  • Will the latest motherboards fit into a 2006 HP Pavillion?

  • No Stand Off for MotherBoard = Short Out your Component..

  • when i typed in how to build a motherboard, i was hopeing som1 would have a video of a computer he made out of 9v batteries and copper wire... lol...

  • @askmiller lol woot, build ur own motherboard... that would be HARDCORE

  • wow the idiot can count!

  • dont do what he did! if you dont ground you self ur destroy you motehrboard and u cant use it! so before you do anything ground your self. you can do that by getting an anti static brace.!

  • yea and they are only like 3 bucks so just do it to be safe

  • He is working on a antstatic pad.

  • thats not the only way.....

dont flame and be retarded if you dont know everything

  • SVTFilms

ive build tond of pcs ... i never used an anti static brace and i never destroyed a mother board or a cpu ...

and btw .. if you mount the psu , switch the psu of and plug the psu into an ac outlet you will be grounded

    dont talk unless your expirienced

  • umm ya. you can do that to. its very rare to destroy your pc. i already knew that so i do have experience

  • and i dont think he didnt any of that.

  • Dont talk unless you know how to spell.

Lol jk but i thought i would just throw it out there lol

  • ems braces are mostly for doing commercial, but its still considered good practise...and ya thats how i do it...switch on my psu and then touch any part of the metal case to discharge ems...but when working in a shop you WILL break many computers without being safe...the most important time to use them is working CRT monitors lol holy shit...

  • OR install the psu , connect it and set the switch to off

  • Kill me.\Test 1

  • Would be nice if you told about the standoffs first.

  • Have fun with your new expensive fried motherboard!

  • lol nor really, i don't even see a pci'e slot!

  • Yeah I think I see one. It's the very top slot it's black, but I think that's pci-e.

  • no, its an AGP slot the motherboard is about 6 years old.

  • wow you shouldnt call yourself an expert...no ESD antistatic mats or anything, as well as a magnetic screwdriver...this vid shows nothing but screwing in a motherboard and possible frying it without even knowing, theyres more to installing a motherboard than screws....fail.

  • i know!!!!!

  • So true.

  • Absolutely correct. He didn't even say anything about ESD precautions at all.

So if i didn't know the rules and followed only his video, i could easily damage something and never know until i tried to power it on.

maybe these videos aren't for beginners?

  • Actually, he DID mention ESD precautions. He mentioned it in an earlier video. He should have numbered the videos so people do things in the right order and so people don't miss out on certain topics (like ESD precautions). I believe he talked about them in the video explaining what tools you'll need.

  • He shouldnt have to tell you about ESD, its common sense for anyone attempting to build a computer that ESD ruins certain parts. So unless you're an absolute moron that has no business inside a computer, you dont need him to show you. Jesus, talk about needing someone to hold your hand.

  • And who might you be, my kind autistic gentlemen?

  • should u put the cpu before the motherbord is screwed in or after???

  • doesn't matter

  • but he shoulda put the heatsink on before

  • When I built my gaming pc, I put it in and then added the heatsink for my E2220.

  • Comment removed

  • funny video lets chat

    this video was good 28

  • what did you do before the show? pull apart some old 1994 computer? but i guess i's just showing some people how to put together a computer O_O if thats what that is

  • wow, what a crappy pc

  • not very expert. fail.

  • Holy shit dude, put a bloody disclaimer on your vids or something. I watched this to see how you ground yourself when putting in the motherboard (I've installed many, just curious about other methods), but instead I see you didn't ground yourself at all! Also you don't even mention putting the stands in, which if you don't you fry the PSU at best and the mobo at worst (I did this one on my first install).

  • fail \=

  • Wouldn`t let this guy within 10 feet of my pc.He didnt show anything about putting the mounts into the pc for the mobo to sit on, which if they`re in the wrong place could fry your mobo etc. Also didn`t even wear an anti static wrist band so that pc there could just die within days, weeks due to static build up in his body entering the mobo. I cringed when he ran his fingers over the thing.

  • are mounts necessary?

  • Yeah, they are necessary because thats what keeps the back of the motherboards soldered parts from shorting out on the pc case. The result of which at best would be that the pc didn`t work and at worst could damage every part of the pc, not only the motherboard but all the other components aswell.

  • o ok, thanks im building my pc tomorrow. it came with these copper standoffs what holes do i put them in?

  • Are there any complete tutorials that show how to build a PC? So far, all of the videos I have found just show how to plug in hardware, often ommitting important steps like those you pointed out. None of them have shown how to set-up, test, or troubleshoot the system. Any video or website links that would be helpful for beginners would be great....thanks.

  • hey, you might want to tell them that you have to put your motherboard mounts on first. beginners dont know what "brass screws" are.

  • Can someone tell me a recommended mobo for the black mid tower computer case?

  • what are you looking to build?

  • where is the proccessor in the motherboared? please please answer

  • if you have already assembeled comp, look for a big aluminum or sometimes cooper piece sticking out of mobo. the CPU is under that thing. if you have bare mobo, look for a small square space with lots of needles in it.

  • the cpu is under that fan right there on the mobo

  • my case (coolermaster cosmos s) has a wire for front panel audio and firewire and esata, but on the asus q connector you can only put ide led power sw, and reset sw. where does the front audio and esata go?

  • can anybody tell me a good motherboard that will take alot of ram? as in alot i mean 4 mabye 8 gb worth of it, and that can ship to england, thanks, great vid v helpful

  • 8 gb is useless,, 2 or 4 is more than enough;) put your money in your processor and graphic card;)

  • great tutorial video, you might want to mention to use an anti-static discharge bracelet or something that discharges the static electricity.

  • It would be great if there was a list of which videos came first...

  • nice one!

  • Thanks. Gonna make mine after I get all the parts.

  • Great vid, and you keep comming out with more! this helped me alot
