Stopping dairy seriously helped my face, but the real thing that helped me out was that I stopped eating all animal products- Eggs, meat, etc, and stopped eating bread. After about a week of that and a lot of raw vegetables my face looks absolutely fantastic even without makeup :) I get complimented on my clear perfect skin even when I'm not wearing any makeup. (And as someone with very pale skin, just a tiny break out can really stand out!) I've also felt EXTREMELY healthy!
Amazing information! I think you have a very valid point, and, for me at least, I am willing to cut out dairy (and I'm thinking sugar, too). There was one time someone cooked a very cheesy casserole and I tried eating some of it but I literally felt sick to my stomach and wanted to throw up when trying to ingest the cheesyness. . Interesting- maybe my body's trying to send me a message. I LOVE CHOCOLATE MILK, THOUGH. Maybe I'll just eat a square of dark chocolate every day, instead :)
I went dairy free for acne about 12 months ago. and it has really made a big difference in my moderate acne. I have noticed the difference in my back and body first and then on my face. it went from daily new pimples to weekly. and even then I feel like the only new acne I am getting is the occasional blocked pore from makeup. I have stopped getting any clusters. Dairy free is the best thing I ever did for my skin.
@hulahoop87 A vegan diet has made your skin great? Wow, I am thrilled to hear that. I am not an active vegan but I will be. What are your reasons? Skin? Weight management? Animal rights? Health encouragement? Just like it more? For me it's a combination. But I love this great news. Well done!!
@theserajayne Yes I use to get acne on my cheeks. big painful ones. after going vegan my skin cleared up beautifully. I did it for ethical reasons, but the health and beauty benefits have been great two. I also avoid food with preservatives. I drink lots of water (zero soda) and eat fresh fruit. hope this helps.
tried this! i have never been much of a milk drinker, but to add some more protein into my diet i decided to start drinking a glass of milk each morning. after a few days my acne flared up like crazyyy!!! i got such horrible acne >< so I stopped because i was like "oh my gosh, what the heck is going on?!" so i stopped and the acne quickly subsided when i stopped drinking milk completely. now i notice that even if i just drink it once, i wake up the next morning with pimples :/ YUCK!
i like your theory. on a sidenote: early humans lived from hunting. sure they collected whatever fruits and vegetables they could find but the main source of their nutrition was MEAT. the first homo sapiens in africa were not likely to find a lot of (chewable/digestible) vegetables/fruits. there are theories that state the human brain could develop due to animal protein. :) so maybe not what you had in mind, miss vegetarian? ;)
@AllChintzAndFluff That's... Actually not true. When you hear of the stories passed down in tribes, humans were actually the hunted, not the hunter. People often cite Native Americans or African tribes, but the silly thing is, when you talk to people from those native backgrounds they usually ate meat because it was "left over" or they were literally starving. Vegetables, nuts, berries, fruits, and sometimes fish were always what they'd take over elk or whatever.
@CidRunsFunny my brother studied evolution theories in oxford (true story:)) and this is what he told me. he mentioned vegans don't believe in it. i do believe that they hunted because there is evidence such as old hunting instruments and paintings in caves. also the vegetation in africa (where first sapiens lived) was not very vegetarian-friendly. i'm not saying they didn't want to eat fruits, just that they couldn't find a lot of it. feel free to believe whatever, both are theories.
@AllChintzAndFluff The very interesting thing about evolution theory courses are that the professors often don't have much training in nutrition, even at high profile schools. It's actually really well presented in that he didn't know brain growth is linked to amino acids found in protein, not the dense protein that comes from meat which contains next to none. :\ And yes, they did hunt, and use furs, bones, etc. But like I said, the meat was consumed as not to be wasteful.
@CidRunsFunny "Amino acids are the chemical units that constitute protein. You can get complete proteins from eating meat, fish, eggs and dairy products such as milk etc. Incomplete proteins come from beans, nuts, peas, grains, seeds and other vegetables, as these foods aren't as protein-dense as meats." you need both "incomplete" and "complete" proteins in your diet. saying that meat is not rich in amino acids is kinda crazy, i'm sorry.
@AllChintzAndFluff Looks at the absorption of amino acids, and break down rate of protein in raw plant vs. animal. I didn't say meat didn't have any, but in comparison it's extremely low. Also you're probably looking at the levels found in cooked plant protein, which is drastically lower than when it's still in it's raw state. (A lot of research fails to mention that they usually melt it down before research and tests can be done. In which case, yes, meat wins out.)
So many wrong things you said. Cows are not milked several times a day, only once or twice a day maximum, and because they need it, whether there're feeding a calf or not. Every time they are milked, they're desinfected so they don't develop infections. And when they do, they are not milked. So getting blood and/or pus in a milk sample is quite low considering the large amounts of toxins in vegetables. Natural hormones are good, we need them, we're humans and omnivores, not ruminants.
@sabellumm This is actually a somewhat common misconception. The sad part is, a lot of milk farms DON'T follow the practices they claim to in order to turn a higher profit. I'm not saying every farm does so, but most major conventional farms have and will continue to be caught exploiting their animals for a higher profit. Small local organic farms ftw. :) Also worth noting that pasteurizing the milk makes it lose a lot of the nutrients a human omnivore depends on.
Going dairy free worked for me. I still eat yogurt, ice cream and butter occasionally but I don't go overboard because if I do, break out city! I have completely switched to almond milk.
i used to have pretty severe acne and i tried creams, neutrogena, clean and clear, proactiv, you name it! i heard from a friend that dairy can cause acne. i immediately began drinking organic milk because it has minimal to no hormones, and my skin cleared within two weeks. it doesnt work for everybody, and i understand this, but give it a try.. i still have scars and i obviously get breakouts about once every two weeks, but that's usually from other causes. good luck!
I've been a vegan for two years and before going vegan I had moderate acne. Now I have none save the occasional hormonal pimple. My boyfriend had really terrible acne until he went vegan. Veganism is amaaaaaazing!
Instead of giving up all diary on the first day, I just stopped drinking milk first. Then I would move on to not eating cheese and etc etc. After a week or two, my acne actually decreased a bit. Now I'm avoiding milk-based products as well which further decreased my acne! Right now, I still have a few pimples here and there, but it's gotten SO much better than before. So to sum it all up, I would DEFINITELY recommend avoiding dairy but at a slower, easier pace so you can get used to it. C:
Have you considered DietOramy meal plan? Have you seen about it? I have located it at random by searching around and that solution is simply astounding... So i'm losing my accumulated fat as well as sensing in top condition.
I actually, got my face really clear after stop eating any dairy! I ate it again and I got the bumps again! But i guess it depends on the person, but dairy-free diet worked for me!
my nutritionist told me to go dairy free, but it was almost impossible considering that almost every food contains some kind of dairy. I didn't notice anything dramatically different in the three weeks that i went dairy free, so I really don't think dairy has such a big affect on acne. You might discover a dairy allergy though! It doesnt hurt to try this method out
I honestly wish that I had found your channel before I took Isotroin to cure my acne, watching your videos I really think that I could have tried less invasive methods if I knew all this information.
Your videos are amazing and I honestly wish all the best for you because you are an inspiration (:
I went dairy free for 1 week... Couldn't go any longer lol but my skin cleared up sooo much. Now I just lowered my dairy intake and my skin did improve
You are so very intelligent! I discovered you channel about two weeks ago I've been going through your previous videos and I have to say I have learned so much from you. Thank you.
I went COMPLETELY dairy-free for about 2 weeks and it really helped my skin! :) I still try to avoid dairy as much as I can everyday but sometimes I have to give in. My skin looks SO much better after I stopped consuming so much dairy :) I hope it is still helping your skin too! Good Luck Cassy :D
Cow milk is not healthy at all.. it DECREASES, not increases calcium levels in our bones etc. same with fat, it is not unhealthy at all as long as you don't eat huge amounts of carbohydrates! you should see that: watch?v=UVEiYwFvKvU
Hey! My story is that i stopped consuming dairy about a month ago and i can tell that my acne as significantly cleared up. it is still there but it has definatly cleared up. and it really wasnt that hard. i use to have like three glasses of milk a day and a bunch of cheese and i loved it but it really wasnt hard at all to stop
@TammiLee Started using different treatments when I experienced side effects from some antibiotics. My acne was severe with very large and painful cysts on my forehead, cheek and chin.. After 1week of taking everything cleared up.. Anyway, im talking about the site StopAcneNow.co.cc
Cutting out dairy would be the last thing I do. However, I do mainly consume raw milk (benefits of living on a farm) which is better than what you'll get in a grocery store. A friend of mine did an experiment where he only drank milk from open cows (not rebred) and it helped him too. The less processed food we ate, the better our skin looks.
i'm lactose intolerant, but i only found out a year ago. it's pretty hard to go without dairy, but i do my best! anyways, i used to have bad acne (though not as bad as you used to on the pictures you showed), and i'm going to say i never noticed much of a difference when i stopped eating dairy products, but it's different for everybody. a friend of mine did this dairy free and her skin cleared up pretty fast (in a month, i think!) good luck! keep it up!
I'm OBSESSED with milk, I drink probably more than three cups a day, but this video has inspired me! I'm going to try and do this with you Cassandra :)
I've been seeing a dermatologist since I was 14, been on many antibiotics both oral and topical, some of which helped, but I never could reach a breakthrough with my acne. When I became a vegetarian and realized I was lactose intolerant, my dairy in-take when down a lot. Between the loss of meat and limited intake of cheese, milk products, etc. my skin has never been clearer.
I've been on dairy-free diet for almost a year now, and I can tell you that my skin got much better (I could see the results in only a few weeks):))
I still do have acne problems, but when I compare it to those I used to have, it's really much better now. I've been drinking soy milk, but since I noticed my skin condition getting worse again when drinking a lot of it, I switched to oat milk and it's ok now :)
you can eat chocolate that doesn't contain milk :) it's that dark chocolate that's mostly used for cooking, but you can also find it with almonds, orange, hazelnuts etc. it may not be as delicious as milk chocolate, but hey..better than no chocolate :D at least for me..
I gave up dairy 5 years ago and my face has been mostly clear ever since. I still eat some cheese and don't read all labels so it probably explains why I still have minor breakouts occasionally. I just wish I would've done it sooner and saved myself from all of the bad scarring the acne left behind.
U should totally be on the paleo diet!!!! No dairy, sugars, grains, beans, or lugoons. Just meat, fruits, veggies, natural spices, coconut, nuts, berries, and some oils like olive!!!! It has reallly helped with my acne!!!!
For ice cream, there is something called Coconut Milk Ice Cream!!! OH, and this is something different, but coconut oil is amazing. You can moisturize your skin and it's not greasy and you can stir-fry veggies. It's really good. It's just a natural oil like olive oil, but it's less greasy and tastes sweeter.
oh, I wanted to add to my last comment that she and I live together, so I had to go through this with her! It sounds tough, but it isn't as hard as you think. Well, we don't get to eat cheesy casseroles which are like the American mom's staple dinner next to take-out. haha. Now we eat a lot of fruit and veggies and smoothies, also stir-fry meals, soups, chilis, etc. When we eat burgers, pizza or tacos, we just leave off the cheese for her. Did you know you can order a pizza without cheese?
My sister had bad acne and then she changed her diet and her acne really cleared up. She cut out most dairy and she would have almond milk or soy milk. Now she gets "raw" milk both cow and goat from a local farm. She found that the raw milk doesn't cause a problem (as long as she drinks in moderation, but just a little of the store milk can cause a break-out). And she cut out most junk food, sodas, and sugars and her health has improved so much. People don't even realize how poisonous it is.
Ima take out dairy from my diet starting today and hopefully gets rid of my acne, ill probably leave another comment in like a couple weeks to tell you about my results :) Hopefully I stay strong and can last that long lol gl with your diet :)
I love dairy & I had pretty bad acne, it's slowly going away without me having to take dairy away from my diet. My best friend hates cheese & milk and hardly eats yogurt and she has acne.
More specifically: I gave up, dairy, gluten, and refined sugars three years ago, and I have been consistently acne-free ever since (except for a few very minor breakouts)
I did dairy free last year around this time, and my skin was really clear as well as my scars where healing. I was also eating tons of baby carrots (2 bags a week) at the time just because they're tasty (which I just learned help heal scars). So I think both combined it helped. Somewhere along the line I fell off the no-dairy I can't remember how..but It probably went something like "oh, I haven't had dairy in a while, I'll just have this one little piece it won't hurt me"
So basically for the months in between then it got really bad. Then I had this allergic reaction to counterfeit bbcream and it became the worst I've ever had in my life. I thought I was doomed, and I was thinking "my skin was so nice last winter, what was I doing?" and then I remembered telling my friends all the time back then "oh I can't have any of that, it's dairy" I was also semi-off sugar like things high in sugar. SO a few weeks ago I immediately stopped eating cheese or using any dairy..
I have been No-dairy for two weeks, low sugar intake, and I drink Coconut Milk because I heard Coconut Milk is good nourishment for skin...and I've seen a huge difference! My skin is clear of the "pustules" I was getting all over (those were scary)! Tip # 2: Try Aubrey's Organics . Her stuff is a god send miracle for your skin. I use daily: Neautrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask w/ a drop of her jojoba oil, then the Algea and grape seed kit. <--they're all like mineral moisturizers.
Organic Rose-Hip Oil on my eyelids and lips everyday+night to heal dryness and some rough skin form dermatitis I had from the fake bb cream reaction. And tiny dabs on any scars will help them heal faster! Make-up: I use Lioele BB Cream! If you don't know about "BB Creams" look it up, they're really wonderful! I think SKin79 Dream Girls BB Cream is good for healing, Lioele (Triple The Solution) is also great (the one I use now). Just BE VERY careful you do NOT get a "counterfeit"..
wow this is so informative i noticed this past week i havent been drinkin milk much lately and this wasnt on purpose....but i havent been breakin as much these days!!!! i hope to keep this up and hope there will be an improvement... aw but I LOVEEE MILK!! ill go for almond milk =P
OMG i really didn't know milk had all that stuff....I'm so glad i barley drink milk now! haha but i think this is actually true!!
When i was younger like i used to have cereal for breakfast every morning and i always put a LOT of milk in it and drank it all, eventually during pre-teen years i had TREMENDESLY horrible acne! all over my forehead and around the areas you had...
Eventually though for some odd reason i stopped eating cereal and drinking milk, now i don't have sever acne like before
i don't know if i should start doing this. i am a BIG dairy person. i have like 2 glasses of milk a day and countless amount of cheese. my mom is a big supporter of dairy too. she pushes me to eat it all the time. i want to start this but i know my mom won't approve. keep me updated on how much this helps your acne and if it helps your acne at all so maybe i can consider trying it too!
P.S if you go dairy free what would you eat in return for the lost nutrition? any suggestions?
@n3verh0pe Hey dalrin! thats EXACTLY how my paernts are. For nutrition, I love almond milk! it has more calcium than milk :) nuts in general are good, fish and seafood, spinach etc. they are all high in cacium,a nd have good amounts of protein/healthy fats:)
@DiamondsAndHeels14 omg thank you so much! i just started going dairy free too and so far it has been doing wonders for my skin and my body in general! i guess were in this together now lovely lolxx
@n3verh0pe Dairy doesn't help acne, in most cases it causes it to be worse. In most cases dairy causes acne b/c now cows are pumped with steroids to cause hormonal bursts to produce more milk and meat. The body has a really hard time digesting dairy and will often cause more breakouts and problems. I recommend rice, almond, or coconut milk. I have made a few videos on this too.
@acneerasingsecrets what is rice milk? lol i have never heard of that before but it sounds cool! but i was wondering my doctor prescribed me antibiotics to help with my acne but isn't that also bad for you body..? :/
@n3verh0pe It's milk made from rice, you can get ti pretty much anywhere now. Antibiotics do cause problems and aren't good for the body. They kill both the good and bad bacteria in the body and you need the good bacteria (aka: probiotics) to clear up the skin for good... this is why an antibiotic will never clear acne and is a waste of time. Your body isn't deficient in an antibiotic, it's simply missing nutrients that it needs to create healthy clear skin and the junk get's in the way.
@n3verh0pe I have made a lot of videos sharing a lot of advice and also give away a report on my facebook page to help you get started clearing up your skin... check it out when you get a chance!
@acneerasingsecrets Thanks so much! Your videos are so helpful. You really do know a lot. You should be a dermatologist if you aren't one already haha(:
@n3verh0pe lol, I'm sorta like that I just do all the research and learning from home and am not certified! but a lot of people are getting clear skin following my advice... I've done it before too so I know it works :)
EVERYONE who is watching this, especially females, if u give up dairy, u need to seek out other places to fulfill ur recommended daily intake of calcium to keep u healthy, it can be taken in pill form, but it is so so so so soo important to still get calcium, especially for your bones, you can ONLY build up and build up your bones while you are young and growing around 40ish you cant build up your bone strength and they start deteriorating (osteoporosis, and why older people break bones easily)
That's awesome that dieting worked for you too. It's crazy how many people think that diets have nothing to do with acne when they obviously do. Just weeks after I fixed my diet, I started seeing similar results as you.
i just got told im lactose toleratante today (if anyone knows how to actually spell that please tell me cause i have no clue ! ) so lucky for me, i hope it works because i have bad acne too ):
Im honestly thrilled I have found your videos!! I didn't know or even think about milk, it really grossed me out 0_o .... anyways Im definitely going to do this with you and everyone else on here, no dairy is hard I LOVE cheese lol. and side note I have acne its practically clear but... I have alot of red acne scars and I did watch your video on it but I didn't pop them, so do you have any idea on how to at least lighten them? This would mean alot :) Thanks for great and informal videos!!!
i LOVE cream cheese.. and cheese on my turkey and CHEESE sandwiches lol
i've been getting soy in my starbucks drinks because it costs 60 cents but its free with the gold card and it makes me feel special because it's free for me lol
i've also heard news stories about the hormones in milk making younger girls breasts develop earlier and eventually larger because of artificial hormones in milk that have been used more recently
Once I stopped eating and drinking dairy a couple years ago my acne definitely improved, i still get pimple, but they definitely aren't as bad! good luck! xo
Hi gorgeous! I have been acne for like.. let's say at least 6 years and I really have tried EVERYTHING. So i was really happy when I saw your videos! 'Cause i have not tried dairy-free food. But I'm not from the US, so I don't know what dairy-free means ): Could you please explain it? Well I guess it is something without things in milk or something? I drink goatmilk now, because my mom spoke to a friend of hers and said this might help against acne and my constipation.. I hope it will work! Love
Hey Cutie!,, i live on a farm and my mum told me to put raw goat milk on my face when i get acne!. and honestly i have been acne free for a while cuz i am doing allot of skin care.. I use April skin care stuff(it is awesome) and i don't use much makeup( i know how you need makup to feel good about yourself But try to use less(or non) on days when ur at home and stuff. drink lots of water!, avoid fats and sugar! and-d-dd Please update on the acne!!. Hope it's getting better!<3 Ur vids!
Yes! Give up the dairy! Gluten might be a good one to give up too. I suffered from very bad acne myself, and then I gave up dairy and gluten, and stopped washing my face with anything but water and following up with a tea tree oil toner, and it was like magic! I suffered for over a decade...I couldn't believe the cure was basically free.
I agree; going dairy-free made a huge difference for me. I am only now starting to avoid most grains (especially wheat and stuff), but do notice a difference. Honestly, how could you go wrong by avoiding refined grains and junk food anyway, right?
Hi cutie! I have a question.. what about rice milk or almond milk? I really love milk and I dont think i can stop drinking it unless i am replacing it with something else... what do you think?
@DiamondsAndHeels14 Hi lovey! I'm hooked on your videos, you have the cutest personality and you are so sweet! Just curious, why do you call Chai, Cha?
I have had severe acne for quite a few years now and it has cleared up in the past six months due to a combination of medications and products but I have gone dairy free and it did help tremendously. My skin is now clear. Good luck with going dairy free.<3
I am a lifelong vegetarian, and have changed my diet a few times to see if I have a diet-acne relationship. I have done a Candida-Free diet, vegan, sugar/dairy free, and Phytic Acid-Free diet. I went on all diets for more than one month, and the dairy/sugar one for probably around 5 months. Unfortunately, I couldnt see any changes--good or bad--in my acne... I think it's strange how both of us are Vegetarians and have bad acne. I have heard that maybe soy could be an acne culprit :((
I have gone dairy free and it did help clear up my skin. However, I was also taking a million different (okay 7!) vitamin pills and eating zero acidic foods (tomatoes, citrus etc). I drank rice milk instead, that was okay. I ate LOADS of green vegetables - and tofu. I went off that in about 3 months but my skin was 97% clear - I still got the odd pimple or two. I could live with that. I am now trying pills skinB5 and it really is working for me (first month for me though) good luck
hello i just want to know if my face will clear up in water fasting for 3 eays. i honestly dont have any pimples but i have like 2 bumps on my fore head. PLEASE respong <3 (:
The only thing that can cause acne is, if you eat or drink TOO MUCH of something, believe me, since I started to eat smaller portions and drink A LOT of water my skin looked perfect, just drink 1,5 - 2 liters of water each day, try for at least a week, and don't drink soda, or eat chocolate,icecream,candies..all that stuff, nothing with sugar in it or fat, it WILL make a difference!
you still better be not eating or drinking any dairy! i havent been drinking any milk and pretty much nothing with dairy. ive had acne for a year. it was worse...i guess i could say the bumps are going away, just red marks left from them. I heard Vitamin B5 is great for acne, it reduces the amount of oils formed for your skin...well i guess the bad oils, so ive been trying to eat foods high in B5...such as eggs...brocolli...dark green veges<3
@yotakrawlerr Yummyyy vitamin B! lol! i have been doing it! dairy update soon! been eating other junk tho so i feel like a failure... un-healthy you know? Like hmmm to cheeseless taco is cheeseless. ill have 5. BAD IDEA SAYS MY STOMACH!!
Maybe you would benefit from looking into raw food? I know it has helped a lot of people in many different ways and it sounds a little like you're already on your way towards it :)
Another thing that, I think is worth taking into consideration about the whole milk thing, is that it's not normal to drink it when you stop being a child. Like you said when we are babies we need our mothers milk to grow but I don't know any other animal that drinks milk their whole life. And we don't even drink th
HAVE YOU SEEN MISSKASSANDRABOOKS CHANNEL WHEN SHE TALKS ABOUT HER ACNE STORY.? SHE DEICDED TO CUT OFF HER DAIRY PRODUCTS AND IT HELPED HER TREMENDOUSLY!!! ALSO, SHE HAD VERY BAD ACNE AND TRIED EVERYTHING ON THE MARKET! WATCH IT, IT IS VERY INSPIRING TO START DAIRY-FREE DIET )))
Alright ffiinnee you convinced me, I'm going dairy free! :) Thanks to you I've been DF for 3 days and I'm really enjoying it.
I've substituted my milk with organic rice and soy milk, I have soy yoghurt, and I found Tofutti products which substitute cheese and cream cheese as well.
I'm not missing it at all, and I just feel I have more control of what I'm consuming! Feels good.
I'll let you know how it goes with my acne, after 3 days it's not as angry (but we shall see!) x
@GirlOnQ wow darlin, thats fabulous!!!! :) i cant wait to hear how it works for you!!!! ive been goin great, and its actualy not that bad!!! I REALLY HOPE I DIDNT SLIP UP THO BECAUSE I ATE CHOCOLATE THEN I WAS LIKE OHHAWLNO AND OUT IT DOWN...... sure hope it didnt have milk in it! now im scared! :/
Dairy does cause acne.. I have been on a low fat (no oil!!), low glycemic index, VEGAN diet. My skin has NEVER been better. It is hard in the beginning, but so so worth it! Good luck, you can do it!
I dislike milk, I just hate how it tastes and so I only eat it with my cereal, and I don't really like cheese. My acne isn't even noticeable without makeup.
@Soniahg1988 -- Americans have among the highest osteoporosis rates in the world, while their dairy intake is also among the highest. If you take in plant based protein, you will be able to get enough calcium from greens, beans, or fortified foods.
It's not just dairy in your diet that will cause breakouts. I used to have awful acne and I've learned to cut out things that effect my skin personally. Factors may or may not be the same for different people.
I'm also severely lactose intolerant so I've been dairy free for years. I honestly hate it. ):
If I could just go to the grocery store and buy anything I wanted it would be amazing, but bring dairy free takes a LOT of research, discipline and hard work.
TRUST me i have acne like you and i tried a lot of products and its ok if you want to try a dairy diet but to clear your face you can use tea tree oil making a toner with it, it is helping me with my acne i don't breakout too much like before and my face is smoother hope you try this too and please let me know if this helps you
lol government :)

CidRunsFunny 1 week ago
@CidRunsFunny my brother studied evolution theories in oxford (true story:)) and this is what he told me. he mentioned vegans don't believe in it. i do believe that they hunted because there is evidence such as old hunting instruments and paintings in caves. also the vegetation in africa (where first sapiens lived) was not very vegetarian-friendly. i'm not saying they didn't want to eat fruits, just that they couldn't find a lot of it. feel free to believe whatever, both are theories.
AllChintzAndFluff 1 week ago
@AllChintzAndFluff The very interesting thing about evolution theory courses are that the professors often don't have much training in nutrition, even at high profile schools. It's actually really well presented in that he didn't know brain growth is linked to amino acids found in protein, not the dense protein that comes from meat which contains next to none. :\ And yes, they did hunt, and use furs, bones, etc. But like I said, the meat was consumed as not to be wasteful.
CidRunsFunny 1 week ago
@CidRunsFunny "Amino acids are the chemical units that constitute protein. You can get complete proteins from eating meat, fish, eggs and dairy products such as milk etc. Incomplete proteins come from beans, nuts, peas, grains, seeds and other vegetables, as these foods aren't as protein-dense as meats." you need both "incomplete" and "complete" proteins in your diet. saying that meat is not rich in amino acids is kinda crazy, i'm sorry.
AllChintzAndFluff 1 week ago
@AllChintzAndFluff Looks at the absorption of amino acids, and break down rate of protein in raw plant vs. animal. I didn't say meat didn't have any, but in comparison it's extremely low. Also you're probably looking at the levels found in cooked plant protein, which is drastically lower than when it's still in it's raw state. (A lot of research fails to mention that they usually melt it down before research and tests can be done. In which case, yes, meat wins out.)

Don't go dairy free, just be moderate, that's the way to a healthy life, especially if you're not dairy intolerant.
sabellumm 1 month ago
So many wrong things you said. Cows are not milked several times a day, only once or twice a day maximum, and because they need it, whether there're feeding a calf or not. Every time they are milked, they're desinfected so they don't develop infections. And when they do, they are not milked. So getting blood and/or pus in a milk sample is quite low considering the large amounts of toxins in vegetables. Natural hormones are good, we need them, we're humans and omnivores, not ruminants.
sabellumm 1 month ago
@sabellumm This is actually a somewhat common misconception. The sad part is, a lot of milk farms DON'T follow the practices they claim to in order to turn a higher profit. I'm not saying every farm does so, but most major conventional farms have and will continue to be caught exploiting their animals for a higher profit. Small local organic farms ftw. :) Also worth noting that pasteurizing the milk makes it lose a lot of the nutrients a human omnivore depends on.

i used to have pretty severe acne and i tried creams, neutrogena, clean and clear, proactiv, you name it! i heard from a friend that dairy can cause acne. i immediately began drinking organic milk because it has minimal to no hormones, and my skin cleared within two weeks. it doesnt work for everybody, and i understand this, but give it a try.. i still have scars and i obviously get breakouts about once every two weeks, but that's usually from other causes.

my nutritionist told me to go dairy free, but it was almost impossible considering that almost every food contains some kind of dairy. I didn't notice anything dramatically different in the three weeks that i went dairy free, so I really don't think dairy has such a big affect on acne. You might discover a dairy allergy though! It doesnt hurt to try this method out

reducing intake of sugar and refined carbohydrates or giving it up completely, gluten to should be avoided Reduce Your Intake Of Dairy And Red Meat
Avoid coffee, tea, chocolate and other stimulant containing drinks.
Refined carbs/sugar = more insulin = more hormones = more sebum (oil) = more bacteria = more acne
reduce stress-exercise and relaxation techniques
probiotics also

@GarfieldInDaHouse1 How long will you have to take antibiotics for? Once you are off the antibiotics does the acne just come back?
How can you continue to keep the acne off without having to continue buying medication?
Honestly I'd rather start changing a few things in my diet instead of ruining my body with antibiotics. You should look into antibiotics and candida.

I still do have acne problems, but when I compare it to those I used to have, it's really much better now. I've been drinking soy milk, but since I noticed my skin condition getting worse again when drinking a lot of it, I switched to oat milk and it's ok now :)

Did you know you can order a pizza without cheese?
beacon920 2 months ago
My sister had bad acne and then she changed her diet and her acne really cleared up. She cut out most dairy and she would have almond milk or soy milk. Now she gets "raw" milk both cow and goat from a local farm. She found that the raw milk doesn't cause a problem (as long as she drinks in moderation, but just a little of the store milk can cause a break-out). And she cut out most junk food, sodas, and sugars and her health has improved so much. People don't even realize how poisonous it is.

I did dairy free last year around this time, and my skin was really clear as well as my scars where healing. I was also eating tons of baby carrots (2 bags a week) at the time just because they're tasty (which I just learned help heal scars). So I think both combined it helped. Somewhere along the line I fell off the no-dairy I can't remember how..but It probably went something like "oh, I haven't had dairy in a while, I'll just have this one little piece it won't hurt me"
noirshore 3 months ago
So basically for the months in between then it got really bad. Then I had this allergic reaction to counterfeit bbcream and it became the worst I've ever had in my life. I thought I was doomed, and I was thinking "my skin was so nice last winter, what was I doing?" and then I remembered telling my friends all the time back then "oh I can't have any of that, it's dairy" I was also semi-off sugar like things high in sugar. SO a few weeks ago I immediately stopped eating cheese or using any dairy..
noirshore 3 months ago
I have been No-dairy for two weeks, low sugar intake, and I drink Coconut Milk because I heard Coconut Milk is good nourishment for skin...and I've seen a huge difference! My skin is clear of the "pustules" I was getting all over (those were scary)! Tip # 2: Try Aubrey's Organics . Her stuff is a god send miracle for your skin. I use daily: Neautrogena Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask w/ a drop of her jojoba oil, then the Algea and grape seed kit. <--they're all like mineral moisturizers.
noirshore 3 months ago
Organic Rose-Hip Oil on my eyelids and lips everyday+night to heal dryness and some rough skin form dermatitis I had from the fake bb cream reaction. And tiny dabs on any scars will help them heal faster! Make-up: I use Lioele BB Cream! If you don't know about "BB Creams" look it up, they're really wonderful! I think SKin79 Dream Girls BB Cream is good for healing, Lioele (Triple The Solution) is also great (the one I use now). Just BE VERY careful you do NOT get a "counterfeit"..

@DiamondsAndHeels14 omg thank you so much! i just started going dairy free too and so far it has been doing wonders for my skin and my body in general! i guess were in this together now lovely lolxx
n3verh0pe 3 months ago
@n3verh0pe Dairy doesn't help acne, in most cases it causes it to be worse. In most cases dairy causes acne b/c now cows are pumped with steroids to cause hormonal bursts to produce more milk and meat. The body has a really hard time digesting dairy and will often cause more breakouts and problems. I recommend rice, almond, or coconut milk. I have made a few videos on this too.
acneerasingsecrets 3 months ago
@acneerasingsecrets what is rice milk? lol i have never heard of that before but it sounds cool! but i was wondering my doctor prescribed me antibiotics to help with my acne but isn't that also bad for you body..? :/
n3verh0pe 3 months ago
@n3verh0pe It's milk made from rice, you can get ti pretty much anywhere now. Antibiotics do cause problems and aren't good for the body. They kill both the good and bad bacteria in the body and you need the good bacteria (aka: probiotics) to clear up the skin for good... this is why an antibiotic will never clear acne and is a waste of time. Your body isn't deficient in an antibiotic, it's simply missing nutrients that it needs to create healthy clear skin and the junk get's in the way.

You should try almond milk or coconut milk! No dairy but you still get the calcium!

How are you going? xx

MILK= CALCIUM... Your bones need calcium. Don't play with your health.
Soniahg1988 5 months ago
@Soniahg1988 -- Americans have among the highest osteoporosis rates in the world, while their dairy intake is also among the highest. If you take in plant based protein, you will be able to get enough calcium from greens, beans, or fortified foods.
bl0084 5 months ago
@bl0084 FACINATING! :) and yes, calcium does come from other sources... amazing statistic!
