, I love Rockapella. Second, I love this song. Third, I'm not a big fan of swearing. However, changing every "damn" in this song to "dang" was annoying. Zombie Jamboree got wussified. *sigh* Still, I'm loving the sound! It's awesome that they can sound like that live.

Great song but if you wanna hear it with more of a Caribbean sound you should check out The Sandpebbles (a Barbadian band) version.

It's closer to the original when they say "Back to back, belly to belly. Ah don't give a damn, ah done dead already" rather than how he says "stoned dead".

And no... Harry Belafonte did not do it originally.... it was Lord Intruder, a Trinidadian calypsonian, that originally wrote and preformed the song as Jumbie Jamboree but I don't think he ever recorded it.

the version used for the Gone to Far Too on Newgrounds is the recorded version of rockpella as featured on Spike Lee & Company do it acapella hence why they are credited with it on the video but the song itself is older than that it was released even before Harry Belfonte covered it. Let me help this debate, I was at this concert and met Sean Altman briefly. Rockapella did NOT make the song no. Like Beblondbird said he grew up with this song. It is his(and his band's) cover of an older version. NOT FROM GONE TOO FAR TOO, if you notice this concert was in 2000... the video Gone too far too.. was I think 2008? Please actually do a little reasearch. Allbeit Wikepedia is right most of the time it isn't the best to use to argue.
