Out of my big family and big time gamers none of my brother Xboxs red ringed. We still play on one that is date 2005. Five brothers five xboxes no red ring. We game like crazy too. Just don't get it. This talk of Red ring is so old. I keep watching and waiting for one of ours to die... Nothing! Thanks Youtube for all the unneccessary worry. How many people are missing out on an excellent gaming experience because of this?

if you have a xbox and it does NOT have RROD (yet, lol, lucky) sell it on eBay or at a pawn shop as fast as you can, and buy a ps3 slim. The old (fat) model ps3 is unstable with the ylod, and the disk eject problems. The new ps3 is heavily tested (lol at this video) showing proof that it is rock-solid, showing no signs of ylod in the far future. xbox<PS3 FTW!!!!

The repair isn't free, Microsoft pay for it and lose profit in the process. Not good business practice.

And what happens when your 3 year warranty runs out? I asked myself this question when I suffered the Red Rings and faulty disk tray. 3 years isn't a long time and I couldn't see myself paying year after year for repairs as well as Xbox Live so I sold it for a PS3.

A year and a half later, my PS3 is still humming along without a single complaint, it's an exceptional piece of hardware.

I want a PS3 my self, but you don't need a warranty for red light of death.. Even if your Xbox doesn't have a red light you can call up Microsoft and claim it does, and they will exchange it for another one(sometimes new).. Just takes 2 weeks for them to send you a box.. You put ur Xbox in the box and send it to them and they send it back 4 weeks later

and ya they lose profits, but Microsoft is so big that the government had to put a restriction on how much money it can make! like lol...

@biznitchy420z do some research and look for comparisons for graphics on PS3 and Xbox360. There was a review that I read on a 360vsPS3 article where they interviewed some major game devolopers... and they stated that games are made usually for the 360 FIRST, and then ported to PS3 afterwards, which usually results in a little bit of loss due to lack of directX.

reasons why XBOX360 is better:

1: It links flawlessly with Windows Media Center.

2: The PS3 is at the moment unhackable, so you have to pay for all your games.

3: The PS3 has no VIDEO CARD. That's right, it does software rendering for all it's graphics and does not utilize directX10, which is why whenever a game is released on both consoles, the XBOX version looks better (mainly because the PS3 lacks anti-aliasing).

4: Xbox Live is far superior to PSN. You get what you pay for.

@everyone wow I didn't expect to get so many replies lol. Just do a little research and you will see that all of these are true. My ONLY complaint about the 360 are the controllers... I think PS3 has the upper hand there (but only there). Although that is purely subjective, and I'll admit 360 controllers feel better for FPS (though nothing can beat mouse/keyboard for that).

I just wanna say that, the PS3 graphics about anti-aliasing, doesn't really bother me. Yes, maybe 360's online is better, but in the other hand, PSN is free, & I have aboslutely no problems with it being that it "sucks". 360 graphics don't look better jsut because one thing PS3 doesn't have. It depends what game also. Just to clear things up. I'm not saying 360 is bad btw.

heres jst a few of many things why ps3 is better: free online play,blu ray player, built in wifi, more powerful hardware, blu ray game disc which capable of 50 gigs(dual layer) of game data which means more textures instead of xbox 9 gig disc, ps3 looks sexy,xbox looks like a boring dell, no ads like on xbox dash, very quiet when on, better reliability,no rrod.better games, so in actual fact ur gettin far more for ur money wen buying a ps3!
