Mothers and Fathers are men and women in the same way that we are all just people. There are single mothers and single fathers that raise children on their own and these children manage to turn out just fine. So placing a second male or a second female in to that family would give the single parent some help but i can't see how it would harm the child. Since the child can be raised by a single parent. Yes a homosexual couple that is raising children provides equal benefit to society.
We should definately teach our children that homosexual marraiges are equally acceptable for the exact same reason we should teach our children that it is ok to marry a different race. Legally and currently, civil unions are at the state level recieving state benefits, the actual benefits vary from place to place and only recognized in the States that allow them.
Marraiges are at the federal level recieving federal benefits, the benefits are recognized in the whole nation and the benefits are usually more favorable then those at civil unions.
Now if civil unions would be at a federal level they'd recieve the same benefits as a marriage. Homosexuals want those benefits.
So thats what the legislation should be targeting. Equal benefits for civil unions at federal levels as they are at state levels.
Let marriage stay between A man and woman as God intended, creating families, keeping it in the churches. The civil Unions can stay with the non religious political bureaucrats.

Haiderman, Prop 8 did *not* protect all families. I have two gay dads, and they were married after being together for over 25 years. Prop 8 took away the right of similar couples to marry. Children growing up in same-sex households deserve the exact same protections and benefits as children of married heterosexual couples. But in most states, we still are not equally protected. I just doesn't see how sexuality has an effect on raising children. It's not like they having sex with the kids. A man and a woman provide both the same quality to a child: financial support, a home, and emotional stability. Mothers and Fathers are men and women in the same way that we are all just people. There are single mothers and single fathers that raise children on their own and these children manage to turn out just fine. So placing a second male or a second female in to that family would give the single parent some help but i can't see how it would harm the child. Since the child can be raised by a single parent. Yes a homosexual couple that is raising children provides equal benefit to society.

Legally and currently, civil unions are at the state level recieving state benefits, the actual benefits vary from place to place and only recognized in the States that allow them.
Marraiges are at the federal level recieving federal benefits, the benefits are recognized in the whole nation and the benefits are usually more favorable then those at civil unions.
Now if civil unions would be at a federal level they'd recieve the same benefits as a marriage. Homosexuals want those benefits.

My religion and other churches practice gay marrige under the mantel of the priest, performed in the name of God.
If your church doesn't share this view, that is perfectly fine, you have the rights to deny marraige.

Thats not the topic in question. It's not being disputed. But what is in question is that if Nambla had its way, it would be protected in its abuse.
The issue here, as I stated before, is that this entire issue is not a religious issue. Its a political economic attack by the minority to force the majority into a corner, so they can dismantle whats left of an already decomposing America. If America is destroyed it won't be by a foreign invasion, or military. It will be by Americans & we see it.

Haiderman, Prop 8 did *not* protect all families. I have two gay dads, and they were married after being together for over 25 years. Prop 8 took away the right of similar couples to marry. Children growing up in same-sex households deserve the exact same protections and benefits as children of married heterosexual couples. But in most states, we still are not equally protected. Gay families are being stigmatized and left out.

Well lets see. I think marijuana should be legal. But I am not free to smoke it because if i get caught i go to jail. There, my freedom is being taken away. And marijuana is not near as deadly as is homosexual behavior. The homosexual suicide rate is still outta site. Just like drug addicts... homosexuals suffer from high rates of depression and suicidal tendencies. The only group that has similar suicide rates is heroin addicts.
