how does your pc runs with this 11.10?? i have a similar pc running 10.10 but i want the latest release and be sure how it will run .. but your video plays too fast and i cant watch how fine it works :S what do you think about ubuntu 11.10?
@sqtapnic so far, for me ubuntu 11.10 runs perfect on my pc. but it is quite a bit slow when it comes to video editing but for other applications it seems fine...

@myhustlerose get your self ubuntu tweak and look at the unity settings on the tweak section. there you will find the Launcher Opacity and Panel Opacity slider. slide it to your desire transparency, and you will get the glassy look you want.
Monday, Nov. 7 2011. My Intel Atom desktop running Ubuntu 11.04 is about to get an upgrade. After the release of Ubuntu 11.10 last October, its been...let say 2 weeks already since. And now I am ready to move on and upgrade my Ubuntu to the latest 11.10 release. It took me about 5 hours since my internet connection is only 1 MBPS very slow for a pc who needs a dose of upgrade. Waiting for it to be done. After that I will post another video on it. I will make the desktop identical to the netbook.

I use compiz setting manager to active the glassy look by going to the unity settings.
