  • grandissimi goblin!!!!!!

  • This is crazy, it sounds SO close to Phantom, but everything is just a bit diffrent.

  • my good taste in music got me here !

  • bellaa

  • bella

  • I'm here because i saw the film, my parents are italian, and for Justice xD

  • awesome track!

  • goblin, dario argento italian rules

  • Thumbs up if you knew the Justice track but found this looking up Dario Argento and The Goblins.

  • Love this movie...MY GOD Argento Used to make such pieces of Giallo :D

  • Goblin..what ever happened to them?

  • @Themaniacnextdoor Goblin reformed briefly in 2000 but Claudio Simonetti (the leader) decided to move forward with his new band "Daemonia" a couple of years later, the remaining members of Goblin reformed (without Simonetti) recorded a new CD and toured a little on and off since then. Daemonia however has been more active with tours and releases, mostly in Europe.

  • @corrado Huh. I'll have to look for that CD then.

  • adore Dario! adore Goblin! adore Justice! adore genius! adore all of you, youtubers :-)

  • very very genius song de films d 'horreur italien!!!

  • Im here because of Dario Argento

  • I'm here because of the Band Goblin. Justice are cool and all. But Goblin are king.

  • You know that sampling is a common practice, right? Also, Justice DID credit the sample and the song itself. Don't get me wrong, I like Goblin's song a lot more, but come on. Justice has brought some more attention to this song and this band, and I can respect that.

  • They should sue Justice and become more known, but I guess they are not attention seeking whores like those hipsters.

  • @UberPlaythroughs Sue for what? They credited the sample and it's perfectly legal. Dumbass

  • still love justice. But now that i know that that song is all sample........ they lose cool points.

  • @benusherr why? just cos its a sample? do you not see that sampling just opens the doors for musical intrepretation/ reinterpretation, by a ARTIST, of what has already been done. The original work has been acknowledged, no-one really loses. In fact I appreciate sampling as its can sometimes open your mind to something totally new. If you like it, whats the problem with that?

    Peace :)

  • @benusherr You must be new to the culture of sampling...

  • the best movie from argento together with suspiria

  • I'm not here because of Justice.

  • Thumbs up for Phantom!! :D

  • FEAR

    FEAR

    FEAR

    FEAR

That is what they say in this song I love Goblin

  • Remixed by Justice in 2007.

  • Awesome

  • PAURA !!

  • This is so fucking awesome... why the hate on Justice's "Phantom"? live and let live.

  • @CaboHitman Because fucking plagiarism ? Now, everyone thinks this song was CREATED by Justice :(

(And everyone thinks that "Ecstazy for Gold" is from Metallica)

  • @Wexperal That's not plagiarism, is sampling, and everyone thinking this song was created by Justice is not Justice's fault. I'd blame the ignorance, or lack of interest.

I like electronic music (and many other styles of music) and I like to know where the samples come. And most of the times, the sample is as awesome, like in this case.

  • @CaboHitman by sample u mean the voice that says "(something) paura" (sorry non parlo italiano)? its not a sample; i was on their live gig in Helsinki with the orig keyb player Claudio Simonetti: he does it with vocoder = voice+keyboard!

  • @CaboHitman I blame them changing the title and not giving proper credit.

  • @ChillblaineFilms You blame Justice for creating a song using a sample and not giving any credits, and giving that new song a new title? Check your sources, most of the samples are credited, and about the title: that's plain dumb

  • I love this track. I normally hate synthetic 80s horror music (Sorry, but John Carpenter's music drives me nuts :<) but Goblin seems to make an exception more often than not! This isn't as masterful as Suspiria, but it's still an awesome tune. Dario Argento's music was always, erm,... interesting.

  • both are good. i dont know too much about goblin but this track is good and justice sampled it which is good too

  • this is fucking outstanding!

  • JUSTICEEEE. Stop taking yourselves so seriously, you know it's a goddamn great song. Both good in their own way.

  • Outstanding bass guiter playing.

  • I think some people on here just don't appreciate the genius of Goblins.

  • true spirit!

  • puro rok progressive elettronico

  • PAURA

  • Dario Argento was inspired by 70's American cop shows for the movie and you can really hear it in this theme, especially in the drums.

  • @MidAtlanticGal Really? I'll be.

  • I just got this song, a leather jacket and a distortion pedal, can i be Justice nao?

  • @vincesdiscodreams no you need talent

  • sound sorta like disco

  • Fantastic giallo. One of Argento's best and one of Goblin's best and most far-out tracks. He doesn't make them like he used to.

  • It's funny, I've always known about goblin, my friend has always known about justice, but not vice versa. he started showing me justice and I thought they were pretty cool and then eventually I heard "phantom" and I was like "I've heard this!" I showed him this and now he loves it.

  • This is not Goblin;is Simonetti-Pignatelli-Morante

  • @imieicolori

In other words: Goblin. (Hell, it's most of them)

  • I can't help but think the creators of Castlevania draw some inspiration from music like this. It has that certain fell to it; know what I'm saying?

  • IT'S GUCCI TIME!

  • Spelling, sorry. Ment afraid.

  • 6 people are affraid of the dark.

  • @SouthernDebutante1 6 people don't read Peter Neal. The filthy, slimy perverts.

  • Bought this movie, the theme goes great with the killer washing his razor blade! Fucking love everything DA has made!

  • still fucks me up

  • @thebenolivas That is assuming that complexity is always a good thing. I think simplicity is part of the allure of electronic music i.e. no words

  • Wonder how many people are here because of Justice....because I am

  • @TehRealCanadarocker fuck justice...it's ok to be here because of them...but once you're here, sparks should shoot out of your genitalia and you should destroy Justice from your memory bank

  • horror house music yeahh ahah

  • This heavily inspired John Carpenter in the soundtrack for IN THE MOUTH OF MADNESS. For those uninformed.

  • @losermonster Phantom IS an original. sampling =/= cover.

They're both great tracks, and both have their own strengths. And all you hipsters here bitching about how Justice 'ruined' it can fuck off.

  • extremely underrated band!

  • @harveydents Underrated? they are the kings of horror music. the are very rated

  • What a rockin' song. I think this is Argento's most underrated movie, and Goblin's music is one of the main reasons I like the movie so much.

  • @EvilOstrich This is my favourite of his films, next to Phenomena. Truly magnificent!

  • This is wicked. At first all I could think of was WOW this sounds like a Castlevania OST.

  • @dec204 YES!

    That's what I'm thinking too.

  • I'm dancing right now...

  • those boys from justice are genius for havin such a wide pallet for music and incorporating into dance classics! who ever would hav heard this song being the base of a great dance tune???

  • Italians got the music

  • i fucking love it how i heard phantom and knew exactly what song they sampled!!! dammit obscure movie references!!!

  • Argento is God in Italy! He is a God in my eyes! OOOOOWA OOOOOOWA OOOOOWA OOOOOWA!

  • @Glauco777 PALALULA PALALULA PALALULA PALALULA ahahah...

  • so weird when you find out some of your favourite music is a sample from some artist you never would have heard of

  • Love this creepy atmospheric music. This songs cool too

    /watch?v=EQ5ALV76Jw4

  • Well the best version is Phantom part II then this comes then phantom.

  • Thumbs up if you clicked on this thinking it OFWGKTA

  • You really can't compare the two. They're entirely different and serve different purposes. Phantom is superior as a dancing and partying song. This is more beautifully composed but also lacks the punch it would need to be really danceable. Both are fantastic in completely different ways.

  • This is God-like music from the 80s! In Italy Dario Argento is GOD!

  • @wandererlain You speak the true word my friend.

  • @Drittkladden Thanks. Now I wouldn't go so far to say Dario is God but definitely a unique cinematic artist. He will never make a film as good as this or Phenomena again although I'm kind of looking forward to the Dracula movie because Rutger Hauer is in it.

  • Goblin shits all over Justice.

  • @nigelblanq goblin shits all over justice and the dominance of their shit turns justice to vapor and the world's a better place

  • anche questo bel pezzo dei goblin.

  • this is like star dust to zombie nation but with justice. But i do like

  • @zorrgagg or even cola bottle baby to daft punk's

  • goooooooood!!

  • 3 idiots missed the like button...

  • I´m in deep love with this madness.

  • I had no idea Phantom was sampling any other song. I thought it was an original. Strange.

  • the words everybody hears in the background are PAURA meaning FEAR

  • @Emilioagostino ahah ma sai che non l'avevo mai capito? non avevo mai fatto attenzione, dice veramente paura!! ahah grazie :)

  • @Emilioagostino

Hmm, I wouldn't be so sure about it. To me it sounds more like "parurura" (as a child of 2 would perhaps say "paura") or even "farurura" which, at least in Italian, doesn't mean anything :)

  • @Emilioagostino Thanks a lot for the info, I didnt know that. Thanks a lot.

  • well they didnt change that much to their sample...

kinda dissapointing, french djs ripping off a genious italian band

but hey.. its modern times so everything is possible

  • 10 points.

  • Why is everybody talkin about Justice? Just listen to this great movie theme from GOBLIN and stop talkin about Justice!

  • Remember this movie greatest comedy of all times!!!

  • listen to all of goblin musics!!

  • listen to all of goblin musics!!

  • Big Pun feat 50 Cent

  • my life soundtrack/..

  • Just one of the best horror movie themes of all time

  • Just one of the best horror movies of all time.

  • @RicochetReaper Hey, news flash : you can't dance to 80% of the songs of the world ! You can't dance to Yesterday or Imagine but they are still some of the best pop songs in history.

  • @RicochetReaper

Yeesh, can't downvote this guy enough.

  • Comment removed

  • @RicochetReaper implying that you're supposed to dance to horror movie music....facepalm...

  • It's a shame this just have 70,000 views while the shitty cover by justice have 1,5 million views.

  • salad eater! salad eater! salad eater!

  • I like thi more than Phantom, but I heard this first anyways so that could provide alot

  • I thought this song was a little too intense for Tenebre, but regardless its my favorite Goblin song and Tenebre is my favorite Argento movie, so... i really can't complain all that much :)

  • People, they're like different styles. So just sit back, relax and enjoy the music.

  • like this if you got to it from Gucci time, then Phantom

  • mi carica questa musica wow wow

  • @SALVATORE6251 eh peccato, che ora in italia, gira quella merda di gigi d'alessio, marco carta igienica, laura pausini scontata.. e altra merda schifosa

  • Justice inject this with some super-fly super charged TNT!!

  • anyone who hates on this tune is obviously new to the music

  • Even if Phantom contains a sample from Tenebre, I don't think this is a good reason to make any comparisons between two tracks. They simply are two completely different songs with different purposes.

  • @mMiGnO are you serious?

you are the reason why joke musicians like Justice thrive and succeed far beyond actual musicians.

i am all for sampling and creativity within electronic music, too

  • @svenghal I don't find it wrong with sampling and making a totally new tune with that sample. The only important condition is that you do it right. Which means that you have to "decontextualize" the sample from its original song. In other words, the more the sample (in this case, the tune) is not recognizable, the better :P

  • @mMiGnO Exactly. Stop drawing comparisons between Justice and Goblin- both are fantastic musical outfits, and Phantom and Tenebre fulfill two totally different purposes in the musical spectrum. Justice didn't sample Tenebre with the intention of 'competing' with Goblin, they sampled it to develop their own piece built on a totally different context and attitude.

  • what's not to like about that bass line

  • goblin is awesome tenebre my fav dario argento

  • While Justice's version of this song in "Phantom" is very good, "Tenebre" by Goblin is simply more complex. What Goblin's version lacks in heavy driving techno beat, it makes up for in complexity. Goblin offers "more", while Justice delivers heavy beat, often by simplifying this rather complex song.

  • @thebenolivas Justice is fucking shit techno shit fuck.

  • @foottothenuts Please. It's electro, not techno you freak.

  • Justice redid this song! and idc what u ppl say! it sounds better than this. Justice - Phantom Pt 1

  • ma ce credereste che qst fanno pure le musiche dei film der monezza ahah geni assolutii

  • @MrDavidino73 ma impara l'italiano frocio del cazzo

  • @ZigoZago1982 io so de roma e tu impara avive buffone de merda ahah

  • this is in justices xmis mix also

  • Goblin is awesome

  • All'epoca di Tenebre non esistevano più i Goblin, il disco è stato inciso da Simonetti, Morante e Pignatelli !!

The song Tenebre was makes only from Simonetti, Morante and Pignatelli and not from the Goblin!! The band had long since dissolved in 1982

  • What's the instrument that makes the main riff?

  • As good as this is (mad props to the guys who originally composed this), Phantom Part II by Justice takes this composition to the next level.

  • @itzwicks

To the next level? the destroyed it totaly.i would run amok if another band would take my composed song and turn it to an Disco/techno-whatelse shit song. What ever a Coverband do with a song from another Band, original is original and so the better version and the better composition. sorry for my bad english ;)

  • Listen to It's Gucci Time by Gucci Mane produced by Swizz Beats he samples this song too.

  • fuck justice

  • lol

  • This shit is bananas. I'm in love.

  • the original, u gotta pay hoomage

  • apples and pears

  • voice filtered with vocoder or similar machine: pauuraa pauuraa = PAURA (FEAR)

  • @Rednospunk , yeah this song has elements which are pretty genious, lke 2:05 brings more melody to the whole thing, though justice's version brings out the beat more and the bass to it is just pure awesomeness

  • wow this song is kinda slow.

i think justice just made it better

  • @ShoulderMonkeh : Phantom is way too simple if you look at the potential of the song, just listen to the progression... It's pure genius!

  • @ShoulderMonkeh

    this... is... original..

nothing is better than an original !!!

  • @ShoulderMonkeh because Goblin actually... you know... WROTE this. Justice just SAMPLED this. Don't get me wrong, I love Phantom, but without this, the Justice song wouldn't exist. Besides, the two songs are meant for completely different environments. Phantom wouldn't work as a horror movie soundtrack, and this wouldn't work in a dance club.

  • @ShoulderMonkeh If it wasn't for this the justice version wouldn't exist....this is super.

  • @ 0:54- Pure awesomeness.

  • justice-"phantom" eheheh ;)

  • pretty awesome song to be fair, ive listend to phantom 1 countless times and dont ever get bored of it and from this song i can understand why

  • quanti ricordi sto film!!!

  • normally with sampled songs I love the song that uses the sample, like justice's phantom but I love this song too!!

    Thanks uploader and GOBLIN!
